Today’s Menu; Grilled Ham and Swiss on Sour Dough Bread w/ Baked Fries

For Breakfast this morning I prepared some Simply Potatoes Hash Browns along with 2 Johnsonville Turkey Breakfast Sausage Links, a fried Sunnyside Up Egg, and a toasted slice of Aunt Millie’s Light Whole Grain Bread. Also had my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Bad morning outside today. It first snowed around 2 inches or more and then turned to freezing rain for a while before turning to all rain. Made for some slippery roads around this area. Plus a lot more rain on the way they say, and more flooding. Changed the brush on the sweeper and then cleaned the house, dusted and ran the vacuum. For Dinner tonight one of my favorite Sandwiches. I prepared a Grilled Ham and Swiss on Sour Dough Bread w/ Baked Fries.

I had a 1/2 loaf of the Gold Miner Sour Dough Bread in the freezer so I sat out to thaw overnight. I love using this when making grilled sandwiches. To prepare the Sandwiches I’ll need; Boar’s Head Sweet Slice Ham, Sargento Reduced Fat Swiss Cheese, French’s Yellow Mustard, Kraft Reduced Fat Mayo w/ Olive Oil, and Goldminer California Sourdough Bread. I used the flat top Griddle to grill it with. I sprayed the griddle with a very light coat of Pam Cooking Spray and spread about 1/2 tablespoon of Blue Bonnet Light Butter on it. Heated it on medium heat. I also turned the oven on at 425 degrees, for the Fries.

While the griddle was heating I got the Sandwich ready to grill. Took a slice of the Sour Dough Bread and topped it with some of the Kraft Mayo, the Boar’s Head Ham, the Sargento Swiss, French’s Mustard, and added the top slice of the Sour Dough Bread. I then Buttered the bottom and top halves of the Bread with Blue Bonnet Butter. With the griddle heated I grilled my Sandwich. Grilled the bottom half just over 3 minutes, then flipped it over and grilled the other side about 2 1/2 minutes. Until both sides were golden brown! I love Grilled Sandwiches!

I had already preheated the oven, so as the Sandwich was finishing cooking I baked the Fries, I’m using Alexia Organic Yukon Select Fries. Seasoned them with McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Black Peppercorn Medley. Baked them at 425 degrees for 16 minutes. They bake up beautifully and seasoned just right, excellent Shoestring Fry! Plus they are only 120 calories and 15 net carbs. It’s an easy prepared but hot and filling meal. For Dessert/Snack later a few slices of a Honeycrisp Apple.

Today’s Menu; Grilled Ham and Swiss on Sour Dough Bread w/ Baked Fries

For Breakfast this morning I toasted a couple of slices of Aunt Millie’s Light Whole Grain Bread and topped them with some Smucker’s Sugarless Blackberry Jam. Also had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Outside it is one bone-chilling morning out there! We have snow flurries and its 21 degrees but with the wind chill it’s around 12 degrees. That’s a long way from our 64 degrees 2 days earlier. So not a lot going on outside today. Gave Mom a hand with laundry and cleaned the house today. For Dinner tonight its a Grilled Ham and Swiss on Sour Dough Bread w/ Baked Fries.

We hadn’t had the Gold Miner Sour Dough Bread in a while so I purchased a loaf at the local Kroger. For Dessert later a Jello Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Pudding topped with Cool Whip Free.

Today’s Menu; Grilled Ham and Swiss on Sour Dough Bread w/ Baked Fries

Just a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea to start the day off. I spent a long and sleepless night last night. Had a painful bout with Phantom Pains. Although I’m a left leg amputee, these Phantom Pains are very real. I can tell you what part of my leg or foot is being affected. It’s a condition that affects many of amputee patients. I just wish the Medical World would come up with something to stop or ease the pains. The pains started about 10:00 last night and didn’t end until around Noon today. So with no rest or sleep last night I spent most of the day resting and catching up on some sleep. For Dinner tonight its a Grilled Ham and Swiss on Sour Dough Bread w/ Baked Fries.

To prepare the Sandwiches I’ll need; Boar’s Head Sweet Slice Ham, Sargento Reduced Fat Swiss Cheese, French’s Yellow Mustard, Kraft Reduced Fat Mayo w/ Olive Oil, and Goldminer California Sourdough Bread. Today’s Menu; Grilled Ham and Swiss on Sour Dough Bread w/ Baked Fries

For Breakfast I reheated the leftover Skillet Potatoes and Ham from yesterday. To prepare it I used 1 package of Simply Potatoes Steakhouse Seasoned Diced Potatoes and a package of Meijer Diced Ham to prepare it. Just cook the Potatoes according to the package instructions and with about 5 minutes of cooking time left add the Diced Ham. I topped it with a sprinkle of Sargento Reduced Fat Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese. Also had my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Cloudy, Humid and 81 degrees today. After Breakfast I headed off to Meijer to do some grocery shopping. Stopped by McDonald’s and picked up Breakfast for Mom. Really too humid for me to do a lot outside today, that and my allergies! We have had bad pollen count all this Spring and my allergies are proof! Did a few things around the house then laid down for a while, bad sinus headache today. For Dinner tonight its a Grilled Ham and Swiss on Sour Dough Bread w/ Baked Fries.

To prepare the Sandwiches I’ll need; Boar’s Head Sweet Slice Ham, Sargento Reduced Fat Swiss Cheese, French’s Yellow Mustard, Kraft Reduced Fat Mayo w/ Olive Oil, and Goldminer California Sourdough Bread. For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn and a Diet Green Tea Snapple to drink, love that Snapple!

Started a load of laundry for Mom and did some quick house cleaning. I had to have Mom up to the center where Dad is to sign some insurance papers. To start the morning of I made some Simply Potatoes Shredded Hash Browns, Heated up some Meijer Diced Ham, fried an Egg Sunnyside Up, made a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. After Breakfast I had to go to Kroger to pick for a couple of items for Mom. Then stopped by McDonald’s and picked up Breakfast for Mom and Dad.For Dinner tonight I prepared a Grilled Ham and Swiss on Sour Dough Bread w/ Baked Fries. We ended up with about 2 or 3 inches of snow. But most of it already melted, 44 degrees for a high today! Hospice is going to help us with Dad from here on out. So we’ll be looking for an assisted living center with their help. Sure hate that we have to do it but it’s for his safety also as has fallen 5 times the last month. So it’s for the best.
