Today’s Menu: Sweet Italian Turkey Sausage w/ Baked Fries

 

 

For Breakfast this morning I toasted a Thomas Light English Muffin that I topped with Smucker’s Sugar Free Blackberry Jam and I had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Same weather out today, 92 degrees and humid out. I spent the day inside due to a high mold and pollen count out. Both high like that and my head explodes if I’m outside any amount of time. I spent most of the day packaging things up in the spare room. I’m having a wood floor put down in it. And the room is full of stuff! They won’t be putting it in till late July but I’ll need every day to get it ready. For Dinner tonight it’s Sweet Italian Turkey Sausage w/ Baked Fries.

 

I used one of my favorites, the healthy and delicious Jennie O Lean Sweet Italian Turkey Sausages. I bought a package of them at Meijer the other day.  I prepared a few of them for our Dinner tonight. I pan fried them, using Pam w/ Olive Oil Cooking Spray and no oil needed. Heated the pan on medium and cooked a total of about 17 minutes, turning the Sausages occasionally. They fry up plump and brown, as always Jennie – O Products always have that fresh taste to them. The Sausages have 160 calories and 0 carbs per Sausage. I served them on Aunt Millie’s Live Carb Smart Hot Dog Buns and topped with French’s Spicy Brown Mustard. Love these!

 

I also baked some Ore Ida Crinkle Cut Fries. Served them with a side of Hunt’s Ketchup for dipping. For Dessert later a Jello Sugar Free Dark Cherry Jello.

Cooking Instructions:
GRILL METHOD:
* Spray grill rack with nonstick cooking spray.
* Preheat grill over medium-high heat.

* Always cook to well done, 165 °F. as measured by a meat thermometer.

STOVE TOP METHOD:
* Spray skillet with nonstick cooking spray.
* Preheat skillet over medium-high heat.
* Place dinner sausage in hot skillet.
* Cook covered, turning occasionally, 17 – 19 minutes.
* Always cook to well-done, 165º F. as measured by a meat thermometer.
* Always cook to an internal temperature of 165°F.

Today’s Menu: Flame Grilled Original Bratwurst w/ Green Onion Potato Chips

 

 

To start my morning off I made a Fried Egg Sunnyside Up, 3 Bacon Strips, heated up the leftover Potato Pancakes and had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. I was very hungry this morning! 89 degrees mostly sunny and humid out today. I took an elderly neighbor to a local Meijer to get her 2nd COVID Shot. Back home I took Mom’s Car to the Car Wash and vacuumed it out. Cleaned up around the house. A little too humid to do a lot outside. Not complaining though, beats cold and snow! For Dinner tonight  Flame Grilled Original Bratwurst w/ Green Onion Potato Chips.

 

I came across the Johnsonville Flame Grilled Original Bratwurst at Meijer on my last visit. I also bought a package of Johnsonville Flame Grilled Italian Sausages. I’ve been looking for different items to have for Dinner. Coming up with different things for Dinner is a problem everyone seems to be having of late. So I thought I would give these a try. They come fresh in a package, 8 to a package. They are Pre-Grilled so all you have to do is heat them up. I pan heated mine.

 

To prepare them I started by spraying a skillet with Pam Cooking Spray. Added the Sausage. Cook over medium heat until browned, about 5 minutes, turning links often. I then reduced the heat to medium-low and added 3 tablespoons of water to the skillet. Cover and steam for 5 minutes until heated through. For additional browning you can remove the cover and allow any remaining water to boil off. Then continue heating the links, turning frequently, until desired color is achieved. Done!

 

This is one delicious Bratwurst from Johnsonville. Turned out plump and delicious. Served them on Aunt Millie’s Live Carb Smart Hot Dog Buns, only 2 net carbs per Bun! Topped them with Emeril’s New York Deli Style Mustard. For a side we had some Mike Sell’s Green Onion Potato Chips, love these! For Dessert later a Jello Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Pudding topped with Cool Whip Free.

Today’s Menu: Grilled Hardwood Smoked Turkey Sausage w/ Reduced Fat Potato Chips

 

To start the day off I prepared a Potatoes and Ham Breakfast Skillet. I used 1 package of Simply Potatoes Steakhouse Seasoned Diced Potatoes and a package of Meijer Diced Ham. Just cooked the Potatoes according to the package instructions and with about 5 minutes of cooking time left add the Diced Ham. I topped it with Sargento Off the Block Shredded Cheddar Cheese. I also had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. 72 degrees and cloudy out. More rain moving in overnight. After Breakfast I got the cart out of the shed and planted Mom’s flowers she had purchased. Did a few other things around the yard. For Dinner tonight I prepared a Grilled Hardwood Smoked Turkey Sausage w/ Reduced Fat Potato Chips.

 

It was so beautiful out I just had to fire the grill up! I decided to grill up some Butterball Hardwood Smoked Turkey Sausage. These are delicious no matter how you prepare them! There’s 2 Sausages per package. I cut the Sausages in half so I’ll have 4 of them I grilled. So I Heated up the grill for about 5 minutes and added the Sausages. I kept turning them so not to burn them. Cooked until heated through and served. Why do things taste better when grilled! Served them on a Aunt Millie’s Live Carb Smart Hot Dog Buns and topped them with Emeril’s New York Deli Style Mustard. I’m using the new Aunt Millie’s Live Carb Smart Hot Dog Buns. Thank you Aunt Millie for these! The Buns are 45 calories and only 2 net carbs per bun! Only 2 net carbs! If you have Diabetes, or Diabetes 2 like myself, these Buns are perfect. Aunt Millie’s also has Hamburger Buns and Dinner Rolls that are low calorie and carb. Can’t wait to try these.

 

To go with the Grilled Sausages we had Mike Sell’s Reduced Fat Potato Chips. For Dessert/Snack later a 100 Calorie Mini Bag of Snyder’s Pretzels with a Coke Zero to drink. Take Care and Stay Safe Everyone!
