Today’s Menu: Bison Chopped Sirloin Steak w/ Baked Steak Fries
For Breakfast this morning I scrambled a couple of Eggs, fried 2 Eckrich Smoked Turkey Sausage Links, and toasted 2 slices of Healthy Life Whole Grain Bread. I also had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. After Breakfast we had to drop Mom’s car off for an oil change. While we waited on that we went over to Jungle Jim’s International Groceries. Love shopping there, they have everything including the best Deli, Produce Dept., and Seafood Dept. I’ve ever seen! You could spend all day there and still not see everything, but we only had about an hour. Took Mom back over to pick her car up and back home after stopping for gas. It’s another fairly warm day for the end of November, 57 degrees but cloudy. Got the leaf blower out and cleaned up some leaves around the deck and driveway. For Dinner tonight its a Bison Chopped Sirloin Steak w/ Baked Steak Fries.
The more I have this the more I like it, SayersBrook Bison Ranch – Bison Chopped Sirloin Steak! I had ordered a couple of packages of it from the SayersBrook Bison Ranch website along with a few other items for the first time a few months ago. These are nice size patties at 8 oz. each. They come in packs of 2, I prepared 1 for dinner and put the other back in the freezer.
I preheated the oven on 400 degrees. To prepare them I’ll need McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Peppercorn Medley, McCormick Crushed Rosemary, and McCormick Thyme Leaves (all seasoning to taste). I got the Cast Iron Skillet out to prepare these. I first sprayed it with a very light coat of Pam Cooking Spray and then added a tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Heated it on medium heat. When the pan was heated I added the Chopped Steaks. I cooked each side 4 minutes. Then finished it in the oven, at 400 degrees for 5 minutes. It cooked up beautifully, perfect medium rare! Had a nice little char on the outside and moist and juicy inside. These have an excellent taste to them, another very good item from SayersBrook Ranch! I topped the Chopped Steak with some Sauteed Mushrooms and A-1 Sauce Thick/Hardy.
For a side I baked some Ore Ida Steak Fries and had a side of Hunt’s Ketchup for dipping. Also baked a loaf of Pillsbury French Bread. For dessert later a bowl of Dole Sliced Peaches.

Buffalo 10 oz. New York Strip Steak w/ Baked Steak Fries and Baked Vegetarian Beans

Today’s Menu: Buffalo 10 oz. New York Strip Steak w/ Baked Steak Fries and Baked Vegetarian Beans
For Breakfast I had a toasted Healthy Life English Muffin that I topped with I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter. I also had a cup of my favorite Tea, Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Not quite as cold as yesterday, about 39 degrees. And the day was a beautiful Fall Day, 70 degrees and sunny! So after Breakfast I headed out Meijer, and did some Christmas shopping while there, and then on to Kroger for Mom. Back home cleared out some leaves around the house. Then got the cart out for an afternoon of riding around the neighborhood and lake. A lot of Geese and Mallard Ducks out on the water today. Really a nice day out today. For Dinner tonight I prepared a Buffalo 10 oz. New York Strip Steak w/ Baked Steak Fries and Baked Vegetarian Beans.
I had ordered a couple of Wild Idea Buffalo 10 oz. New York Strip Steaks and had them in the freezer. So I grabbed one out of the freezer last night and let it thaw in the fridge overnight. What beautiful cuts of Buffalo these Steaks are, so lean and delicious. To prepare it all I’ll need is McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Peppercorn Medley, Dried Rosemary, and Extra Virgin Olive Oil. I started by preheating a Cast Iron Skillet on medium high. Then rubbed a very light coat of the Extra Virgin Olive Oil on both sides of the Steak then seasoned both sides with the Rosemary, Sea Salt and Peppercorn Medley. Once the skillet is hot I added the Steak let it sear on the medium heat for about 6 minutes. Then turned it once and cooked for 7 more minutes. The Steak is a thick cut so I had to cook it longer than normal. Served it with some Sauteed Mushrooms.
These Steaks are every bit as delicious as they look! The taste is so fresh and has that slight sweet Grass Fed Buffalo taste to it. Moist and tender and so delicious! You just can’t beat these Wild Idea Buffalo Steaks, Bison or Beef. The Steak was plenty big so I saved some it for my Breakfast in the morning, Steak and Eggs!
For one side dish I baked some Ore Ida Steak Fries and had a side of Hunt’s Ketchup for dipping. Then for another side I prepared some Bush’s Reduced Sodium Vegetarian Baked Beans. I had tried these a while back and fell in love with the flavor and taste of the Vegetarian Beans! Only 130 calories, 0 fat, and 24 net carbs per serving. To prepare the; just open the can and empty the Beans Into Saucepan. Heat To Simmer until heated through. Love these Beans! For Dessert later a Weight Watcher’s Cookies and Cream Ice Cream Bar.
Wild Idea Buffalo – 10 OZ. NEW YORK STRIP STEAK
A classic American favorite, lean and luscious. This steak is cut from the short loin and is extremely tender and flavorful. The New York Strip Steak will always take center stage on any grill. 10 oz.

For Breakfast this morning I scrambled a couple of Eggs and toasted 2 slices of Healthy Life Whole Grain Bread. I also had a cup og Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. After Breakfast I went to Kroger for a couple of items and stopped by McDonald’s to pick up Breakfast for Mom and Dad. What a beautiful Fall Day out there today! Mostly Sunny and 65 degrees. Got a few things done around the house and got the cart out afterward. Took a couple of spins around the neighborhood and then down by the lake, very relaxing! For Dinner tonight I prepared a Bison Chopped Sirloin Steak w/ Baked Steak Fries.

Surf and Turf – Crab Cake and Bison Strip Loin Steak w/ Baked Fries

Today’s Menu: Surf and Turf – Crab Cake and Bison Strip Loin Steak w/ Baked Fries
It’s a warm Summer’s day out there today. Lots of sunshine and a high around 86 degrees. I broke out the Glier’s Turkey Goetta for Breakfast! I love Goetta, the aroma of it when your frying it just makes your mouth water! I also prepared a couple of slices of Klosterman Wheat Bread and my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. After that my morning workout and a shower. Both Mom and Dad went to Church so I spent the day cleaning inside and out today. Had a few spots I had to scrub on the hard wood floor also. After everything was done I got the Cart out for a bit to enjoy the rest of the day. For dinner tonight it’s Surf and Turf! I prepared Crab Cake and Bison Strip Loin Steak w/ Baked Fries.
I’ve prepared Surf and Turf a few times but never with these 2 items, first time trying them both. I normally use Wild Idea Buffalo but while at Kroger last week I noticed they had Bison items by Simple Truth so I thought I would give them a try. I had the Simple Truth Bison Strip Loin Steak in the freezer so I sat it in the fridge overnight to thaw. To prepare it I put a light coat of Extra Virgin Olive Oil on it. I then seasoned it with McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Peppercorn Medley. i pan fried it in a medium skillet, sprayed with Pam Cooking Spray, on medium heat. I cooked it about 4 minutes per side, for medium rare. The Bison came out moist and very tender. It doesn’t have the same somewhat sweet taste that the Wild Idea Buffalo does but it’s a very good Bison Steak!
Then for the Crab Cakes I used Dockside Classics Premium Crab Cakes. I purchased the box of these at Kroger also, and first time trying them. They come 4 to a box. To prepare them preheat the oven on 400 degrees. Remove them from the package and place them on a cookie sheet. Then I baked them for 16 minutes. Remove them from the oven and let cool for 3 minutes and served. Not real big Cakes but meaty, well seasoned, and a very good crab Cake. It comes with a small container of Cocktail Sauce. 150 calories and 7 carbs per Crab Cake. I also baked some Ore Ida Steak Fries with a side of Hunt’s Ketchup for dipping. For dessert later a Healthy Choice Dark Fudge Swirl Frozen Greek Yogurt.

The rains have stopped, the sun is out, and it’s a beautiful day out! Had a light Breakfast and out the door. Went to Mejier and they were finally well stocked on Jennie – O Turkey Products! They had the Jennie – O Turkey Breakfast Sausage Links, Sweet Italian Turkey Sausages, and the Extra Lean Ground Turkey Breast, and I just ran out of freezer room! Back home swept up outside around the house then at 2:45 I had a doctor’s appointment with my Family Doctor, to take a look at my finger that has lump on it just beneath the skin. My Family Doc seemed a bit concerned so he’s sending me to my Dermatologist, in next Tuesday. So hopefully it’s nothing but I’m real nervous, the wait is worse than anything! Anyway for dinner tonight I prepared a Sharp Cheddar and Mushroom Buffalo Burger w/ Baked Steak Fries.
Used my favorite Buffalo, the Wild Idea Buffalo 1/3-Lb Buffalo Burger. I had it in the freezer so I laid it in the fridge overnight to thaw. I Preheated up a small skillet that I sprayed with Pam Cooking Spray, seasoned my Burger with McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Black Peppercorn. I then pan fried it, in Extra Virgin Olive Oil, about 3 1/2 minutes per side, and done! I topped it with a slice of Kraft Sharp Cheddar Cheese and Sauteed Mushrooms, served it on a Kroger Lite Wheat Hamburger Bun. Just love these Buffalo Burgers; meaty, juicy and just flat out delicious For a side I baked some Ore Ida Steak Fries, with a side of Hunt’s Ketchup for the Fries

Today’s Menu: Buffalo 10 oz. New York Strip Steak w/ Baked Steak Fries and Skillet Asparagus
It’s a warm day out there today but with low humidity again. Had a Simple Truth Breakfast Sandwich with Canadian Bacon for Breakfast. After my morning workout went to Meijer, out of the Envy Apples. Leaving Meijer I was waiting to turn on to I-75 and there was 4 cars ahead of me. The light turned green and the cars ahead just sat there, the driver in front of me started honking his horn. Still no movement and the light turned red. So you can right turn on red if nothing is coming, but still the guy up front just sat there on his cell phone. Then several people were honking and he jumps out of his car, cell phone in hand, and starts yelling, “Shut up, I’ve got an important phone call.” I left out his exact words, it was littered with a lot 4 letter words. Anyway he jumps back in his car so cars started to go around him and when that starts he decides to turn himself. The line of traffic finally got on I-75 and everyone that passed this nut job he was flipping off! Takes all kinds I guess. Just another day in the life! For dinner tonight I prepared a Wild Idea Buffalo 10 oz. New York Strip Steak w/ Baked Steak Fries and Skillet Asparagus.
I received my latest order from Wild Idea Buffalo yesterday afternoon and couldn’t wait to have one of the Buffalo 10 oz. New York Strip Steaks I had ordered! So I froze the rest of the order and kept one Steak out and let it thaw in the fridge overnight. What beautiful cuts of Buffalo these Steaks are. To prepare it all I’ll need is McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Peppercorn Medley, Dried Rosemary, and Extra Virgin Olive Oil. I started by preheating a Cast Iron Skillet on high. Then rubbed a very light coat of the Extra Virgin Olive Oil on both sides of the Steak then seasoned both sides with the Sea Salt and Peppercorn. Once the skillet is hot I added the Steak let it sear on the high heat for about 4 minutes. Then turned it once and cooked for 3 1/2 more minutes to a perfect medium rare. The Steak is every bit as delicious as it looked! The taste so fresh and has a slight sweet taste to it. Moist and tender and so delicious! You just can’t beat these Wild Idea Buffalo Steaks, Bison or Beef.
For one side I prepared some baked Ore Ida Steak Fries, seasoned with Sea Salt and Ground Black Pepper with a side of Hunt’s Ketchup for dipping. Then I also prepared some Skillet Asparagus. To prepare this I heated a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. I trimmed and cut the Asparagus and set aside. Added Extra Virgin Olive Oil to pan; swirled to coat. Added the Asparagus to the pan and seasoned with Sea Salt, Black Pepper, and Garlic Salt; cooked about 3 minutes until the Asparagus was crisp-tender and browned and served. Wow, quite a meal! For dessert later a Healthy Choice Dark Fudge Swirl Frozen Greek Yogurt.

Whew baby, we got one humid day out there today! You can just stand outside and have to go in and change shirts, it’s bad. After Breakfast and a morning workout I went to Kroger for a few items and then to McDonald’s to get Mom and Dad’s Breakfast for them. I’m not a huge fan of McDonald’s myself, Mom and Dad love eating there. Back home cleaned up around the house also repaired a couple of shelves that were loosened up a bit. Wanted and easy made meal tonight so nothing easier than Hot Dogs and Fries, Tonight I prepared Turkey Frank Dogs w/ Baked Steak Fries.
I used Ball Park Smoked White Meat Turkey Franks. I usually use Jennie – O but that’s another Jennie O Turkey Product hard to come by at local stores around here. Anyway I prepared the Turkey Franks by boiling them in water, boiled about 5 minutes and done. Delicious and Plump Turkey Franks! Only 45 calories and 3 net carbs per Frank. Today’s Menu: Clam Strips and Baked Fries
It’s just been one of those days where nothing seemed to workout and everything going wrong. Without going into details, was having problems trying to take care of my Dad again. Then I have a new Hoveround Chair that’s basically my legs here in the house. Life would be so difficult without it. But I just got this new version of the chair and it was not designed for people who are disabled in mind. So I spent quite a while on the phone with Hoveround, expressing my displeasure over the chair. They are going to send a repairman out to help me out and correct the problem, probably be a week or so. All right enough ranting, time for dinner! Tonight I prepared Clam Strips and Baked Fries.
After the day I’ve had today I wanted something very easy to prepare, but still a good meal. So what be easier than baking everything, Clam Strips and Baked Fries! I used a box of SeaPak Clam Strips. Preheat the oven on 400 degrees. I then lined a baking sheet with foil and sprayed it with a shot of Pam Cooking Spray. Placed the Clam Strips in a single layer on the sheet and baked them for 12 minutes, flipping them over after 7 minutes. These come out so delicious. Love these, very meaty strips, well seasoned, and easy to prepare. Had a side of McCormick’s Tarter Sauce, for dipping. Great product to have in the freezer for those days where you want something easy to prepare.
For a side I baked some Ore Ida Steak Fries. Seasoned these with Sea Salt and Ground Black Pepper, with a side of Hunt’s Ketchup for dipping. For dessert later a Healthy Choice Dark Fudge Swirl Frozen Yogurt.
