Turkey Taste of India Rice
This recipe takes us on an adventure to the east. With flavors of Garam Masala – a warm, aromatic Indian spice blend – ginger and garlic, we are transported to the markets and street vendors of authentic Indian Cuisine. Featuring diced turkey breast, brown rice and vegetables, this savory meal is on your table in less than 30 minutes without a stamp in your passport.

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
¼ cup onion, diced
2¼ cups reduced sodium chicken broth
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 teaspoon Garam Masala spice
¼ teaspoon ground ginger
12 ounces brown long grain rice, prepared according to package directions
1½ cups GRAND CHAMPION® Oven Roasted Turkey Breast, diced, from the service deli
½ fresh jalapeño, finely chopped, seeds removed
½ cup peas and carrots
½ cup slivered almonds

1) Heat oven to 375°F.
2) In kettle, heat oil. Add onions and cook until tender. Add broth, garlic and spices and bring to a boil.
3) In baking pan, add prepared rice, turkey, jalapeño, peas and carrots. Add broth stir and cover. Bake 30 minutes. Sprinkle with almonds.
