Today’s Menu: Grilled Turkey Bratwursts and Baked Fries

For Breakfast this morning I toasted a Thomas Light English Muffin that I topped with I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter. I also had my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. 40 degrees and cloudy out today. We need a week of sunshine around here! After Breakfast I went to Walmart for a couple of items. Back home did a load of laundry and did a few things around the house. For Dinner tonight I had Grilled Brats and Baked Fries for Dinner.

Having the Johnsonville Fresh Turkey Premium Original Bratwurst. They are so delicious and fresh! They cook up on the grill or skillet perfect every time!

So I uncovered the Grill outside and fired it up. Back inside I got the Bratwursts out of the fridge and sprayed them with Pam Non Stick Spray. With the grill ready I added the Brats and shut the lid of the grill. Grilled them for about 18 minutes, turning the links often.

To go with my Brats I prepared some Ore Ida Golden Crinkle Cut French Fries. Like all the Ore Ida Products, they are easy to prepare and delicious. I just baked them for 19 minutes and done! Served them with a side of Hunt’s Ketchup. For Dessert/Snack later a 100 Calorie Mini Bag of Snyder’s of Hanover Pretzel Sticks with a Diet Peach Snapple to drink.

Today’s Menu: Dirty Rice with Turkey Italian Sausage and Baked Garlic Loaf Bread

For Breakfast this morning I toasted a Thomas Light English Muffin that I topped with Smucker’s Sugar Free Blackberry Jam. Also had my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea, as always! I went to Meijer to do some Christmas Shopping and Grocery’s. I went right after Breakfast to avoid the crowds, and it was crowded by the time I left! For Dinner tonight I’m preparing Dirty Rice with Turkey Italian Sausage and Baked Garlic Loaf Bread.

For the Dirty Rice I used a box of Zatarain’s Dirty Rice. The Mix includes a Long Grain Rice Mix with Vegetables and Spices. I added the Sausage. Really looking forward to this meal!

To prepare it; I first prepared the Turkey Sausage. I used Johnsonville Turkey Italian Sausages. I bought these from Meijer which carries the the full line of Johnsonville Products. First time using these, and they look delicious! Started by browning the Turkey Sausages in a 3-quart saucepan. Removed them from the skillet to plate and sliced the Sausages into bite size pieces and returned them to the skillet. When done I drained the fat. Stirred in 2 1/2 cups of Water and the Rice Mix into the saucepan until it was well blended. Brought it to a boil. Reduced the heat to low and covered. Simmered for 25 minutes until the Rice was tender.

Removed the sauce pan from the heat. Let it stand for 5 minutes, fluffed the Rice up and served! Delicious, the Sausage is so good and Rice and Mix all made some fantastic Dirty Rice and Sausage! Then I also baked a loaf of La Baguetterie Roasted Garlic Oval Bread. Perfect Bread with any Dish! I loved this dish tonight, plenty leftover for tomorrow’s Dinner! For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn with a Diet Dr. Pepper to drink.

Today’s Menu: Biscuits and Gravy w/ Turkey Sausage Links

I just had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea for Breakfast. Another cold morning to start, 35 degrees. For the day it was 38 degrees Cloudy, with a cold wind blowing. I ran a couple of errands for Mom and stopped by the ATM and got gas before heading home. Did some house cleaning and that was about it for today. For Dinner tonight, Breakfast! I’m having Biscuits and Gravy w/ Turkey Sausage Links. I love Biscuits and Gravy!

To make the Gravy I’m using a packet of my favorite Gravy, Pioneer Peppered Gravy Mix. So easy to prepare and absolutely delicious! To prepare it I get a small sauce pan and give it a light spray of Pam non Stick Cooking Spray w/ Olive Oil. I add a 1 1/2 cups of Cold Water to the pan and heat it on high to rolling boil. As that is heating up I preheated the oven for the Pillsbury Biscuits and I mixed the Gravy. In a measuring cup I added a 1/2 cup of Cold Water and then added the Gravy Mix to the Water and stirred until it smooth. When the Water was boiling I added the Gravy Mix. Turned down the heat a notch or two and started stirring the Mix and Water. Continued stirring until it started to thicken. Removed it from the heat and continued to stir it for about 30 seconds. I put the lid on the sauce pan and set it aside until I was ready to use it.

Time to bake the Pillsbury Flaky Layers Buttermilk Biscuits! Took a small baking pan and sprayed a light coat of the Pam Cooking Spray on it. Added the Biscuits and popped the pan in the oven. I’m baking them 400ᵒ F for 10 minutes. And as all Pillsbury Biscuits, they came out perfect. Flaky, hot, and ready to serve. Put the Biscuits on a paper towel lined plate and covered them with a towel until ready to use.

So as the Biscuits were baking I fried my Johnsonville Fresh Turkey Original Breakfast Sausage. I love these Breakfast Links that Johnsonville has come out with! To prepare them I coated a skillet with Pam Non Stick Cooking Spray and heat the skillet to medium-low. Added the Sausage and cooked for 11 minutes, turning often, until the Sausage was browned. I love these Sausages! They cook up perfect and are delicious.

To serve everything, I got a bowl and added 2 Biscuits, topped them with the Gravy, and added a couple of the Sausage Links. Then chowed down! Everything is so good. Breakfast for Dinner is fantastic! For Dessert/Snack later a 100 Calorie Mini Bag of Snyder’s of Hanover Mini Pretzels with a Diet Peach Snapple to drink.

Today’s Menu: Dirty Rice with Turkey Italian Sausage and Baked Garlic Loaf Bread

For Breakfast on this morning I Fried 3 Fresh Johnsonville Turkey Breakfast Sausage Links, prepared some Simply Potatoes Shredded Hash Browns, and had my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea, as always! Mostly sunny and a high of 93 degrees. But with the high humidity the heat index makes it feel like 98-100 degrees. I got some yard work done early before it was too hot. Went to Kroger for Mom later to pick up a prescription. So for Dinner tonight I’m preparing Dirty Rice with Turkey Italian Sausage and Baked Garlic Loaf Bread.

For the Dirty Rice I used a box of Zatarain’s Dirty Rice. The Mix includes a Long Grain Rice Mix with Vegetables and Spices. I added the Sausage. I always look forward to this meal!

To prepare it; I first prepared the Turkey Sausage. I used Johnsonville Turkey Italian Sausages. I bought these from Meijer which carries the the full line of Johnsonville Products. Started by browning the Turkey Sausages in a 3-quart saucepan. Removed them from the skillet to plate and sliced the Sausages into bite size pieces. When done I drained what little fat from the skillet. Stirred in 2 1/2 cups of Water and the Rice Mix into the saucepan until it was well blended. Brought it to a boil. Reduced the heat to low and covered. Simmered for 25 minutes until the Rice was tender. With 5 minutes of cooking time left I added the Sausage back to the skillet, stirring well to mix with Rice.

For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn with a Diet 1/2 and 1/2 Lemonade/Tea Snapple to drink. I love my Snapple!

Abe Froman Pizza (Sausage Pizza)

Today’s Menu: Abe Froman Pizza (Sausage Pizza)

To start this Monday morning off I Poached an Egg and served it on a toasted slice of Aunt Millie’s Light Whole Grain Bread. Also fried up 3 slices of al fresco Chicken Bacon and had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Went to McDonald’s and picked up Breakfast for Mom. 73 degrees with rain and thunderstorms out to today. I spent most of the day resting. I’ve had a bad Sinus Headache for the last day or so. So some rest and doing nothing felt real good. Feeling a lot better as the day went on! For Dinner tonight I prepared a Abe Froman Pizza (Sausage Pizza).

For those not familiar with who Abe Froman is – Abe Froman Sausage King of Chicago is a mentioned character in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off movie, who reserved a dining spot at the Chez Quis restaurant but was a no show. His identity was stolen by Ferris Bueller in the movie. So another name for a Sausage Pizza is an Abe Froman.

I’m having a Abe Froman PizzaTonight (Sausage Pizza). I’ll need; Stonefire Wholegrain Naan Bread, Johnsonville Fresh Turkey Italian Dinner Sausage, LaRosa’s Pizza Sauce, sliced Mini Portabella Mushrooms, sliced Italian Marinated Green Olives, and Sargento Off the Block Mozzarella Cheese. I love this Stonefire Mini Naan Ancient Grain Bread, it tastes so fresh and bakes up perfect!

To prepare it; I first Preheated the oven on 400 degrees. Next I grabbed a skillet, sprayed it with Pam No Stick Cooking Spray, and heated it on medium heat. I’m using Johnsonville Fresh Turkey Dinner Italian Sausages. I bought these from Meijer which carries the the full line of Johnsonville Products. I used these for the first time a couple of weeks ago and love them! Started by browning the Turkey Sausages in the skillet. When done I removed them from the skillet to a plate and sliced the Sausages into bite size pieces.

As the Sausage was cooking I sliced up the Green Olives. Then I got a baking sheet and lined it with foil. With the oven preheated, I put the 2 Naan Breads on the tray and sprayed the tops with Pam Non-Stick Cooking Spray. Slid the tray into the oven and baked for 2 minutes. Removed it from the oven and let them cool.

When the Bread cooled I added the toppings on top. I started with the LaRosa’s Pizza Sauce. Next I added the Mozzarella Cheese, sprinkled the Mushrooms and Olives, then I loaded it up with the Turkey Sausage, and topped it with some more of the Mozzarella Cheese. Slid the baking sheet back into the oven to bake.

I baked the Naan Bread Pizzas for about 9 minutes, until the ingredients had heated through and Cheese melted. Pulled the baking sheet from the oven and let the Pizzas cool for 3 minutes. The Naan Bread makes a perfect Pizza Crust! The Crust had excellent taste and baked up perfect. Then with all my toppings had some great Pizza. The new Johnsonville Fresh Turkey Dinner Sausages were flat out delicious on the Pizza! Plus a lot fewer calories and carbs than normal Pizza Pies. There were 2 of Naan Breads in the package. Mom wanted some Pepperoni Slices so one one of the Naan Breads I added Hormel Turkey Pepperoni to it. I always have couple of packs of the Stonefire Naan Bread in the freezer. For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn and a Coke Zero to drink.

Today’s Menu: Grilled Turkey Bratwursts and Baked Fries

For Breakfast this morning I Scrambled a couple of Eggs and topped them with Sargento Shredded Reduced Calorie Sharp Cheddar Cheese. Then I made some Simply Potatoes Shredded Hash Browns and toasted a slice of Aunt Millie’s Light Whole Grain Bread. I also had my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. I was starved this morning! 91 degrees and partly cloudy today, and very humid. My allergies kept me in most of the day. Sneezing along with one bad headache. For Dinner tonight I prepared Grilled Brats, Baked Fries and Beans.

Having the Johnsonville Fresh Turkey Premium Original Bratwurst. They are so delicious fresh! They are natural meat color instead of the usual white colored Brats. Love these.

I went out and started the grill. Back inside I got the Bratwursts out of the fridge and sprayed them with Pam Non Stick Spray. With the grill ready I added the Brats and shut the lid of the grill. Grilled them for about 18 minutes, turning links often.

To go with my Brats I prepared some Ore Ida Golden Crinkle Cut French Fries for us. Like all the Ore Ida Products, they are easy to prepare and delicious. I just baked them for 19 minutes and done! Served them with a side of Hunt’s Ketchup. For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn with a Sprite Zero to drink.

Today’s Menu: Grilled Turkey Bratwursts and Baked Fries

For Breakfast this morning I had a Jimmy Dean Simple Scramble Cup – Crumbled Turkey Sausage, Egg Whites, Cheddar Cheese. I also had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Partly cloudy and 81 degrees out today. After Breakfast I went to Walmart Garden Center looking for a few things. We have a real problem with flies this year. It’s worse this year than we have ever seen. They are so bad that it makes it tough to even use the grill. I bought a couple of the Citrusnella Candles to see that could help.  Sunny, 89 degrees, and the humidity has returned! For Dinner tonight I prepared Grilled Brats, Baked Fries and Beans.

Having the new Brats I came across at Meijer a couple of months ago, Johnsonville Fresh Turkey Premium Original Bratwurst. They are so delicious fresh! They are natural meat color instead of the usual white colored Brats.

I went out and started the grill. Back inside I got the Bratwursts out of the fridge and sprayed them with Pam Non Stick Spray. With the grill ready I added the Brats and shut the lid of the grill. Grilled them for about 18 minutes, turning links often.

The Brats came out incredible again! These are excellent Brats. Grilled up great, great tasting, and stayed firm after cooking. All good traits of Bratwursts. I’ve got a couple of packages in the freezer! Served them on a Aunt Millie’s Reduced Calorie Hot Dog Bun and topped them with French’s Spicy Brown Mustard.
