Today’s Menu: Turkey Frank Cincinnati Style Cheese Coneys

For Breakfast this morning I had my morning I prepared a packet of Pioneer White Pepper Gravy, toasted 2 slices of Aunt Millie’s Living Carb Smart Wheat Bread, heated up 2 Johnsonville Turkey Sausage Links, and had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Nice start to the day! 84 degrees, mostly sunny, and no humidity. Not bad at all outside. Well it’s been a while since I’ve done a Dinner Post but finally after a lot of pain and 6 weeks of healing I’m almost at 100%. I’ve had a few setbacks along the way but I’m almost there! Word of warning bruised tail bone is No Fun! So I got out and did some yard work. My garden except for 3 plants are done for the year. Feels so good to be out and about pain free! For Dinner tonight it’s Turkey Frank Cincinnati Style Cheese Coneys.

So as usual I used Ball Park Smoked White Meat Turkey Franks, an excellent Turkey Frank! I boiled them, it took about 6 minutes and they were ready, plump, and delicious. Plus they are lower in calories and carbs than most other Hot Dogs, 45 calories and 5 carbs!

I heated a can of Skyline Chili with Beans for my topping. We prefer the Chili with Beans over the Chili with no Beans. It just gives the Coneys even more flavor with the added Beans! I served everything on a Aunt Millie’s Live Carb Smart Hot Dog Buns. Put the Frank in the Bun then topped it with French’s Yellow Mustard, the Chili, and Sargento Reduced Fat Sharp Cheddar Shredded Cheese. Had a small side of some Skyline Oyster Crackers with a few drops of Frank’s Hot Sauce on them, which is a common way to have them here in the Cincinnati area. We love our Chili, Chili Dogs, Chili Spaghetti, and Hot Sauce here in the Cincinnati area. For Dessert/ Snack later a 100 Calorie Mini Bag of Snyder’s Pretzel Sticks with a Diet Peach Snapple to drink. Take Care and Stay Safe Everyone!

Today’s Menu: Turkey and Black Bean Tacos

For Breakfast this morning I had Ham, Eggs, Toast and a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. I baked a small (1.7 lb.) Sugar Dale Ham. I sliced a couple of pieces off and served it with a Sunny Side Up Egg. I also toasted a couple of slices of Aunt Millie’s Live Carb Smart Bread that I topped with I can’t Believe It’s Not Butter. One Delicious Breakfast! 81 degrees, humid with rain showers in the morning. Did a load of laundry right after Breakfast. Added potting soil to a few of the indoor plants and repotted one to a larger pot. Then later I cleaned the kitchen. Scrubbed down the microwave and fridge and sprayed Lysol throughout the house. For Dinner tonight, Turkey and Black Bean Tacos.

I know it’s not Taco Tuesday, but around here it’s Taco Saturday! When making Turkey Tacos I always use Jennie -O Ground Turkey Breast! Love all the Jennie -O Turkey Products, always fresh and low calorie and low carb. I started by frying the Ground Turkey till it was no longer pink in Extra Virgin Olive Oil and seasoning it with Sea Salt, Ground Roasted Cumin, and Cilantro Flakes. As the Turkey was finishing cooking I added 1 can Bush’s Chili Black Beans, 1 package of Old El Paso Low Sodium Taco Seasoning and 3/4 cup Water, and continued to cook and stir for an additional 6 minutes. Jennie -O and Old El Paso together make some fine Tacos!

For toppings I used; Sargento Reduced Fat 4 Cheese Mexican, Sliced Black Olives, Sliced Green Olives, Ortega Smoky Chipotle Taco Sauce (my favorite), Sliced Jalapenos, and Shredded Lettuce. For my Taco Shells I used the Old El Paso Stand N’ Stuff Taco Shells (Whole Grain Corn). Add the Turkey and you have some mouth watering and delicious Tacos! Love these Taco Meal Nights. For Dessert/Snack later a 100 Calorie Mini Bag of Snyder’s Stick Pretzels with a Diet Raspberry Snapple to drink. Take Care and Stay Safe Everyone.

Today’s Menu: Turkey and Black Bean Tacos

To start the day off I made some French Toast. I used Aunt Millie’s Live Carb Smart Wheat Bread, Egg Beaters, 2% Milk, Ground Nutmeg, and Ground Cinnamon. Mix all the ingredients, except the Bread, in a bowl until well mixed. Heat up a skillet sprayed with Pam Non Stick Spray and Blue Bonnet Light Butter. Dip the Bread in the mix and shake off the excess. Then add the Bread and fry until Golden on both sides. I love French Toast! I topped the Toast with the Butter and Log Cabin Sugar Free Maple Syrup. I also heated up 2 Johnsonville Turkey Breakfast Sausage Links and a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Fantastic Breakfast! Outside today, 76 degrees, windy, and cloudy. I met a couple of friends at the West Chester Farmer’s Market. Only my 2nd time there. It’s a whole lot bigger and more expensive since my last visit. Back home it was the usual, watered all the plants and cleaned up the deck and driveway areas. Later I did a load of laundry for Mom. Dinner tonight, Turkey and Black Bean Tacos.

I know it’s not Taco Tuesday but around here it’s Taco Saturday! When making Turkey Tacos I always use Jennie -O Ground Turkey Breast! Today’s Menu: Baked Chili and Cheese Nachos

For Breakfast this morning I had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. 88 degrees and sunny out. I had to break out the sunscreen. We had a heavy thunderstorm last night and more overnight tonight. Hopefully it will stay clear so we can see the Blood Moon Eclipse tonight! After my Tea I went to the Meijer Garden Center. I bought a large Planter, a bag of Potting Soil, and 3 Pepper Plants. I really didn’t need 3 more but as I said before I love growing Flowers and Vegetables! Back home I planted the new Plants. Then I added dirt to some of the other Planters and Watered everything. Beautiful outside! For Dinner tonight a real Comfort Food and Mom’s favorite, Baked Chili and Cheese Nachos.

Not that hungry tonight so it’s going to be an Appetizer for Dinner tonight as I prepared Baked Chili and Cheese Nachos. To make them I’ll need: Tostitos Multi Grain Scoops for my Chips. I love these with Salsa or just as a snack, they bake and hold their shape better than most chips. For my toppings I used 1 can of Mario Sliced Black Olives, sliced up some Green Olives, Mezzetta Deli Sliced Jalapeno Peppers, Hormel Turkey Chili with Beans, a few shakes (or more) of Frank’s Red Hot Sauce, and Sargento Reduced Fat Mozzarella. Put all that together and it’s nothing but good Nachos! I especially love the Jalapenos, nice mild heat!

To prepare I preheated the oven at 400 degrees and sprayed a glass baking dish with Pam and layer everything in. I first opened up 2 cans of the Hormel Chili with Beans and heated them up in a saucepan, as it was heating I added about 6 shakes of Frank’s Hot Sauce to it and mixed. After the Chili was ready I added 4 tablespoons of Chili to the baking dish, then I added my Scoops (Chips). I then added the Sliced Black Olives and Sliced Green Olives, the remainder of the Chili, Sliced Jalapeno Peppers (Love These), and then top everything with the Cheese. Then just pop it in the oven for 10 minutes or until the Cheese has started to melt and everything is heated. We love Nachos, nothing better than a big plate of Chili Cheese Nachos! For Dessert/Snack a 100 Calorie Mini Bag of Snyder’s Pretzels with a Diet Kiwi/Strawberry Snapple.

Hormel Turkey w/Beans 98% Fat Free Chili
* Since 1891

Directions:
* Stove top: empty chili into saucepan. Stir occasionally while heating over medium heat, about 5 minutes or until hot. Microwave: empty chili into microwaveable bowl; cover loosely. Heat for 2 To 3 minutes or until hot, stirring once. Careful. Let chili stand in microwave 1 minute and stir before serving. All microwaves And stoves vary. Times given are approximate.

Ground Pork Burger and Baked Fries

Today’s Menu: Ground Pork Burger and Baked Fries

For Breakfast I had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. 72 degrees and sunny out today. I had to have Mom to her hearing aid doctor appointment at 12:00. She had to find a new hearing aid place. Her old one was no longer in business. These will be so much better for her. Back home watered all the plants and swept the deck off. For Dinner tonight I prepared a Ground Pork Burger and Baked Fries.

I had bought a package of Ground Pork at Meijer. I opened the package up and made it into 4 Patties. I froze 3 of them and kept one out for my Dinner Tonight. I love Ground Pork, it has such good flavor and fries up perfectly!

After 3 minutes flip the burgers. Continued cooking for 4 minutes more. Flip one more time and cook for another 2 minutes or until cooked through. If you’re adding on Cheese go ahead and do so with about a minute before removing them from the pan. I’m using Boar’s Head Asiago Cheese. When cooking Pork Burgers, you want to make sure that they are cooked all the way through. Which means taking them to 160 degrees internally. I served the Burgers on Aunt Millie’s Live Carb Smart Hamburger Buns. The Burgers were topped with a slice of Sargento Reduced Fat Pepper Jack Cheese and Hellman’s Organic Spicy Chipotle Mayonnaise. Then served on a Pepperidge Onion with Poppy Seeds Hamburger Bun. The Pepperidge Buns I’m using are a bit more calories or carbs than what I normally use but well worth it! These are so soft and fresh! The Burger came out mouth watering delicious! Excellent Pepper Jack Cheese also!

To go with the Burger I I also baked some Ore Ida Crinkle Cut Fries, served with a side of Hunt’s Ketchup for dipping. For Dessert/Snack later I had a few slices of Cracker Barrel Super Sharp Cheese and some Ritz Whole Wheat Crackers. For Dessert/Snack later a 100 Calorie Mini Bag of Snyder’s Pretzels with a Diet Peach Snapple to drink.

Ground Pork…….
Vitamins B6 and B12, are found abundantly in pork, are essential for blood cell formation and brain function. Pork is also an excellent source of iron — the heme-iron found in red meats is absorbed very easily by the human digestive system.

Pork. Lean pork is every bit as good for your body as lean beef and chicken. In one study, substituting lean pork for beef and chicken led to less body fat and better heart health. For a spicy take, try ancho-rubbed pork tenderloin.

Ore Ida Golden Crinkles®

French fries with ridges.
We’re proud to say that our Golden Crinkles® are America’s favorite fries!* What’s not to love? These oh-so-tasty crinkle cut fries are just plain fun, especially when they’re paired with a juicy hamburger or hot dog and dipped in Heinz® Ketchup

Today’s Menu: Turkey and Black Bean Tacos

To start the day off I had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Another cold and windy day! 40 degrees but the winds had a wind chill of around 34 degrees. After my Tea I headed to Kroger for a couple of items and a few for a neighbor. On the way back I stopped and picked up Breakfast for Mom. The high cost of groceries grows it seems every time I go, along with gas prices. Not a lot going on today. Mom wanted one of her favorites for Dinner so I prepared Turkey and Black Bean Tacos.

Today’s Menu: Turkey Frank Cincinnati Style Cheese Coneys

For Breakfast this morning I had my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. 59 degrees and sunny out today. After my Tea I headed to Walmart for a few items. I guess I’m going to have to go to Walmart more often. They seem to have the best prices by far. I’ll just get my Meats at Meijer. Things are just so expensive. I feel sorry for large families trying to make it. I stopped and picked up Breakfast for Mom at McDonald’s. Back home I did a load of laundry. A friend of mine here in the neighborhood has been setting baited cages out to catch skunks and opossums. So far we have relocated 1 skunk and 2 opossums. There is a good size forest area down the road and we are releasing them there. Anyway, I got a little yard work done.

For Dessert/Snack later a 100 Calorie Mini Bag of Snyder’s Pretzels with a Diet Peach Snapple to drink.

Today’s Menu: Turkey Frank Cincinnati Style Cheese Coneys

For Breakfast this morning I had my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. 68 degrees and heavy rain on and off all day. Did a load of laundry after Lunch. Then later made a delivery order from Walmart, of course they were out of 2 or 3 items. Did a few things around the house.

For Dessert/Snack later a 100 Calorie Mini Bag of Snyder’s Pretzels with a Diet Peach Snapple to drink.
