Pinto Bean & Andouille Sausage Stew
An adaptation of the Andalusian dish fabada, this pinto bean stew is seasoned with andouille sausage, bacon, tomatoes, onions, peppers and smoked paprika. Fans of spicy beans should use the full amount of minced chile pepper (or more). Serve with brown rice and sour cream…..

Braised Paprika Chicken
Sweet Hungarian paprika gives this creamy braised chicken the best flavor. This is a good “pantry dish” since you should have the basics on hand and only need to purchase the chicken. You may vary the recipe by using cubed veal shoulder instead of chicken and mushrooms instead of peppers. Serve with whole-wheat orzo flavored with minced parsley or dill……

Today’s Menu: Chicken Florentine & Farfalle Complete Skillet Meal w/ Garlic Knot BreadNewman's Own chicken floratine 005

For the second time I’m going with Newman’s Own Chicken Florentine & Farfalle Complete Skillet Meal. I came across this at Meijer a while back and I’ve tried a couple of the dinners now. It has 370 calories and 42 carbs, which isn’t bad considering it’s a complete meal. It comes frozen and contains “Freshly made Pasta and White Chicken Meat in a Parmesan and Romano Cheese Sauce.”

You want an easy and delicious Chicken Florentine meal, you have to try this! The only problem is it’s a 2 serving meal and if your just preparing for yourself it’s tough not to eat both servings! I really enjoyed this. The Pasta, Chicken and Sauce are perfect together. The only things I added was a bit of Sea Salt and a sprinkle of Kraft Shredded Parm Cheese. I baked a side of Walmart Bakery’s Garlic Knot Bread. For dessert later i baked a pan of Betty Crocker Low Fat Fudge Brownies, I added walnuts to them to make them Walnut Fudge Brownies. I took a half serving slice of Brownies and topped it with a scoop of Breyer’s Carb Smart Vanilla Ice Cream for dessert later.

The Saboscrivner

The Saboscrivner is a librarian who writes about food in Orlando, Florida, and beyond. I was inspired by Chew, a brilliant, bizarre, food-obsessed comic book series about characters with food-related super powers. Creators John Layman and Rob Guillory introduced their saboscrivner in Chew #3 with a description: "[A saboscrivner] can write about food so accurately, so vividly and with such precision – people get the actual sensation of taste when reading about the meals [he] writes about."
