Today’s Menu: Grilled Ham and Swiss Sandwich w/ Baked Crinkle Fries

For Breakfast this morning I made a packet of my favorite Gravy, Pioneer Peppered White Gravy. I toasted a couple of slices of Aunt Millie’s Light Whole Grain Bread and had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Outside it’s mostly cloudy and 44 degrees out today. Did a few things around the house then after Lunch Me and Mom went out to the Cemetery where Dad is and put a Christmas Flowers Arrangement on the Grave. Can’t believe he’s been gone over 6 months now. We sure miss him. So for Dinner tonight its Grilled Ham and Swiss Sandwich w/ Baked Crinkle Fries.

To make my Grilled Ham Cheese I’ll be using; Kraft Reduced Fat Mayo, French’s Yellow Mustard, Boar’s Head Sweet Slice Ham, Sargento Reduced Fat Swiss Cheese, Blue Bonnet Light Butter, and Healthy Life Whole Grain Bread to make my Sandwich. I normally use Aunt Millie’s Bread but they were out of it so I bought a loaf of the Healthy Life Whole Grain Bread.

These are my favorite Grilled Sandwiches and I haven’t had one in a while! To prepare it I started by buttering the outside half of a slice of bread. Next spread the Mayo on the bottom slice of Bread, next layered the Ham, spread the Mustard, and added the slice of the Swiss. Added my top half of the sliced bread, buttering the outside of the slice. I then got out a large skillet, heated it up on medium heat and lightly coated it with a 1/2 pat of Butter. When the Butter was melted I added my sandwich. Grilled it on both sides until it was golden brown and the Cheese melted. Love these Grilled Ham and Cheese Sandwiches.

I also baked some Ore Ida Crinkle Fries, served these with a side of Hunt’s Ketchup for dipping. For Dessert/Snack later a Blue Bunny Sweet Freedom Sugarless Mini Ice Cream Cone.

Today’s Menu: Grilled Ham and Swiss Sandwich w/ Baked Crinkle Fries

For Breakfast this morning I Scrambled a couple of Eggs and topped it with some Sargento Reduced Fat Shredded Sharp Cheddar and some Ortega Smoked Chipotle Taco Sauce. I also toasted a couple slices of Aunt Millie’s Light Whole Grain Bread and had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Outside some rain early and then partly cloudy and 58 degrees out. I already voted, with an Absentee Ballot. I’m not active today as my sinuses have bothering the last day or so. Bad headache most of the night and afternoon. So plenty of rest today. For Dinner tonight its Grilled Ham and Swiss Sandwich w/ Baked Crinkle Fries.

Today’s Menu: Grilled Ham and Swiss Sandwich w/ Creamy Potato Soup

For Breakfast this morning I toasted a Healthy Life Whole Grain English Muffin and topped it with some Smucker’s Sugar Free Blackberry Jam and as usual I had my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. After Breakfast I went Kroger for a few items and then stopped at McDonald’s and picked up Breakfast for Mom. 31 degrees out this morning and 55 degrees and sunny for the afternoon. The Flu is going around and Mom has it! So I’m playing Doctor today also. Got the cart out of the shed and did some yard work for most of the day. For Dinner tonight it’s a Grilled Ham and Swiss Sandwich w/ Creamy Potato Soup.

It’s a Comfort Food Dinner tonight for me, Grilled Ham and Swiss Cheese Sandwich w/ Creamy Potato Soup. I’ve had this combo before and it just keep getting better! For the Soup I’m using a favorite of mine, Bear Creek Creamy Potato Soup Mix. I had not prepared this in a while and was ready for some. To prepare a package of it; In a 2 quart sauce pan bring 8 cups of water to a rolling boil. Whisk in the soup mix. Reduce the heat to medium and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Salt and pepper to taste and serve! Perfect seasoning, thickened up just right, plenty of Diced Potato and a fantastic Potato flavor. The package makes 8 cups and very easy to prepare. I really love all the Bear Creek Products I’ve tried so far. So delicious and easy to prepare. For Dessert later a bowl of Breyer’s Carb Smart Vanilla Bean Ice Cream.

Today’s Menu: Grilled Ham and Swiss Sandwich w/ Creamy Potato Soup

For Breakfast this morning I toasted a Healthy Life Whole Grain English Muffin and topped it with Smucker’s Sugar Free Blackberry Jam and I reheated a couple of Potato Pancakes that were leftover from Dinner last night. And as usual I had my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. A bit cooler out today, high of 67 degrees and partly cloudy with a passing shower. In the mail, I received some Meijer Coupons, some really great coupons! 60 cents off for Pam Cooking Spray, free package Sargento Cheese Sticks, 80 cents off a package of Jennie – O Ground Turkey and many more. So after Breakfast it was off to Mejier and I stopped by Kroger for Mom. Back home I cleaned the fridge and the oven, and done for the day. For Dinner tonight it’s a Grilled Ham and Swiss Sandwich w/ Creamy Potato Soup.

Next went outside and got the leaf blower out and cleaned of the deck and driveway. Later in the day I took Dad some Potato Soup that I had made up for Dinner, he loves Soup. Back home I got the cart out for a quick ride around the neighborhood. For Dinner tonight I prepared a Grilled Ham and Swiss Sandwich w/ Creamy Potato Soup.

Today’s Menu: Grilled Ham and Swiss Sandwich w/ Creamy Potato Soup

A light Breakfast this morning. I toasted a Healthy Life Whole Grain English Muffin and topped it with Smucker’s Sugar Free Blackberry Jam. And as usual I had my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Outside it’s mostly cloudy and a high in the mid 60’s. So after Breakfast I headed over to the hospital to see Dad. He seemed to be doing better today. They have run a series of tests on him and they all keep coming back negative. Really worried about him. Back home, I had the carpets all cleaned yesterday. So today I moved the furniture back in place. For Dinner tonight I prepared a Grilled Ham and Swiss Sandwich w/ Creamy Potato Soup.

Today’s Menu: Sweet Slice Boneless Smoked Ham and Swiss Sandwich w/ Chunky Baked Potato Soup with Cheddar and Bacon Bits

For Breakfast this morning I prepared some Simply Potatoes Shredded Hash Browns, fried up 2 Jennie – O Turkey Breakfast sausage Links, toasted 1 slice of Healthy Life Whole Grain Toast, and had the morning cup of Bigelow sweet-slice-boneless-smoked-ham-and-swiss-sandwich-w-chunky-bak-006Decaf Green Tea. After Breakfast did some cleaning around the house and finished up a couple of loads of laundry for Mom. After Lunch I went out and finished up my Christmas shopping, picked up a couple of gift cards and a couple of Ohio Lottery Holiday Scratch Off Cards. Went by a local Shopping Center area and it was a mad house! It was jam-packed with people, last minute shoppers! Back home, just relaxed the rest of the afternoon. For Dinner tonight its Sandwich and Soup. I prepared a Sweet Slice Boneless Smoked Ham and Swiss Sandwich w/ Chunky Baked Potato Soup with Cheddar and Bacon Bits.

While at our local Kroger a while back, they had Boar’s Head Sweet Slice Boneless Smoked Ham on sale in the Deli. I had not tried this one before so I purchased some to give it a try and have been using it ever since! It’s my favorite Ham, at least for now. As all the Boar’s Head products it was delicious and only 60 calories and 1 carb per serving. To make the sandwich I’ll need the Boar’s Head Sweet Slice Boneless Smoked Ham, Sargento Reduced Fat Sliced swiss Cheese, French’s Yellow Mustard, and a Healthy Life Whole Grain Bun. Easy to prepare and one delicious Sandwich!

sweet-slice-boneless-smoked-ham-and-swiss-sandwich-w-chunky-bak-009
To go with my Sandwich I heated up a can of Campbell’s Chunky Baked Potato Soup with Cheddar and Bacon Bits. Another easy to prepare item; just empty the contents of the can into a sauce pan and heat. Heated it on medium low heat, stirring often. I love a thick and hearty Soup and this one is perfect. Campbell’s Chunky Baked Potato Soup with Cheddar and Bacon Bits is the best there is, at least to me. For dessert later a Jello Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Pudding.

Today’s Menu: Sweet Slice Boneless Smoked Ham and Swiss Grilled Sandwich w/ Baked Fries

sweet-slice-boneless-smoked-ham-and-swiss-grilled-sandwich-007
For Breakfast this morning I Poached an Egg and served it on a Healthy Life Whole Grain English Muffin. And as usual I had a morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Another cold morning out there, about 8 degrees and near 0 with the wind chill! it did get to about 30 degrees and sunny out. After Lunch I took a drive over to my Oncologist Doctor’s Office and dropped off some candy for the staff for Christmas. Then dropped some more off at my Family Physician Office. ‘Tis the Season! For Dinner tonight I prepared a Sweet Slice Boneless Smoked Ham and Swiss Grilled Sandwich w/ Baked Fries.

sweet-slice-boneless-smoked-ham-and-swiss-grilled-sandwich-001

While at our local Kroger the other day, they had Boar’s Head Sweet Slice Boneless Smoked Ham on sale in the Deli. I had not tried this one before so I purchased some to give it a try. As all the Boar’s Head products it was delicious and only 60 calories and 1 carb per serving. I had made a Sandwich of it for Lunch yesterday and I’m having it for my Dinner tonight! To make the sandwich I’ll need the Boar’s Head Sweet Slice Boneless Smoked Ham, Sargento Reduced Fat Sliced swiss Cheese, French’s Yellow Mustard, and a Healthy Life Whole Grain Bun.

To prepare it I took a medium size skillet, sprayed it with Pam Cooking Spray, and heated it on medium heat. When heated I added my Ham and cooked it for about 4 minutes, flipping the slices several times. After flipping it for the sweet-slice-boneless-smoked-ham-and-swiss-grilled-sandwich-004last time I piled it up in the skillet and topped it with a slice of the Sargento Swiss Cheese. As the Cheese was melting I loaded it on to the Healthy Life Bun. Topped with French’s Mustard and served! The Boar’s Head Sweet Slice Boneless Smoked Ham makes one delicious Sandwich! When I order any sliced Cold-Cuts I always have them slice it paper-thin. Having Diabetes 2 I have to watch calories and carbs. And with the Cold-Cuts sliced thin I can pile it up and still be using the same amount as meat sliced regular. Sort of tricks the mind into thinking you’re getting more than you really are!

Grilled Cheese and Baked Fries 003
To go with my Sandwich I baked some Alexia Organic Yukon Select Fries leftover so I prepared them to go with my Burger.Seasoned them with McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Black Peppercorn Medley. Baked them at 425 degrees for 16 minutes. They bake up beautifully and seasoned just right, excellent Shoestring Fry! Plus they are only 120 calories and 15 net carbs. I had a Diet Dr. Pepper to drink. For dessert later a Weight watchers Cookies and Cream Ice Cream Bar.
