Today’s Menu: Turkey Tacos and Refried Beans

To start my day off I Scrambled 2 Eggs then when done I sprinkled some Sargento Shredded Sharp Cheddar and a couple of shakes of Ortega Smoky Chipotle Taco Sauce. I also toasted a couple of slices of Aunt Millie’s Light Whole Grain Bread and a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Cloudy, rain, and 70 degrees outside. Cleaned the house today, dusted and ran the sweeper. Also did laundry. For Dinner tonight I prepared Turkey Tacos and Refried Beans.

We love our Turkey Tacos, great Comfort food for us! When making Turkey Tacos I always use Jennie -O Extra Lean Ground Turkey Breast! Love all the Jennie -O Turkey Products, always fresh and low calorie and low carb. But Jennie -O Products are difficult to find in this area. Meijer is the only place that now carries it, and they have an okay selection of it. So I started by frying the Ground Turkey till it was no longer pink in Extra Light Olive Oil and seasoning it with Sea Salt, Ground Roasted Cumin, Cilantro Flakes. As the Turkey was finishing cooking I added, 1 can OF Bush’s Chili Beans – Black Beans, 1 package of Old El Paso Low Sodium Taco Seasoning and 2/3 cup Water, continued to cook and stir for an additional 6 minutes. Jennie -O, Bush’s Beans, and Old El Paso together make one fine Taco!

For the rest of my toppings I used; Sargento Reduced Fat 4 Cheese Mexican, Sliced Black Olives, Sliced Green Olives, Ortega Smoky Chipotle Taco Sauce, Sliced Jalapenos, and Shredded Lettuce. For my Taco Shells I used the Old El Paso Stand N’ Stuff Taco Shells (Whole Grain Corn). Add the Jennie – O Turkey and you got you some mouth watering and delicious Tacos! Love these Taco Nights. I also heated up a can of Old El Paso Fat Free Refried Beans for a side for Mom. For Dessert later a bowl of Del Monte Peaches.

Today’s Menu: Turkey Tacos and Refried Beans

To start my day off I had a Jimmy Dean Simple Scramble Cup – Crumbled Turkey Sausage, Egg White, Cheddar Cheese. Another cold day out there, 13 this morning and a high of 25 degrees. After Breakfast I went to McDonald’s to pick up Breakfast for Mom. I was sort of slow today my Sinuses are really bothering me today, very bad headaches. Lot of rest and that was about it. I have to fast tonight until I go to the Family Doctor in the morning for my Blood Sugar, Cholesterol, etc. For Dinner tonight I prepared Turkey Tacos and Refried Beans.

Today’s Menu: Turkey Tacos and Refried Beans

For Breakfast this morning I Scrambled a Couple of Eggs, toasted a couple of slices of Aunt Millie’s Light Whole Grain Bread, and had my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Cloudy and 54 degrees, rain moved in toward evening. I was out a couple of items for tonight’s Dinner so I went to Meijer and picked them up. Stopped by the Post Office, ATM, and McDonald’s to pick up Breakfast for Mom before heading home. Got the leaf blower out and cleaned off the deck and driveway areas. Then it was taking down and storing the Christmas Decorations. For Dinner tonight it’s Turkey Tacos and Refried Beans.

Today’s Menu: Turkey Tacos and Refried Beans

Just a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea for Breakfast this morning. I headed out this morning to Jungle Jim’s International Market. They finally got some 1/2 Runner Green Beans in. We bought enough to can 14 jars! The Beans were some of the fullest and biggest Green Beans we had found in quite some time. So back home I gave Mom a hand in getting the first 7 quarts ready and made. We’ll do the rest tomorrow. Mom loves Beets, I can’t stand them, so she’s going back to Jungle Jim’s tomorrow to get Beets to can. My leg seems to be doing better it’s not as red and the spot is somewhat smaller. Hopefully it’s just an infection. For Dinner tonight it’s Turkey Tacos.

Making it an official Taco Tuesday here at the house! We love our Turkey Tacos, great Comfort food for us! When making Turkey Tacos I always use Jennie -O Extra Lean Ground Turkey Breast! For toppings I used; Sargento Reduced Fat 4 Cheese Mexican, Sliced Black Olives, Sliced Green Olives, Ortega Smoky Chipotle Taco Sauce, Sliced Jalapenos, and Shredded Lettuce. For my Taco Shells I used the Old El Paso Stand N’ Stuff Taco Shells (Whole Grain Corn). Add the Jennie – O Turkey and you got you some mouth watering and delicious Tacos! Love these Taco Nights. I also heated up a can of Old El Paso Fat Free Refried Beans for a side for Mom and Dad. We made a big plate of it for Dad and took it it to the Center for him. For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn and a Diet Peach Snapple.

Today’s Menu: Turkey Tacos and Refried Beans

To start my morning off I Scrambled a couple of Eggs, toasted a couple of slices of Aunt Millie’s Light Whole Grain Bread, and a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Wow, we have had so much rain , and more coming! Today we had a high of 60 and dry in the morning but rain moving in for the evening. Anyway after Breakfast I went grocery shopping at Meijer. It’s getting tougher and tougher to keep your grocery bill down, stuff just keeps going up! Really have to do some smart shopping and coupons. On the way back in I stopped and picked up Breakfast for Mom at McDonald’s. Dad seems to be adjusting to his new home at the assisted living center. Still wish he was home with us. But as they say “Life goes on”, and we will but its tough. For Dinner tonight, It’s a Taco Night! I prepared Turkey Tacos and a side of Refried Beans.

We had Tacos last week and they were so good, we’re having them again. When making Turkey Tacos I love using Jennie -O Ground Turkey Breast! Love all the Jennie -O Turkey Products, always fresh and low calorie and low carb. I started by frying the Ground Turkey till it was no longer pink in Extra Light Olive Oil and seasoning it with Sea Salt, Ground Roasted Cumin, Cilantro Flakes. As the Turkey was finishing cooking I added, 1 can OF Bush’s Chili Beans – Black Beans, 1 package of Old El Paso Low Sodium Taco Seasoning and 2/3 cup Water, continued to cook and stir for an additional 6 minutes. Jennie -O and Old El Paso together make one fine Taco!

Today’s Menu: Turkey Tacos and Refried Beans

To start today off I toasted a Healthy Life Whole Grain English Muffin and topped it with a swipe of Jif Reduced Fat Peanut Butter and Smucker’s Sugarless Blackberry Jam. A little PB and J to start my morning. Also had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Mostly cloudy and 43 degrees. A lot nicer than yesterday! After Breakfast I had to go to the local Kroger for just a couple of items. I then stopped by McDonald’s to pick up Breakfast for Mom and Dad. Finished up some house cleaning and then swept off the ramp and driveway area. For Dinner Tonight it’s Tacos, Turkey Tacos and Refried Bean.
