Shredded Turkey Sliders

Looking for a quick and easy dinner recipe? This one serves up tender shredded turkey piled high on slider-style buns—with little prep and just 25 minutes in the oven. A must-try, simple weeknight meal.

 

INGREDIENTS
4 ounces chicken broth
1 tablespoon garlic & herb seasoning
1 teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons butter
1 pound cooked JENNIE-O® Premium Fresh Tender Young Turkey Breast
8 slider buns
garnish with lettuce, if desired

DIRECTIONS
1)Heat oven to 350°F.
2) In baking dish add broth, seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, butter and turkey; mix to combine.
3) Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until hot. Remove from oven and place on slider buns. Garnish with lettuce, if desired.
* Always cook to an internal temperature of 165°F.

Sweet Chili Turkey Pizza
Sweet mother of pizza! A Sweet Chili Turkey Pizza will deliver on taste in ways delivery can’t. Try this easy, homemade pizza recipe for a pizza night that pleases everybody! It’s a little sweet, a little spicy and a lot of flavor.

INGREDIENTS
2 ounces JENNIE-O® Turkey Bacon
8 ounces JENNIE-O® Slow Roasted Dark Turkey
¼ cup diced green bell peppers
1 (12-inch) pre-baked pizza crust
8 ounce sweet chili sauce
2 cups mozzarella Cheese
½ cup Cheddar cheese
½ cup Parmesan cheese

DIRECTIONS
1) Cook turkey bacon as specifed on the package. Always cook to well-done, 165°F as measured by a meat thermometer. Dice; set aside.
2) Shred turkey pot roast, set aside.
3) Spread pizza crust with sweet chili sauce. Add cheeses. Top cheese with shredded turkey, green peppers and bacon bits. Bake 10 to 12 minutes, or until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown.
* Always cook to an internal temperature of 165°F.

Pressure Cooker Buffalo Turkey Stuffed Potatoes
This is a gluten free recipe.

Buffalo love roaming the plains, but there’s nothing plain about these Buffalo Turkey Stuffed Potatoes! They take comfort food out of its comfort zone for a flavorful hit at the picnic.

INGREDIENTS
4 medium baking potatoes
⅓ cup buffalo sauce
⅓ cup barbeque sauce
¼ cup low-sodium chicken broth
1 (24-ounce) package JENNIE-O® Turkey Breast Tenderloin, sliced, ½-inch thick
½ cup shredded Cheddar cheese
¼ cup bleu cheese crumbles

DIRECTIONS
1) Wash potatoes and pierce with a fork on all sides. Place in pressure cooker and manually cook 10 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes and release pressure. Remove potatoes and keep warm. Turn cooker off.
2) Add buffalo sauce, barbeque sauce and broth. Place turkey pieces in buffalo sauce mixture. Secure lid and steam 10 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes and release steam. Shred turkey with 2 forks.
3) Cut potatoes in half lengthwise, fluff potato flesh with a fork. Spoon turkey mixture over potatoes and top with Cheddar cheese and bleu cheese crumbles.
* Always cook to an internal temperature of 165°F.

Turkey Fajita Dog
Franks or fajitas? Why not both! Top your uncured turkey dog with crisp and tender bell peppers, onions, and ripe avocado for a Mexican-inspired twist! These will turn your next family grill out into a delicious turkey frank fiesta.

INGREDIENTS
8 JENNIE-O® Uncured Turkey Breast Franks
1 green bell pepper, sliced
1 red bell pepper sliced
1 small red onion, sliced
1 teaspoon fajita seasoning
1 ripened avocado
½ cup sour cream
¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves
2 tablespoon fresh lime juice
8 hot dog buns or hoagie buns, toasted or warmed

DIRECTIONS
1) Grill turkey franks until heated through.
2) In large cast-iron skillet, over medium-high heat, cook bell peppers and onion until lightly charred and crisp tender. Stir in fajita seasoning and cook 1 minute more.
3) In small bowl, mash avocado with a fork, stir in sour cream, cilantro and lime juice.
4) Place franks in buns, top with bell pepper mixture. Dollop with avocado mixture.

Michigan Turkey Coney Dog
If you’ve ever driven through Michigan, you’ll notice the people who live there love a good Coney. This recipe replicates an authentic Coney with turkey franks, HORMEL® turkey chili and cheddar cheese. It’s a backyard grilling crowd pleaser no matter where you are on the map!

INGREDIENTS
8 JENNIE-O® Jumbo Turkey Franks
8 hot dog buns
1 (15-ounce) can HORMEL® turkey chili, heated according to package directions
½ cup chopped green onion
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
crushed tortilla chips, if desired

DIRECTIONS
1) Cook turkey franks. Place turkey frank in each bun. Top with chili, onion and cheese.

Today’s Menu: Blackberry Glazed Roasted Applewood Smoke Flavor Turkey Breast Tenderloin w/ Mashed Potatoes, Cut Green Beans, and Turkey Stuffing

 

 

 

So for Breakfast this morning I had some more of the Artisan Crafted Kentucky Legend Hickory Smoked Ham. I sliced off a few slices and heated it up in a skillet. Served it with a Sunnyside Up fried Egg and 2 slices of toasted Aunt Millie’s Bread (lightly buttered). Also had my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. I would like to thank all of you for your emails and prayers for the passing of my Dad, very much appreciated! Busy day getting everything done, and very sad. I invited a couple of my Cousins over for Dinner tonight. I prepared a Blackberry Glazed Roasted Applewood Smoke Flavor Turkey Breast Tenderloin w/ Mashed Potatoes, Cut Green Beans, and Stove Top Stuffing.

 

 


I had purchased the Jennie – O Applewood Smoke Flavor Turkey Breast Tenderloin from Meijer and had it in the freezer. Sat it in fridge to thaw overnight. Meijer is the only store that carries this and most of the other Jennie – O Turkey Products. The Turkey Tenderloin comes pre-seasoned and is 100 calories, 4 carbs, and 99% fat free. Besides this beautiful Tenderloin all I’ll need to prepare it is some McCormick Grinders of Sea Salt and Peppercorn Medley, Blackberry Glaze, and Extra Light Olive Oil. To make the Blackberry Glaze I’ll need Smucker’s Sugarless Blackberry Jam, Red Wine Vinegar, Splenda Sugar, and Ground Cinnamon.

 


First I mixed my Blackberry Glaze and set it aside until ready to use. I left the recipe for this at the end of the post. To prepare the Tenderloin I’ll be baking it. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Next sprayed a shallow baking pan with Pam Non Stick Cooking Spray and add a tablespoon of the Extra Light Olive Oil to it. Then place the Tenderloins in the baking pan. With about 10 minutes of cooking time left I Glazed on of the Tenderloins. Bake until meat thermometer inserted into thickest portion of the meat reaches 165°F, approximately 62 minutes. Remove from the oven, cover and let rest 5-10 minutes before slicing.

 


Started slicing it and it’s so very tender and moist. It has a fantastic taste. The Applewood Smoke and combination of Spices it was marinated in was perfect! Good job Jennie- O. For the added Blackberry Glaze , it was perfect! It went with the Turkey perfectly.

 

 

 

 

To go with the Turkey Tenderloin I prepared some Bob Evan’s Mashed Potatoes. Just microwave for 6 minutes and serve, just as good as homemade, if not better.

 

 

 

 

 

 

I also heated up a can of Del Monte Cut Green Beans. Then I also made a box of Kraft Stove Top Lower Sodium Chicken Stuffing. Mom loves Stuffing so I made some for her. For Dessert later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn along with a Diet Dr. Pepper to drink.

 

 

 

 

 

 


BLACKBERRY GLAZE
INGREDIENTS Nutrition
1⁄2 cup Smucker’s Sugarfree Blackberry Jam
2 tablespoons Red Wine Vinegar
1 tablespoon Splenda sugar substitute
1⁄4 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

DIRECTIONS
Whisk Blackberry Jam, Red Wine Vinegar, Splenda, and Cinnamon,in small bowl until blended, set aside.

 

 

 

Jennie – O Applewood Smoke Flavor Turkey Breast Tenderloin

JENNIE-O® Applewood Smoked Turkey Breast Tenderloin is a savory combination of flavor and ease. It comes pre-seasoned so you don’t have to marinate. And it’s 99% fat free and gluten free. Grill up a turkey breast tenderloin at your next barbeque!

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

CONSUMER GAS GRILL:TO GRILL:
Preheat grill over medium heat, place tenderloins directly on grate. Grill, turning occasionally, until meat thermometer inserted into thickest portion of the meat reaches 165°F, approximately 45-50 minutes. Remove from heat, cover and let rest 5-10 minutes before slicing.

CONSUMER OVEN:
TO BAKE:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Place tenderloins in a shallow baking pan. Bake until meat thermometer inserted into thickest portion of the meat reaches 165°F, approximately 60-70 minutes. Remove from oven, cover and let rest 5-10 minutes before slicing.

SLOW COOKER:
Peel back and remove packaging. Place tenderloins (two in each packet) in slow cooker, add ½ cup water, and cover with lid. Cook according to chart below AND until internal temperature reaches 165°F. as measured by a meat thermometer. Remove and serve. Slow cookers may vary in cooking performance.* Always cook to an internal temperature of 165°F.

3) Repeat with remaining turkey slices and ingredients.

Smoked Gouda and Turkey Dip
Get out the crackers. This marvelously melt-y dip recipe makes an amazing no-gluten appetizer that’s highly recommended by us. Low in sodium, low in carbs and done in under 15 minutes!

INGREDIENTS
⅔ cup heavy cream
8 ounces smoked Gouda cheese, cut into small chunks or shredded
½ pound minced JENNIE-O® Oven Browned Turkey Breast, from the service deli
2 green onions, minced
¼ cup chopped walnuts, toasted
1 tablespoon diced pimiento
sliced apples and crackers for dipping, if desired

DIRECTIONS
1) In medium saucepan, heat cream to scalding; slowly add cheese. Stir continuously over low heat until completely melted.
2) Stir in turkey, onions, walnuts and pimiento. Stir and heat through.
3) Pour into heated bowl and serve with sliced apples and crackers for dipping, if desired.

BLT Turkey Brats
Our brats are amazing—but like most things, they only get better when wrapped in bacon. Top that goodness with lettuce and tomato and you’ve got a new summer favorite. Ready in under 30 minutes.

INGREDIENTS
1 (19.5-ounce) package JENNIE-O® Lean Turkey Bratwurst
5 slices JENNIE-O® Turkey Bacon, if desired
5 tablespoons light or fat-free mayonnaise
5 reduced-calorie bratwurst buns, toasted
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 cup chopped tomato

DIRECTIONS
1) Wrap each turkey brat with a slice of bacon, if desired; secure bacon in place with toothpicks. Cook brats as specified on the package. Always cook to well-done, 165ºF as measured by a meat thermometer and bacon is crisp.
2) Spread mayonnaise on each toasted bun. Remove toothpicks from brats and place in buns. Top each brat with lettuce and tomato.
* Always cook to an internal temperature of 165°F.

I’ve got another Delicious and Healthy Jennie – O Turkey Brat recipe to share with all of you, Wisconsin Beer Turkey Brat. We’ve had this a couple of times and love them! You’ll be using the JENNIE-O® Lean Turkey Bratwurst with toppings of Mustard, Sauerkraut, and Fried Onions. The recipe calls for 3 cups of Beer to simmer the Brats in before grilling them. I’ve found a Light Lager Beer gives them the most flavor. You can use any Beer for it though. Wisconsin Beer Turkey Brat

INGREDIENTS
3 cups beer

DIRECTIONS
1) In large saucepan over medium heat, bring beer to simmer. Add brats. Simmer, covered, over low heat 20 to 25 minutes.
2) Prepare grill. Cook brats as specified on the package. Always cook to well-done, 165°F as measured by a meat thermometer.
3) Spread mustard on buns. Add brats. Top with sauerkraut and fried onions.
