Today’s Menu: Grilled Turkey Bratwursts and Baked Fries

For Breakfast this morning I had a Jimmy Dean Simple Scramble Cup – Crumbled Turkey Sausage, Egg Whites, Cheddar Cheese. I also had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Partly cloudy and 81 degrees out today. After Breakfast I went to Walmart Garden Center looking for a few things. We have a real problem with flies this year. It’s worse this year than we have ever seen. They are so bad that it makes it tough to even use the grill. I bought a couple of the Citrusnella Candles to see that could help.  Sunny, 89 degrees, and the humidity has returned! For Dinner tonight I prepared Grilled Brats, Baked Fries and Beans.

Having the new Brats I came across at Meijer a couple of months ago, Johnsonville Fresh Turkey Premium Original Bratwurst. They are so delicious fresh! They are natural meat color instead of the usual white colored Brats.

I went out and started the grill. Back inside I got the Bratwursts out of the fridge and sprayed them with Pam Non Stick Spray. With the grill ready I added the Brats and shut the lid of the grill. Grilled them for about 18 minutes, turning links often.

The Brats came out incredible again! These are excellent Brats. Grilled up great, great tasting, and stayed firm after cooking. All good traits of Bratwursts. I’ve got a couple of packages in the freezer! Served them on a Aunt Millie’s Reduced Calorie Hot Dog Bun and topped them with French’s Spicy Brown Mustard.

To go with my Brats I prepared some Ore Ida Golden Crinkle Cut French Fries for us. Like all the Ore Ida Products, they are easy to prepare and delicious. I just baked them for 19 minutes and done! Served them with a side of Hunt’s Ketchup. For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn with a Sprite Zero to drink.

Hot, humid, and rain on and off all day. After I ate I went and picked up Breakfast for Mom at McDonald’s. Later on I took Mom with me out to our home in Ross, Ohio. Nice going out there from time to time, we really miss living out there. Lot of farm land but not too far out from different parts of Hamilton, Fairfield, and Colerain. They actually some how got their corn crop out and it should be producing before too long. Amazing they were able to plant with all the rain we have had all year. Stopped at a couple of Farmer’s Markets while out there and Mom picked up some Sweet Corn and Tomatoes. Sure was nice going back home! So back home for Dinner tonight I prepared Grilled Brats and Baked Fries.

Today’s Menu: Bluegrass Deliciously Lean Mettwursts

For Breakfast this morning I toasted a Thomas Light English Muffin and topped it with I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter. Also had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Outside its mostly sunny and 90 degrees, 2 days in a row of no rain! Took my car and then took Mom’s car up to the car wash. Then went to Walmart and bought Mom some new car floor mats. Got the cart out of the shed and did some yard work and a spin around the neighborhood. For Dinner I prepared a couple of Bluegrass Deliciously Lean Mettwursts for Dinner tonight.

I had purchased a couple of packages of the Bluegrass Lean Mettwurst while at Jungle Jim’s International Market last week. Had them in the freezer so I took a couple of them out of the package to thaw overnight in the fridge.

To prepare them I used a medium size skillet that I sprayed with Pam Cooking Spray and added the Metts. I then added water to the pan, just enough water to cover about a 1/4 of Metts. Turned the heat on medium and covered the pan. I turned the Metts frequently to get a nice even cook on them. When the water had boiled down I cooked them an extra 3 minutes to brown them. They turned out fantastic, nice and meaty! Plus being the Bluegrass Lean type , just 1/2 the calories of other Metts. I served them on Aunt Millie’s Reduced Calorie Whole Grain Hot Dog Buns and topped with French’s Spicy Brown Mustard. I also made a Baked Potato for Mom. A couple of Metts was plenty for Dinner tonight for me. For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn and a Sprite Zero to drink.

Today’s Menu: Grilled Mettwursts w/ Baked Fries

To start this morning off I prepared a Poached Egg and served it on a toasted Thomas Light 100% Multi Grain English Muffin. I also heated up a couple of Johnsonville Turkey Breakfast Sausage Links had my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Mostly cloudy and 64 degrees out today. The wind is blowing around 20 miles per hour and there’s a bit of nip in air! Got the cart out of the shed and did some yard work and I planted 4 Tomato Plants that I had bought Mom yesterday. We have a nice little mini garden going. Tomato Plants, a Rosemary plant, a couple of Parsley plants, 2 Bell Pepper plants, a Thai Pepper Plant, a Jalapeno Plant, and 4 Strawberry plants. For Dinner tonight I fired the Grill back up. Tonight its Grilled Lean Mettwursts w/ Baked Fries.

I had a package of the Blue Grass Lean Mettwursts that I bought from Jungle Jim’s in the freezer. Sat the package in the fridge over night to thaw. There’s 6 Sausages that come in the package. I greased the grill grates and fired the grill up! I prepared all 6 of the of the Metts, we’ll have the leftovers for a couple of Lunches. We served the Sausages on Aunt Millie’s Light Whole Grain Hot Dog Buns and topped them with French’s Spicy Brown Mustard. Nothing like Grilling! These are 70 less calories than the normal Mett, bought 4 packages of those and have them in the freezer.

I also prepared some Ore Ida Golden Crinkle Cut French Fries. Like all the Ore Ida Products, they are easy to prepare and delicious. I just baked them for 19 minutes and done! Served them with a side of Hunt’s Ketchup. For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn with a Coke Zero to drink.

Grilled Pastrami and Swiss Sandwich w/ Chips and Ranch Dip

Today’s Menu: Grilled Pastrami and Swiss Sandwich w/ Chips and Ranch Dip

To start my morning off I prepared a Poached Egg, toasted a couple of slices of Aunt Millie’s Light Whole Grain Bread, and made that morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. After Breakfast I headed up to McDonald’s and picked up Breakfast for Mom. Outside it’s partly cloudy with passing showers, 75 degrees. But the pollen and mold count is sky high! My allergies kicked in this morning when I went out to grab the morning newspapers. I started sneezing all day and a headache. Stayed in all day and dealt with that. My allergies have never been this bad! For Dinner tonight I prepared a Grilled Pastrami and Swiss Sandwich w/ Chips and Ranch Dip.

I love Pastrami Sandwiches so when I went to Kroger the other day I purchased some more of the Boar’s Head Cap-Off Top Round Pastrami and Boar’s Head Imported Switzerland Swiss Cheese. Besides the Pastrami and Swiss Cheese I’ll need; Aunt Millie’s Light Whole Grain Bread, French’s Spicy Brown Mustard, and Blue Bonnet Light Butter.

To prepare it I used my flat top griddle. I gave it a light spray of Pam Non Stick Cooking Spray and a 1/2 tablespoon of the Blue Bonnet Butter. Heated the griddle on medium heat. Next I got 2 slices of the Aunt Millie’s Bread and spread the Brown Mustard on the inside of 1 slice. Added a slice of the Swiss Cheese and then the Pastrami. Top with another slice of bread. Finally I spread the Blue Bonnet Butter on the outside of both slices of Bread.

With the griddle heated and ready I grilled my Sandwich. Grilled each side until The Bread is toasted and the Cheese melted. Grilled and Ready! The Sandwich was delicious. The Pastrami and Swiss was so good, with the Spicy Brown Mustard adding all kinds of flavor. Swiss Cheese provides such great flavor, especially when it starts to melt. So Good!

To go with the Sandwich I had some Mike Sells Reduced Fat Potato Chips. I don’t have Potato Chips that often but with any Sandwich they go great! I also had some Lay’s Ranch Chip Dip for my Chip Dip. For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn along with a Peach Diet Snapple to drink.

Boar’s Head Cap-Off Top Round Pastrami
This hand-trimmed top round is rich and smokey and is generously coated with spices, including black pepper, ginger, cloves and coriander, then patiently smoked. Boar’s Head Top Round Pastrami is bursting with classic New York deli flavor

Boar’s Head Imported Switzerland Swiss Cheese
Made in Switzerland with Alpine milk under the watchful eye of Käse Meisters, this cheese has a nutty, slightly sweet flavor with earthy notes. Boar’s Head Imported Switzerland Swiss Cheese is aged more than 120 days to produce a bold taste, rich color and smooth texture.

Today’s Menu: Grilled Turkey Bratwursts and Baked Fries

For Breakfast I toasted a Thomas Light English Muffin and topped it with Smucker’s Sugarless Blackberry Jam. Also had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. 85 degrees, humid, and a chance of a shower. Same weather for the next week or so. Got the cart and leaf blower out of the shed to do some yard work. Sprayed for weeds then cleaned off the deck and driveway areas. The sun is too hot and too humid to stay out any long periods. Took a spin around the neighborhood and went down by the lake for a bit. For Dinner tonight I prepared Grilled Turkey Bratwursts and Baked Fries.

Tried a new Brat I came across at Meijer the other day, Johnsonville Fresh Turkey Premium Original Bratwurst. They looked delicious so I thought I would give them a try. They are natural meat color instead of the usual white colored Brats.

I went out and started the grill. Back inside I got the Bratwursts out of the fridge and sprayed them with Pam Non Stick Spray. With the grill ready I added the Brats and shut the lid of the grill. Grilled them for about 21 minutes, turning links often.

The Brats came out incredible! These are excellent Brats. Grilled up great, great tasting, and stayed firm after cooking. All good traits of Bratwursts. I’ll purchase more of these soon! Served them on a Aunt Millie’s Reduced Calorie Hot Dog Bun and topped them with French’s Spicy Brown Mustard.

To start this Wednesday morning off I prepared a Poached Egg and served it on a toasted Thomas Light 100% Multi Grain English Muffin. I also had my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Partly cloudy and 84 degrees out today. I had to have Mom back at the Dermatologist at 10:00. Her face is slowly healing up from the cream to take of the precancer places on her cheeks. Afterward we stopped at McDonald’s and picked up Breakfast for her. Afterward I went back out and stopped by the ATM then went to Home Depot. I needed a couple of bags of Black Wood Chips and a bag of Potted Soil. For Dinner tonight I fired the Grill back up. Tonight its Grilled Bratwursts and Mettwursts w/ Baked Fries.

Sweet Italian Turkey Sausage w/ Baked Fries

Today’s Menu: Sweet Italian Turkey Sausage w/ Baked Fries

For Breakfast this morning, my favorite! I made some Simply Potatoes Shredded Hash Browns, Heated up some Meijer Diced Ham, fried an Egg Sunnyside Up, made a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. I made a bed of the Hash Browns in a bow and sprinkled some Sargento Reduced Fat Sharp Cheddar Cheese. Next I put the Diced Ham over top the Hash Browns then put the Sunnyside Up Egg on to top it off! Rain, windy, and 62 degrees outside. So much rain this year. Good day to get the house cleaned, dusted and ran the sweeper. Also did the laundry. For Dinner tonight its a Sweet Italian Turkey Sausage w/ Baked Fries.

I used my favorite, the healthy and delicious Jennie O Lean Sweet Italian Turkey Sausages. I bought a package of them at Meijer the other day. I prepared 3 of them and froze the rest. I pan fried them, using Pam w/ Olive Oil Cooking Spray and no oil needed. Heated the pan on medium and cooked a total of about 17 minutes, turning the Sausages occasionally. They fry up plump and brown, as always Jennie – O Products always have that fresh taste to them. The Sausages have 160 calories and 0 carbs per Sausage. I served it on a Aunt Millie’s Reduced Calorie Whole Grain Bun and topped with French’s Spicy Brown Mustard. Love these!

Then for a side I baked some more of the Alexia Organic Yukon Select Fries. Seasoned them with McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Black Peppercorn Medley. Baked them at 425 degrees for 18 minutes. They bake up beautifully and seasoned just right, excellent type of Shoestring Fry! Plus they are only 120 calories and 15 net carbs. No Dessert tonite.
