Today’s Menu: Skyline 3 Way – Chili, Spaghetti, Cheese w/ Side of Oyster Crackers

 

 

To start my day off I Scrambled a couple of Eggs, topped it with Sargento Reduced Fat Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese, toasted a Healthy Life Whole Grain English Muffin, and had my morning cup of Decaf Green Tea. Beautiful outside, sunny and 801 degrees but very windy. Long day today. I had to take Mom to 3 different places to get needed paper work for my Dad’s Medicaid started. It’s a lot of work to get it approved. Then about 1:00 this afternoon the center where Dad is at called and asked if we could come over. He was yelling and ranting out of control. We finally got him settled down. Really didn’t feel like cooking after all that so I prepared some Skyline 3 Way – Chili, Spaghetti, Cheese w/ Side of Oyster Crackers.

 

I wanted a hot good meal without a lot of effort, plus I’m always in the mood for some Skyline 3 Way – Chili, Spaghetti, Cheese w/ Side of Oyster Crackers. Nothing says comfort food more than a Skyline 3 Way! As always I used my favorite, the Skyline 3 Way – Chili, Spaghetti. It comes packaged for the microwave, a bit smaller size than what you get at a Skyline but just right for those still watching calories and carbs. It comes with Spaghetti topped with Skyline Chili. To prepare it, it couldn’t be easier!

 

 

It now comes in a microwavable pouch instead of microwavable bowl. Easily prepared – Just shake the pouch. Then tear the corner off to vent while cooking. Place the pouch standing upright in the microwave. Then microwave on high for 2 1/2 minutes. Let stand for 1 minute and it’s ready!

 

 

 

 

Poured the Chili into a bowl, added a couple of shakes of Fran’s Hot Sauce, topped it with Sargento Reduced Fa Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese. I also had a side of Skyline Oyster Crackers. And if you’re having Oyster Crackers, then Frank’s Red Hot Sauce is a must! Just add a few drops on top of the Crackers, it’s the local way to have your Oyster Crackers. For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn and a Diet Peach Snapple to drink.

Today’s Menu: Egg Sandwich and Hash Browns

 

 


For Breakfast this morning I toasted a Healthy Life Whole Grain English Muffin that I topped with some Smucker’s Sugar Free Blackberry Jam. Also had my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Mostly sunny and 45 degrees for a high outside today. After Breakfast I went to Meijer for a few items. On the way back I stopped by the ATM and stopped and got gas. Back home I was all caught up on everything. Did some work on the computer for a while. For Dinner tonight it’s an Egg Sandwich and Hash Browns.

 

 


I love Egg Sandwiches! hadn’t made these in years until a while back and enjoyed it so much I’m going to have it more often. To make it all I’ll need is 2 Eggs, Salt and Pepper, a slice of Kraft Sharp Cheddar, a bit of Blue Bonnet Light Butter, and 2 slices of Aunt Millie’s Light Whole Grain Bread. Just get a mixing cup or coffee cup and crack open both Eggs into it. Season it with the Salt and Pepper and whisk it all together.

 

 

 


I heated a small skillet on medium heat, I sprayed it with Pam Cooking Spray. I added the Butter, and when heated added the Egg Mixture. Fry it till the bottom browns and flip it. I then added my slice of Kraft Deluxe Sharp Cheddar Cheese on top of it. Cook until done, and it’s ready! You can toast the Bread if you like, I didn’t toast mine.

 

 

 

 

Simply Potatoes Hash Browns

To go with my Egg Sandwich I prepared some Simply Potatoes Shredded Hash Browns, which I love having any meal. Seasoned them with Salt and Pepper and served them sprinkled with Sargento Reduced Fat Shredded Sharp Cheddar. For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn and a Diet Dr. Pepper to drink.

For Breakfast this morning I had a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios. Also had my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Had a sleepless night dealing with those Phantom Pains! These are so aggravating. They hurt so bad and not a thing you can do! Outside we got a little over an inch of new snow and 16 degrees. We had a high of 30 degrees and more snow this afternoon. Can’t do anything outside so I tried catching up on some sleep after the Phantom Pains stopped around noon. For Dinner tonight it’s an Egg Sandwich and Hash Browns.

I had a Dinner planned out but due to a Family Emergency I had to go with something quick and easy. My Dad fell last night around 8:30 and we were at the Hospital until 2:00 this morning. He’s doing fine and they sent him back home with us. The time I finally got to bed was around 4:00 this morning. So something quick and easy was Dinner tonight. I prepared a can of Hormel Turkey Chili w/Beans. Topped it with some Sargento Reduced Calorie Shredded Sharp Cheddar and a side of Oyster Crackers. See everyone tomorrow, take care!

For Breakfast this Sunday morning I prepared some Simply Potatoes Hash Browns. fried up 3 slices of Simple Truth Canadian Bacon, toasted 2 slices of Aunt Millies Light Whole Grain Bread (Lightly Buttered), and had my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. In the 40’s this morning and 74 degrees and mostly sunny for the day. Cleaned the house today, did a load of laundry, and after Lunch cleaned up the deck and driveway areas. It’s a beautiful Fall Day for sure out there! Still a little sore from the tumble I took the other night but feeling a lot better than yesterday. For Dinner tonight I made a Fried Egg Sandwich along with some Hash Browns.

 

I made this just last week and thought I would have it again, Egg Sandwich and Hash Browns. ! So I made an Egg Sandwich. I hadn’t made these in years until last week and enjoyed it so much I’m going to have it more often. Today’s Menu: Egg Sandwich and Hash Browns

 

 

Just had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea for Breakfast this morning. Didn’t get a lot of sleep again due to the Sinus Infection. My left ear started swelling up so I had to go back to the Family Doctor. I have infected inner ear, and it is extremely painful! They have me on 3 prescriptions and if it swells anymore I have to go to the hospital for treatment, trying to avoid that! It does feel somewhat better and the swelling isn’t quite as bad. I still have very limited hearing in my right ear though. I go back to the Doctor’s on Monday to see if I need further work done on it at the hospital. For Dinner tonight I made a Fried Egg Sandwich along with some Hash Browns.

Back home, I wanted an easy prepared meal so tonight its a Skyline 3 Way – Chili, Spaghetti, Cheese w/ Side of Oyster Crackers.

 

 

I’m always in the mood for some Skyline 3 Way – Chili, Spaghetti, Cheese w/ Side of Oyster Crackers. Nothing says comfort food more than a Skyline 3 Way! As always I used my favorite, the Skyline 3 Way – Chili, Spaghetti. Easily prepared – Just peel back the cover film about an 1″, to vent it. Place the tray in a dish and set the dish in the microwave.Heat on high for 1 1/2 minutes. Let stand one minute. Remove from the microwave and peel off the cover film. Stir it up and top it with the Sargento Cheese and you have the classic Three-Way! The Chili Spaghetti is 270 calories and 20 net carbs. I also had a side of Skyline Oyster Crackers. And if you’re having Oyster Crackers, then Frank’s Red Hot Sauce is a must! Just add a few drops on top of the Crackers, it’s the local way to have your Oyster Crackers. For dessert later a Jello Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Pudding.

Today’s Menu: Cheddar Chili Dogs

 

 

For Breakfast this morning I fried 2 Jennie – O Turkey Breakfast Sausage Patties, prepared a Scrambled Egg, toasted 2 slices of Aunt Millie’s Whole Bread, and my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Another sunny and beautiful day out there again! A bit warmer and more humid, but still nice out. After Breakfast I started a load of laundry and then headed out to Meijer and then by Kroger to pick up a few things for Mom. After Lunch headed up to the rehab center to see Dad. Back home finished up laundry and done for the day. Got the cart out for a spin around the neighborhood. For Dinner tonight its CHEDDAR CHILI DOGS.

 

 

I tried these for the first time around a month ago and really liked them so I’m having so I’m having them again. They’re a nice alternative to my Cincinnati Style Cheese Coneys. To make the Dogs I’ll need; 1 can (16 oz) BUSH’S® Chili Beans – Red Beans in a Medium Chili Sauce (drained), 1 tsp chili powder, 4 Ball Park Smoked Turkey Franks, 4 Aunt Millie’s Reduced Calorie Whole Grain Hot Dog Buns, French’s Yellow Mustard, 3 slices Simple Truth Hickory Smoked Bacon (crisped and coarsely chopped), and 1/4 cup Sargento Reduced Fat Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese.

 

 

To prepare them; Heat the Beans in a medium saucepan until just heated through; stir in chili powder. Next I cooked Hot Dogs. I used a medium size sauce pan, filled 3/4 full of water and heated to a boil. When water was boiling I added the Franks, boiled for 5 minutes. Removed the pan from the heat, drained the water, and prepared the Cheddar Chili Dogs. Spread each Bun with Mustard. Place a Hot Dog in each Bun and top with Beans. Sprinkle each with Bacon, Onion (optional), Tomato (optional), and Cheese. These turned out fantastic, love the Beans and Cheddar toppings.

 

 

Served it with some Ruffles Reduced Fat Potato Chips and some Lay’s Ranch Dip. Also had a Caffeine Free Diet Coke. For Dessert later a Breyer’s 100 Calorie Vanilla Cup.

 

 

 

 

 

 

BUSH’S® CHEDDAR CHILI DOGS

Chili Beans with a touch of chili powder add some heat to these Cheddar chili dogs with bacon, onion and tomato.

RECIPE DETAILS
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes
Servings: 4
INGREDIENTS
1 can (16 oz) BUSH’S® Chili Beans, drained
1 tsp chili powder (optional)
4 all-beef hot dogs
4 soft hot dog buns
2 Tbsp mustard
3 slices bacon, crisped and coarsely chopped
2 Tbsp white onion, chopped
1 small tomato, cored and chopped
1/4 cup shredded mild Cheddar cheese

DIRECTIONS
1 – Heat beans in a medium saucepan until just heated through; stir in chili powder, if desired.
2 – Cook hot dogs according to package directions.
3 – Spread each bun with mustard. Place a hot dog in each bun and top with beans. Sprinkle each with bacon, onion, tomato and cheese. Serve hot.

It was a real rough night as the pain was very bad. Just wish they could come up with a cure for Phantom Pains! Dad is doing good and feeling a lot better. Today’s Menu: Cheddar Chili Dogs

 

 

Wow, It’s the last day of June already. This month flew by! For Breakfast this morning I fried 2 Jennie – O Turkey Breakfast Sausage Links, prepared an Egg Sunnyside Up, toasted 2 slices of Aunt Millie’s Whole Bread, and my every morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. The Summer like weather has kicked in! 86 degrees and HUMID. After Breakfast I headed to Meijer for a few items and had to stop by the bank. Back home I cleaned the Kitchen, swept, mopped, cleaned the fridge, and cleaned the stove. Then kicked back for a bit and watched some shows I had recorded. For Dinner tonight I prepared CHEDDAR CHILI DOGS.

 

I have Chili and Cheese Dogs quite often but this recipe is a bit of a twist of what I normally have. I found this recipe in a recipe email from Bush’s Beans, BUSH’S® CHEDDAR CHILI DOGS. I made some changes from the original recipe, I left the original recipe and web link at the end of the post. To make the Dogs I’ll need; 1 can (16 oz) BUSH’S® Chili Beans – Red Beans in a Medium Chili Sauce (drained), 1 tsp chili powder, 4 Ball Park Smoked Turkey Franks, 4 Aunt Millie’s Reduced Calorie Whole Grain Hot Dog Buns, French’s Yellow Mustard, 3 slices Simple Truth Hickory Smoked Bacon (crisped and coarsely chopped), and 1/4 cup Sargento Reduced Fat Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese.

 

To prepare them; Heat the Beans in a medium saucepan until just heated through; stir in chili powder. Next I cooked Hot Dogs. I used a medium size sauce pan, filled 3/4 full of water and heated to a boil. When water was boiling I added the Franks, boiled for 5 minutes. Removed the pan from the heat, drained the water, and prepared the Cheddar Chili Dogs. Spread each Bun with Mustard. Place a Hot Dog in each Bun and top with Beans. Sprinkle each with Bacon, Onion (optional), Tomato (optional), and Cheese. These turned out fantastic, love the Beans and Cheddar toppings. Nice switch from my normal Chili and Cheese Coney’s.

 

Served it with some Ruffles Reduced Fat Potato Chips and some Lay’s Ranch Dip. Also had a Caffeine Free Diet Coke. For Dessert later a Weight Watcher’s Cookies and Cream Ice Cream Bar.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

BUSH’S® CHEDDAR CHILI DOGS

Chili Beans with a touch of chili powder add some heat to these Cheddar chili dogs with bacon, onion and tomato.

INGREDIENTS
1 can (16 oz) BUSH’S® Chili Beans, drained
1 tsp chili powder (optional)
4 all-beef hot dogs
4 soft hot dog buns
2 Tbsp mustard
3 slices bacon, crisped and coarsely chopped
2 Tbsp white onion, chopped
1 small tomato, cored and chopped
1/4 cup shredded mild Cheddar cheese
DIRECTIONS
1 – Heat beans in a medium saucepan until just heated through; stir in chili powder, if desired.
2 – Cook hot dogs according to package directions.
3 – Spread each bun with mustard. Place a hot dog in each bun and top with beans. Sprinkle each with bacon, onion, tomato and cheese. Serve hot.
