Today’s Menu: Grilled Bratwursts and Mettwursts w/ Baked Fries

To start this morning off I prepared a Poached Egg and served it on a toasted Thomas Light 100% Multi Grain English Muffin. I also heated up a couple of Johnsonville Turkey Breakfast Sausage Links had my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Mostly cloudy and 74 degrees out today. Got the cart out of the shed and did some yard work and I planted 4 Tomato Plants that I had bought Mom yesterday. We have a nice little mini garden going. Tomato Plants, a Rosemary plant, a couple of Parsley plants, 2 Bell Pepper plants, a Thai Pepper Plant, a Jalapeno Plant, and 4 Strawberry plants. For Dinner tonight I fired the Grill back up. Tonight its Grilled Bratwursts and Mettwursts w/ Baked Fries.

I bought another package of the Blue Grass Brats and Mettwursts from Jungle Jim’s the other day. There’s 6 Sausages that come in the package, 3 Brats and 3 Mettwursts. I greased the grill grates and fired the grill up! So glad we finally got another grill! I prepared all 6 of the Brats and Metts, we’ll have the leftovers for a couple of Lunches. We served the Sausages on Aunt Millie’s Light Whole Grain Hot Dog Buns and topped them with French’s Spicy Brown Mustard. Nothing like Grilling! They also had the Blue Grass Lean Mettwursts. These are 70 less calories than the normal Mett, bought 4 packages of those and have them in the freezer.

I also prepared some Ore Ida Golden Crinkle Cut French Fries. Like all the Ore Ida Products, they are easy to prepare and delicious. I just baked them for 19 minutes and done! Served them with a side of Hunt’s Ketchup. For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn with Sugar Free Sprite to drink.

To start this Wednesday morning off I prepared a Poached Egg and served it on a toasted Thomas Light 100% Multi Grain English Muffin. I also had my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Partly cloudy and 84 degrees out today. I had to have Mom back at the Dermatologist at 10:00. Her face is slowly healing up from the cream to take of the precancer places on her cheeks. Afterward we stopped at McDonald’s and picked up Breakfast for her. Afterward I went back out and stopped by the ATM then went to Home Depot. I needed a couple of bags of Black Wood Chips and a bag of Potted Soil. For Dinner tonight I fired the Grill back up. Tonight its Grilled Bratwursts and Mettwursts w/ Baked Fries.

Today’s Menu: Smoked Turkey Sausage Dogs w/ Baked Fries

For Breakfast this morning I Poached an Egg, toasted 2 slices of Aunt Millie’s light Whole Grain Bread, and had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Outside its cloudy and a high of 81 degrees. After Breakfast I went to the Walmart Garden Center, looking for a grill. Then to Kroger and picked up a couple of items and then stopped by McDonald’s and picked up Breakfast for Mom. After Lunch got the cart out of the shed and finished up some yard work. Anyway for Dinner tonight its a Smoked Turkey Sausage Dogs w/ Baked Fries.

I used the Butterball Hardwood Smoked Turkey Sausage. I cut the Sausage Links into Bun length pieces. I absolutely love the Butterball Hardwood Smoked Turkey Sausage and I had been wanting some for a while. It’s got such a fantastic flavor and always cooks up just right. To prepare them I used a large skillet, added about a 1/2 tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and preheated it on medium heat. Put the Sausage in the skillet when it was heated up and covered with a lid. I turned the Sausage every few minutes to get an even char on them, cooked about 11 minutes total. As always they came out just bursting with flavor and flat-out delicious! I served it on a Aunt Millie’s Reduced Calorie Whole Grain Hot Dog Bun and topped with French’s Spicy Brown Mustard. I love these Smoked Sausages.

To go with the Sausage Dog I baked up some Alexia Organic Yukon Select Fries. Seasoned them with Morton’s Lite salt and Ground Black Pepper. Baked them at 425 degrees for 16 minutes. They bake up beautifully and seasoned just right.! Plus they are only 120 calories and 15 net carbs. Served with a side of my favorite Ketchup, Hunt’s Ketchup. For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn with a Coke Zero to drink.

Today’s Menu: Smoked Turkey Sausage Dogs w/ Baked Fries

For Breakfast this morning I had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. 20 degrees this morning with frost. 38 degrees and mostly cloudy for the day. I had to be at the Doctor’s Office at 8:30 this morning. Time for my 6 month exam at my Oncologist. He gave a Physical check along with blood work. Everything looked to be normal! It seems a lifetime ago since I had Melanoma Cancer but I guess it will always be in the back of mind the fight I had with it. I’ve come a long way, Caner Free since June or July of 2004! I used to have scans and x-rays one a year but I’ve been cleared to just 2 Physicals a year and 1 visit a year to the Dermatologist. But I’ll always stay alert to any skin changes. Anyway for Dinner tonight its a Smoked Turkey Sausage Dogs w/ Baked Fries.

For Breakfast this morning I had a Poached Egg and I served it on a Thomas Light 100 Calorie Multi Grain Bun. I also had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. 31 degrees this morning with frost. 55 degrees and mostly cloudy for the day. Mom is feeling better but still congested. So far I’m still flu free. Cleaned the house today, dusted and ran the sweeper. Then later I got my cart out of the shed and raked leaves in the back yard. So for Dinner tonight I prepared Smoked Turkey Sausage Dogs w/ Baked Fries.

Today’s Menu: Smoked Turkey Sausage Dogs w/ Baked Fries

For Breakfast this morning I lightly fried a couple of al fresco Country Style Chicken Sausage Breakfast Patties. I love these, they’re fully cooked so they fry up in 6 to 8 minutes per side. One of the best Breakfast Patties I’ve found. Great seasoning and the perfect size for Breakfast Sandwiches. So I made me and Mom a couple of Breakfast Sandwiches. I also added a 1/2 a slice of Boar’s Head Vermont Cheddar to the Sandwich. What a change in weather around here. I was using my walker last night to go into another room and my leg completely went out on me and fell. I cut my knee up pretty bad and bruised both arms and the tail bone. I was lucky I didn’t get hurt worse. Real sore this morning though. We had a high of 69 degrees today. But humid and real heavy rain. They say we’ll end up with 6″ inches of rain. There will be a lot of flooded areas if we get that much. So not much to do out in the rain. Stayed in and cleaned the house today, dusted and vacuumed. Watched some College Football late afternoon. So for Dinner tonight I prepared Smoked Turkey Sausage Dogs w/ Baked Fries.

As usual I used the Butterball Hardwood Smoked Turkey Sausage. I cut the Sausage Links into Bun length pieces. I absolutely love the Butterball Hardwood Smoked Turkey Sausage. Today’s Menu: Grilled Cheese and Baked Fries

I just had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea for Breakfast this morning. I had to have Mom at the Eye Doctor at 9:00. They had to check Mom’s right eye that had the cataract removed, everything looked great! She has the left one done next week. 82 degrees, humid, and thunderstorms outside today. Cleaned the house today, ran the vacuum and dusted. I bought a couple of Sweet Pepper plants and both are loaded with small Peppers coming in. Also have Sweet Basil, Chives, and Rosemary growing. For Dinner Tonight I’m having a Grilled Cheese and Baked Fries.

Not feeling real good this afternoon. I had a Dinner in mind but I’m keeping it simple tonight, I prepared a Grilled Cheese and Baked Fries. To make my Grilled Cheese I’ll be using; Kraft Sliced Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Blue Bonnet Light Butter, and Aunt Millie’s Light Whole Grain Bread. I started by buttering the outside half of a slice of bread. Layered 2 slices of the Sharp Cheddar on top. Added my top half of the sliced bread, buttering the outside of the slice. I then got out a skillet, heated it up on medium heat and lightly coated it with a 1/2 pat of Butter. When the Butter was melted I added my sandwich. Grilled it on both sides until it was golden brown and the Cheese melted. Oh, nothing like a good and toasty Grilled Cheese sometimes!

To go with the Grilled Cheese I baked up some Alexia Organic Yukon Select Fries.

For Breakfast this morning I lightly fried a couple of al fresco Country Style Chicken Sausage Breakfast Patties – With a hint of Sage and Thyme. Great seasoning and the perfect size for my Healthy Life Whole Grain English Muffins. So I made me and Mom a couple of Breakfast Sandwiches. I also added a 1/2 a slice of Boar’s Head Vermont Cheddar to the Sandwich. So Mom had a couple of errands to run and I had to do a few things around the house. I had the wooden deck repaired a while back and my neighbor came over did some touch up painting for me this afternoon. It’s another hot and humid day out again, 99 degrees. Later on I went through my closet and dresser gathering up some clothes that were too small or I just didn’t wear anymore. I then took them to the local Goodwill Store. I also gave them Dad’s old clothes and some things that my Mom had gathered up also. So for Dinner tonight I prepared Smoked Turkey Sausage Dogs w/ Baked Fries.

I used the Butterball Hardwood Smoked Turkey Sausage. I cut the Sausage Links into Bun length pieces. I absolutely love the Butterball Hardwood Smoked Turkey Sausage. Crab Cake Slider w/ Baked Fries

Today’s Menu: Crab Cake Slider w/ Baked Fries

For Breakfast on this Sunday Morning I Poached an Egg and served it on a Healthy Life Whole Grain English Muffin. Also had that Morning Cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Mom went on to Church and I stayed home keeping an eye on Dad. Did some light house cleaning, swept the wooden deck off outside, and did a load of laundry for Mom. After Lunch went over to a friend of mine to catch up, hadn’t seen him in a while. Sunny and 50 degrees outside today. Mom already has flowers coming up in the front. I’ll be glad to see the Spring here! So for dinner tonight it’s Crab Cake Slider w/ Baked Fries.

I’m using Kroger Private Selection Maryland Style Crab Cakes, my favorite! They come frozen and there’s 2 to a box. To prepare them just preheat the oven on 400 degrees and bake for 30 minutes. Nothing beats a fresh made Crab Cake, but these are too good to be frozen! They’re just the right size, about 3.5 ounces each, and full of flavor. Baked them for about 30 minutes and they were done. Topped them with Louisiana Remoulade Dressing and served then on a Pepperidge Farm Sweet and Soft Slider Bun. This makes one delicious Slider! The taste of the Crab Meat and Remoulade Sauce is perfect together! If you want one flavorful Remoulade Sauce you have to try the LOUISIANA Remoulade Dressing. This sauce is incredible and is good on about anything you put it on!

I had already preheated the oven, so as the griddle was heating I baked my Fries, I’m using Alexia Organic Yukon Select Fries. Seasoned them with McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Black Peppercorn Medley. Baked them at 425 degrees for 16 minutes. They bake up beautifully and seasoned just right, excellent Shoestring Fry! Plus they are only 120 calories and 15 net carbs. It’s an easy prepared but hot and filling meal. For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn and a Diet Peach Snapple to drink.

Today’s Menu: Crab Cake Slider w/ Baked Fries

Started my morning off with 2 slices of toasted Aunt Millie’s Light Whole Grain Bread (lightly buttered), 1 medium egg (sunny side up), 2 Jennie – O Turkey Breakfast Sausage Links, and my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. After Breakfast I went to the local Kroger up the road, needed a few items. Stopped by the ATM and got gas before heading back. Rain early then mostly cloudy and 53 degrees out. A friend of mine called and asked if I could pick them up at the Dayton Airport, picked them up at 2:30 this afternoon. Back home not a lot going on.

Served then on a Pepperidge Farm Wheat Slider Buns. Topped them with Louisiana Remoulade Dressing. This makes one delicious Slider! The taste of the Crab Meat and Remoulade Sauce is perfect together! If you want one flavorful Remoulade Sauce you have to try the LOUISIANA Remoulade Dressing. This sauce is incredible and is good on about anything you put it on!

Then I also Baked some Ore Ida Crinkle Fries, with a side of Hunt’s Ketchup for dipping. For dessert later a Weight Watcher’s Cookies and Cream Ice Cream Bar.
