Buffalo Turkey Tacos
Recipe for Buffalo Turkey Tacos from our Main Dishes recipe section.

Ingredients

1 (16-ounce) package JENNIE-O Lean Ground Turkey
1/3 cup hot pepper wing sauce
8 hard corn taco shells, heated as specified on package
1 cup shredded lettuce
2 tomatoes, diced
1 avocado, sliced
1/2 cup blue cheese dressing

Directions

1 – Cook turkey as specified on package. Always cook to well-done, 165F as measured by a meat thermometer.
2 – Add hot pepper sauce. Stir to combine.
3 – Fill tacos shells with lettuce, turkey mixture, tomatoes and avocado.
4 – Drizzle with blue cheese dressing.

Carne Asada Marinated Buffalo Steak Strip Tacos

Today’s Menu: Carne Asada Marinated Buffalo Steak Strip Tacos

 

For Breakfast I fried up some Double Smoked Bacon and some Simply Potatoes Southwest Style Shredded Hash Browns. I also had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. 54 degrees, cloudy and very windy out today. We had a high of 54 and it dropped from there throughout the day. Did some laundry and had the computer tuned up. I had it tuned up by Geek Squad. It runs so much quicker now. For Dinner tonight I prepared Carne Asada Marinated Buffalo Steak Strip Tacos.

 

For the Buffalo I used Wild Idea Premium Steak Strips. To prepare them; I first Rinsed the Wild Idea Bison Steak Strips and pat them dry. I then added a light amount of Extra Light Olive Oil to them, making sure the Strips were completely covered on all sides. Then I seasoned them with Wild Idea Buffalo Omnivore Salt. The Omnivore Salt is a blend of Natural Sea Salt and Organic Spices. Then I grabbed a small Hefty Storage Bag and added some Kroger Private Selection Mexican Inspired Carne Asada Marinade. Then added the Buffalo Steak Strips and let the Steak Strips Marinate in the fridge until it was time to prepare them.

 

Next I got a Cast Iron Skillet and added 1 tablespoon of the Cooking Olive Oil, heated the Skillet on Medium High Heat. I got the bag out of the fridge and shook off the excess Marinade and placed the Strips on a plate to drain. Then over Medium High heat, I cooked the Bison Strips for about 4 minutes, tossing to turn occasionally. Oh the aroma when this is cooking up, it just fills the kitchen! I removed the Strips from the skillet into a bowl. These Steak Strips are so tender and delicious! Plus the Carne Asada Marinade gives it one incredible flavor! Love these Wild Idea Buffalo Premium Steak Strips.

 

Along with the Steak Strips I added La Preferdia Mild Jalapeno Slices, Olives (Black and Green), Lettuce Blend, fresh Shredded Dutch Gouda and all served in a La Banderita Carb Counter Tortillas. These are some of the freshest Tortillas you can find and they are only 35 calories and 3 net carbs per Tortilla. Add all this together and you have some mighty tasty Tacos.

 

Next just build your Taco! An Easy and Delicious Meal to prepare. For Dessert later I had a Jello Sugar Free Dark Cherry Jello.

Today’s Menu: Turkey and Black Bean Tacos

 

 

To start the day off I had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. We had a high of 71 degrees with rain showers in the morning and heavy rain moving in overnight. This morning I took Mom to Jungle Jim’s International Market. She wanted to get some Half- Runner Green Beans, Peppers, and some Apples. I picked up a few other items. I love that store! They had a few of the Boar’s Head Meats on sale and in the Seafood Dept. they had Orange Roughy on sale. There is so much to see in that store! It’s Taco Tuesday here! For Dinner tonight I prepared Turkey and Black Bean Tacos.

 

When making Turkey Tacos I always use Jennie -O Ground Turkey Breast! Love all the Jennie -O Turkey Products, always fresh and low calorie and low carb. I started by frying the Ground Turkey till it was no longer pink in Extra Virgin Olive Oil and seasoning it with Sea Salt, Ground Roasted Cumin, Cilantro Flakes. As the Turkey was finishing cooking I added 1 can Bush’s Chili Black Beans, 1 package of Old El Paso Low Sodium Taco Seasoning and 3/4 cup Water, continued to cook and stir for an additional 6 minutes. Jennie -O and Old El Paso together make some fine Tacos!

 

For toppings I used; Sargento Reduced Fat 4 Cheese Mexican, Sliced Black Olives, Sliced Green Olives, Ortega Smoky Chipotle Taco Sauce (my favorite), Sliced Jalapenos, and Shredded Lettuce. For my Taco Shells I used the Old El Paso Stand N’ Stuff Taco Shells (Whole Grain Corn). Add the Turkey and you got you some mouth watering and delicious Tacos! Love these Taco Meal Nights. For Dessert/Snack later a 100 Calorie Mini Bag of Snyder’s Stick Pretzels with a Coke Zero to drink.

Buffalo Steak Strip Street Tacos

Today’s Menu: Buffalo Steak Strip Street Tacos

 

For Breakfast I had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. 93 degrees, humid and partly sunny. They say rain late, but I doubt it. I water our front lawn and all the bushes every morning. But it’s a losing battle with the grass, every one’s yard is baked and brown. I’ll be glad to see a couple of rainy days! I finished touching up the trim on the shed finally. Turned out to be more of a job than I thought. Anyway for Dinner tonight I prepared Buffalo Steak Strip Street Tacos.

 

These are so delicious, I just can’t wait to have them again! Great flavor and the Buffalo Strips would just melt in your mouth! I was going to order more from Wild Idea Buffalo but they were out of stock until this past Friday. Ordered 3 more packages and they arrived Monday! So I was saying for the Buffalo I used Wild Idea Premium Steak Strips. To prepare them; I first Rinsed the Wild Idea Bison Steak Strips and pat them dry. I then added a light amount of Extra Light Olive Oil to them, making sure the Strips were completely covered on all sides. Then I seasoned them with Wild Idea Buffalo Omnivore Salt. The Omnivore Salt is a blend of Natural Sea Salt and Organic Spices. Then I left the Strips rest. Next I got a Cast Iron Skillet and added 1 tablespoon of the Extra Light Olive Oil, heated the Skillet on Medium High Heat.

 

Over Medium High heat, I cooked the Bison Strips for about 4 minutes, tossing to turn occasionally. I removed the Strips from the skillet into a bowl. These Steak Strips are so tender and delicious! I’ve prepared these a few times now and they just keep getting better! Easily prepared also.

 

Along with the Steak Strips I added La Preferdia Mild Jalapeno Slices, Olives (Black and Green), Shredded Lettuce, Ortega Chipotle Taco Sauce, Ortega Taco Seasoning Mix (Less Sodium) and all served in a Mission Street Tacos Carb Balance Whole Wheat Tortillas. Add all this together and you have some mighty tasty Street Tacos. I love using the Mission Street Tacos Carb Balance Whole Wheat Tortillas. Always so fresh and soft. Plus they are only 70 calories and 3 net carbs per serving – 2 Tortillas. I also prepared a jar of Roasted Red Peppers.

 

Next, just build your Taco! An Easy and Delicious Meal to prepare. For Dessert later a Jello Sugar Free Dark Cherry Jello.
