Today’s Menu: Smoked Turkey Sausage Dogs w/ Baked Fries

 

For Breakfast this morning I Poached an Egg, toasted 2 slices of Aunt Millie’s light Whole Grain Bread, and had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Outside its cloudy and a high of 81 degrees. After Breakfast I went to the Walmart Garden Center, looking for a grill. Then to Kroger and picked up a couple of items and then stopped by McDonald’s and picked up Breakfast for Mom. After Lunch got the cart out of the shed and finished up some yard work. Anyway for Dinner tonight its a Smoked Turkey Sausage Dogs w/ Baked Fries.

 

 

 

 


I used the Butterball Hardwood Smoked Turkey Sausage. I cut the Sausage Links into Bun length pieces. I absolutely love the Butterball Hardwood Smoked Turkey Sausage and I had been wanting some for a while. It’s got such a fantastic flavor and always cooks up just right. To prepare them I used a large skillet, added about a 1/2 tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and preheated it on medium heat. Put the Sausage in the skillet when it was heated up and covered with a lid. I turned the Sausage every few minutes to get an even char on them, cooked about 11 minutes total. As always they came out just bursting with flavor and flat-out delicious! I served it on a Aunt Millie’s Reduced Calorie Whole Grain Hot Dog Bun and topped with French’s Spicy Brown Mustard. I love these Smoked Sausages.

 

 


To go with the Sausage Dog I baked up some Alexia Organic Yukon Select Fries. Seasoned them with Morton’s Lite salt and Ground Black Pepper. Baked them at 425 degrees for 16 minutes. They bake up beautifully and seasoned just right.! Plus they are only 120 calories and 15 net carbs. Served with a side of my favorite Ketchup, Hunt’s Ketchup. For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn with a Coke Zero to drink.

Today’s Menu: Turkey Meatball Mini Sub w/ Baked Crinkle Fries

 

 

 

For Breakfast this morning I toasted a couple of Nutri Grain Eggo’s and I had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. 61 degrees and mostly sunny out today, 2 days in a row with no rain! After Breakfast I went to McDonald’s and picked up Breakfast for Mom. Dropped that off and headed back out to Menard’s. They had some Whiskey Barrel Plant Buckets and Mom had been wanting one so I purchased 1 for her. I also picked up another plant bucket along with a couple of bags of Peat Moss, 2 bags of Dirt, Weed Spray and a few Vegetable and Spice Plants. I replanted a few of plants and then finished up working on the backyard flower bed. So for Dinner tonight I prepared a Turkey Meatball Mini Sub w/ Baked Fries.

 

 

 

 

I had used the Honeysuckle White Fresh Italian Style Turkey Meatballs leftover from yesterday meal. The Meatballs are good size, always fresh, meaty, and have a fantastic taste and they’re 190 calories and 5 net carbs for 3 Meatballs. Plus they’re a perfect size for Hoagie or Hot Dog Buns, I used Aunt Millie’s Reduced Calorie Whole Grain Hot Dog Buns.

 

 

 

 

 

For my Pasta Sauce I had used the LaRosa’s Original Sauce. A local favorite and mine also, it’s got a perfect combination of a robust sauce with a hint of sweetness to it. To prepare it I took a medium size sauce pan and sprayed it with Pam Cooking Spray. Emptied the can of Sauce in the pan and turned the heat on medium. Then I added my Turkey Meatballs and covered the pan and let it simmer until both the Sauce and Meatballs were heated through.

 

 

 

 

 

I’m using Sargento Shredded Mozzarella Cheese as a topping for the Sub. You can use Hoagie Buns but to save on calories and carbs I usually just use Aunt Millie’s Reduced Fat Whole Grain Hot Dog Buns. To assemble; open the Bun up, put the Meatballs and Sauce in the Bun , top it with a few shakes of McCormick Grinder Italian Seasoning, and top it with the Sargento Shredded Mozzarella Cheese. Love these Meatball Sandwiches! The Larosa’s Sauce just seems to bring the Sandwich together! Sauce is incredible, Turkey Meatballs flavorful and meaty, and the Mozzarella is perfect with Pasta and Sauces.

 

 

 

 

For my Fries I’m using Alexia Organic Yukon Select Fries. Seasoned them with McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Black Peppercorn Medley. Baked them at 425 degrees for 16 minutes. They bake up beautifully and seasoned just right, excellent Shoestring Fry! Plus they are only 120 calories and 15 net carbs. Today’s Menu: Turkey Frank Cincinnati Style Cheese Coneys

 

 

For Breakfast Poached an Egg and served it on a toasted slice of Aunt Millie’s Light Whole Grain Bread. I also had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Cloudy and 56 degrees out, rain showers moved in later in the day. After I ate I went to McDonald’s to pick up Breakfast for Mom. She went to Church after she ate. I did a load of laundry and then I went to Menard’s looking for a few things. Spent the rest of the afternoon watching The NCAA Basketball Tournament. For Dinner tonight I prepared Turkey Frank Cincinnati Style Cheese Coneys.

 

 

 

 

We love our Cheese Coneys around here! Living here all my life here in the Cincinnati area you are raised on Cheese Coneys. I used Ball Park Smoked White Meat Turkey Franks, an excellent Turkey Frank! I boiled them, it took about 5 minutes and they were ready, plump, and delicious.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I heated the can of Skyline Chili with Beans for my topping. I normally just use the Chili with no Beans but I decided to have it with Beans for a change and really enjoy it! I may have to switch to the Chili with Beans, gave the Coneys even more flavor! I served everything on a Aunt Millie’s Reduced Calorie Hot Dog Buns. Put the Frank in the Bun then topped it with French’s Yellow Mustard, the Chili, and Sargento Reduced Fat Sharp Cheddar Shredded Cheese. Had a small side of some Skyline Oyster Crackers with a few drops of Frank’s Hot Sauce on them, which is a common way to have them here in the Cincinnati area. We love our Chili, Chili Dogs, Chili Spaghetti, and Hot Sauce here in the Cincinnati area. For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn with Sprite Zero to drink.

Today’s Menu: Blue Grass Brats and Mettwursts w/ Bourbon and Brown Sugar Beans

 

 

To start the day off I toasted a couple of Eggos – Nutrigrain Waffles and heated up a couple of Johnsonville Turkey Breakfast Sausage Links. Also had my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Mostly cloudy and rain most of the day, high of 52 degrees. This sure beats in the teens and snow! After Breakfast I went to Kroger for Mom for a few items then stopped by McDonald’s to pick up Breakfast for her. I cleaned the carpets today in my bedroom and in the spare bedroom. Thought I would clean them one last time before we replace them later this year. For Dinner tonight Blue Grass Brats and Mettwursts w/ Bourbon and Brown Sugar Beans.

 

 

 

 

For the Sausages I used a package of Blue Grass Brats and Mettwursts. There’s 6 Sausages that come in the package, 3 Brats and 3 Mettwursts. To prepare them; Just add the Brats and Metts to a large skillet and add water, until they are half way covered. Bring them to a brisk boil but then immediately turn down the heat to a very low boil, more of a simmer than an active boil. Cover and Simmer for about 15 to 20 minutes, then finish off in a pan with just the Brats and a little Extra Light Olive Oil to get a nice crispy finish. Love this method, if you can’t grill them. Delicious, plump, and they cook up great! I had 1 Brat and 1 Mett. Served them on Aunt Millie’s Reduced Fat Whole Grain Hot Dog Bun topped with French’s Spicy Brown Mustard.

 

 

 

 


Then for a side I prepared some Bush’s Grillin’ Beans Bourbon and Brown Sugar. I had these before when having Brats or Metts, they go perfect! I just emptied the can into a small sauce pan and heated them until they started to simmer, and serve. Love these Bush’s Beans. Then for Dessert later a Jello Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Pudding topped with Cool Whip Free.

Today’s Menu: Sweet Italian Turkey Sausage w/ Baked Shoestring Fries

 

 

For Breakfast this morning I made some Simply Potatoes Shredded Hash Browns, Heated up some Meijer Diced Ham, fried an Egg Sunnyside Up, made a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. I made a bed of the Hash Browns in a bow and sprinkled some Sargento Reduced Fat Sharp Cheddar Cheese. Next I put the Diced Ham over top the Hash Browns then put the Sunnyside Up Egg on to top it off! Partly cloudy and 35 degrees out this morning. Had a high around 57 degrees with rain moving in later in the day. After Lunch I took Mom over to the bank, then by the post office, and then got her car washed and cleaned the inside of it out for her. For Dinner tonight its a Sweet Italian Turkey Sausage w/ Baked Shoestring Fries.

 

 

 

 

I used my favorite, the healthy and delicious Jennie O Lean Sweet Italian Turkey Sausages. I bought a package of them at Meijer the other day. I prepared 2 of them and froze the rest. I pan fried them, using Pam w/ Olive Oil Cooking Spray and no oil needed. Heated the pan on medium and cooked a total of about 17 minutes, turning the Sausages occasionally. They fry up plump and brown, as always Jennie – O Products always have that fresh taste to them. The Sausages have 160 calories and 0 carbs per Sausage. I served it on a Aunt Millie’s Reduced Calorie Whole Grain Bun and topped with French’s Spicy Brown Mustard. Love these, thank you Jennie – O!

 

 

 

 


Then for a side I baked some more of the Alexia Organic Yukon Select Fries. Seasoned them with McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Black Peppercorn Medley. Baked them at 425 degrees for 18 minutes. For Breakfast I made some French Toast. I love French Toast and have been having it more often. I use Aunt Millie’s Light Whole Grain Bread, Egg Beater’s, Ground Nut Meg and Cinnamon, and to top it Log Cabin Sugarless Maple Syrup and I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter. I also had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. 38 degrees and cloudy all day. Got the cart, rake and leaf blower out, cleaning up leaves again! Today’s Menu: Smoked Turkey Sausage Dogs w/ Baked Fries

 

 

For Breakfast this morning I had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. 20 degrees this morning with frost. 38 degrees and mostly cloudy for the day. I had to be at the Doctor’s Office at 8:30 this morning. Time for my 6 month exam at my Oncologist. He gave a Physical check along with blood work. Everything looked to be normal! It seems a lifetime ago since I had Melanoma Cancer but I guess it will always be in the back of mind the fight I had with it. I’ve come a long way, Caner Free since June or July of 2004! I used to have scans and x-rays one a year but I’ve been cleared to just 2 Physicals a year and 1 visit a year to the Dermatologist. But I’ll always stay alert to any skin changes. Anyway for Dinner tonight its a Smoked Turkey Sausage Dogs w/ Baked Fries.

 

 

 

 

I used the Butterball Hardwood Smoked Turkey Sausage. I cut the Sausage Links into Bun length pieces. I absolutely love the Butterball Hardwood Smoked Turkey Sausage. It’s got such a fantastic flavor and always cooks up just right. To prepare them I used a large skillet, added about a 1/2 tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and preheated it on medium heat. Put the Sausage in the skillet when it was heated up and covered with a lid. I turned the Sausage every few minutes to get an even char on them, cooked about 11 minutes total. As always they came out just bursting with flavor and flat-out delicious! I served it on a Aunt Millie’s Reduced Calorie Whole Grain Hot Dog Bun and topped with French’s Spicy Brown Mustard. I love these Smoked Sausages.

 

 

 

 


To go with the Sausage Dog I baked up some Alexia Organic Yukon Select Fries. Seasoned them with Morton’s Lite salt and Ground Black Pepper. Baked them at 425 degrees for 16 minutes. They bake up beautifully and seasoned just right.! Plus they are only 120 calories and 15 net carbs. Served with a side of my favorite Ketchup, Hunt’s Ketchup. For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn with a Diet Mango Snapple to drink.

Today’s Menu: Turkey Frank Cincinnati Style Cheese Coneys

 

 

For Breakfast I toasted a Healthy Life Multi Grain English Muffin, topped it with some I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter, and had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. 60 degrees and cloudy out with rain on the way overnight. After Breakfast I went to Meijer and then stopped by Kroger for a few items for Mom. Back home it was back to some yard work for the afternoon. For Dinner tonight I prepared Turkey Frank Cincinnati Style Cheese Coneys.

 

 

 

 

 

We love our Cheese Coneys around here! Living here all my life here in the Cincinnati area you are raised on Cheese Coneys. I used Ball Park Smoked White Meat Turkey Franks, an excellent Turkey Frank! I boiled them, it took about 5 minutes and they were ready, plump, and delicious.

 

 

 

 

 

 


I heated the can of Skyline Chili with Beans for my topping. I normally just use the Chili with no Beans but I decided to have it with Beans for a change and really enjoy it! I may have to switch to the Chili with Beans, gave the Coneys even more flavor! I served everything on a Aunt Millie’s Reduced Calorie Hot Dog Buns. Put the Frank in the Bun then topped it with French’s Yellow Mustard, the Chili, and Sargento Reduced Fat Sharp Cheddar Shredded Cheese. Had a small side of some Skyline Oyster Crackers with a few drops of Frank’s Hot Sauce on them, which is a common way to have them here in the Cincinnati area. We love our Chili, Chili Dogs, Chili Spaghetti, and Hot Sauce here in the Cincinnati area. For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn with a Coke Zero to drink.

Today’s Menu: Turkey Meatball Mini Sub w/ Baked Crinkle Fries

 

 

To start this rainy Thursday morning off I made a Breakfast Sandwich using; a toasted Healthy Life Whole Grain English Muffin and lightly fried a al fresco Country Style Chicken Sausage Breakfast Patty. I topped it with a 1/2 slice of Kraft Deli Deluxe Sharp Cheddar Cheese. Also had that morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Did I say it was raining? Pouring the rain, second straight day. They say by Friday we’ll have 4-5 inches of rain! It’s 51 degrees out. So not a lot going on outside so I did a load of laundry and cleaned the house. So for Dinner tonight I prepared a Turkey Meatball Mini Sub w/ Baked Fries.

 

 

 

 

I used the Honeysuckle White Fresh Italian Style Turkey Meatballs leftover from yesterday meal. I always make extra Sauce and Meatballs when I make Spaghetti and Meatballs so I can make a Meatball Hoagie the following day. I’ve been using the Honeysuckle White Fresh Italian Style Turkey Meatballs for quite a few years now. So thank goodness Kroger finally started carrying them again! The Meatballs are good size, always fresh, meaty, and have a fantastic taste and they’re 190 calories and 5 net carbs for 3 Meatballs. Plus they’re a perfect size for Hoagie or Hot Dog Buns, I used Aunt Millie’s Reduced Calorie Whole Grain Hot Dog Buns.

 

 

 

 


For my Pasta Sauce I had used the LaRosa’s Original Sauce. A local favorite and mine also, it’s got a perfect combination of a robust sauce with a hint of sweetness to it. To prepare it I took a medium size sauce pan and sprayed it with Pam Cooking Spray. Emptied the can of Sauce in the pan and turned the heat on medium. Then I added my Turkey Meatballs and covered the pan and let it simmer until both the Sauce and Meatballs were heated through.

 

 

 

 


I’m using Sargento Shredded Mozzarella Cheese as a topping for the Sub. You can use Hoagie Buns but to save on calories and carbs I usually just use Aunt Millie’s Reduced Fat Whole Grain Hot Dog Buns. To assemble; open the Bun up, put the Meatballs and Sauce in the Bun , top it with a few shakes of McCormick Grinder Italian Seasoning, and top it with the Sargento Shredded Mozzarella Cheese. Love these Meatball Sandwiches! The Larosa’s Sauce just seems to bring the Sandwich together! Sauce is incredible, Turkey Meatballs flavorful and meaty, and the Mozzarella is perfect with Pasta and Sauces.

 

 

 

 

For my Fries I’m using Alexia Organic Yukon Select Fries. Seasoned them with McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Black Peppercorn Medley. Baked them at 425 degrees for 16 minutes. They bake up beautifully and seasoned just right, excellent Shoestring Fry! Plus they are only 120 calories and 15 net carbs. For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn and a Diet Dr. Pepper to drink.
