Today’s Menu: Sharp Cheddar and Bacon Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries

To start my day off I had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. 79 degrees and partly cloudy out today, a bit cooler and low humidity. After my Tea I headed to Kroger for Mom. Then stopped by McDonald’s and picked up Breakfast for her. Back home I did a load of laundry and then outside to do some yard work. Got the cart, rake, shovel, and Leaf Blower out of the shed. Pulled up a couple of dead bushes on the side of the house. Then cleaned off the deck and driveway areas. For Dinner tonight its a Sharp Cheddar and Chicken Bacon Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries.

So I started by getting a skillet and spraying it with Pam Non Stick Cooking Spray and heating it on medium heat. For the Bacon I’m using al fresco Uncured Chicken Bacon. It fries up perfect with an excellent taste. I buy it at Meijer, it’s the only store I’ve found to carry it. I need 2 slices but fried 5 slices. Always remember when frying Bacon use the Bacon Math. Just decide how many slices you’ll need and double it or so. Because, at least when I fry Bacon, you end up eating as much as you fix as you’re preparing it!

I had bought a package of the Jennie – O Lean 93% Lean Turkey Burger Patties at Meijer and had them in the freezer. I grabbed a couple of them last night and let it thaw in the fridge overnight. To prepare the Burger I grabbed a skillet sprayed it the Pam and added 2 teaspoons of Extra Light Olive Oil, heated it on medium heat. When ready I added the Turkey Burger and cooked it for 14 minutes flipping it several times. With a minute of cooking time left I added a slice of Kraft Deli Deluxe Sharp Cheddar Cheese. And done!

Added the Bacon, Lettuce, some Hellman’s Spicy Chipotle Mayonnaise and served it on a Healthy Life Wheat Bun. Just love these Burgers, juicy and delicious, and with the Sharp Cheddar and Bacon it makes it that much better! I love this Mayo, you have to try it! I tried the Hellman’s Spicy Chipotle Mayonnaise on the last Turkey Burger and loved it! It’s nice and Creamy with excellent flavor and a nice little kick to it!

I also baked some Ore Ida Crinkle Cut Fries. I just baked them for 19 minutes and done! Served them with a side of Hunt’s Ketchup. For Dessert later a few slices of a Honeycrisp Apple.

Today’s Menu: Chunky Baked Potato Soup with Cheddar and Bacon Bits w/ Grilled Cheese

For Breakfast I had a toasted Thomas Light English Muffin topped with Smucker’s Sugar Free Blackberry Jam and a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. 78 degrees and sunny out today. I went to Kroger after Breakfast and picked up Mom’s prescriptions for her and then stopped at McDonald’s and picked up Breakfast for her. Did a few things around the house and then got the cart out of the shed and enjoyed this beautiful day! For Dinner tonight it’s all Comfort Food! I prepared Chunky Baked Potato Soup with Cheddar and Bacon Bits w/ Grilled Cheese.

Not real hungry tonight and I wanted something a little lighter for Dinner and Potato Soup with a Grilled Cheese sounded pretty good! I’ve always loved Soup and the Campbell’s Chunky Baked Potato Soup with Cheddar and Bacon Bits is one om favorites! Another easy to prepare item; just empty the contents of the can into a sauce pan and heat. Heated it on medium low heat, stirring often. I love a thick and hearty Soup and this one is perfect. Campbell’s Chunky Baked Potato Soup with Cheddar and Bacon Bits is one of the best there is, at least to me.

Then for my Grilled Cheese I’ll be using; Kraft Sliced Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Blue Bonnet Light Butter, and Healthy Life Whole Grain Bread. I started by buttering the outside half of a slice of bread. Layered 2 slices of the Sharp Cheddar on top. Added my top half of the sliced bread, buttering the outside of the slice. I then got out a skillet, heated it up on medium heat and lightly coated it with a 1/2 pat of Butter. When the Butter was melted I added my sandwich. Grilled it on both sides until it was golden brown and the Cheese melted. For Dessert later a Jello Sugar Free Dark Cherry Jello.

Today’s Menu: Buffalo Burger Patty Melt w/ Baked Fries

For Breakfast this morning I toasted a Thomas Light English Muffin and topped it with Smucker’s Sugar Free Blackberry Jam. Also had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. 91 degrees, and mostly sunny, very humid out. After Breakfast I went to Walmart and then Menards. Back home finished up some yard work in the backyard. For Dinner tonight I prepared a Buffalo Burger Patty Melt w/ Baked Fries.

To make my Burger I’ll be needing a Wild Idea 1/3 pound Buffalo Burger Patty, Wild Idea Buffalo Omnivore Salt, Boar’s Head Fully Cooked Bacon, Pam Non Stick Cooking Spray, Blue Bonnet Butter, and Aunt Millie’s Light Whole Grain Bread. When it’s any type of Buffalo Burger it’s always the Wild Idea Buffalo 1/3-Lb Burgers. Just love these Buffalo Burgers; meaty, juicy and just flat out delicious! Preheated the Cast Iron Flat-Top Griddle that I sprayed with Pam Cooking Spray and heated on medium heat. As it was heating I seasoned my Burger with the Wild Idea Buffalo Omnivore Salt.

With the Griddle heated I added my Burger. As the Burger was cooking I added a few slices of Boar’s Head Fully Cooked Bacon, just heated it up on the Griddle for 1 minute. I fried my Burger about 3 1/2 minutes per side. After I flipped the Burger I added a slice of Kraft Sharp Cheddar Cheese on top. As the Burger was cooking I had added some Butter on the other half of the Griddle. I took 2 slices of the Bread and grilled both slices, flipping it once.

As the Burger finished I took the Burger and added to a slice of the Bread, added the Bacon on top and added the other slice of Bread.Continued cooking it 1 minute and done! This made one delicious Buffalo Burger Patty Melt. The Cheese and Bacon just added to the juicy Burger flavor! Excellent Burger.

I also baked some Ore Ida Crinkle Cut Fries, served these with a side of Hunt’s Ketchup for dipping. For Dessert/Snack later a 100 Calorie Mini Bag of Snyder’s Pretzels with a Diet Dr. Pepper to drink.

Today’s Menu: Sharp Cheddar and Bacon Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries

To start my day off I prepared some Simply Potatoes Shredded Hash Browns and heated up some Kroger Diced Ham. I made a bed of the Hash Browns in a bowl and sprinkled some Sargento Reduced Fat Sharp Cheddar Cheese. Next I put the Diced Ham over top the Hash Browns. One of my favorite Breakfast Dishes. Also had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. 83 degrees and mostly sunny. Did a load of laundry after Breakfast. Got the cart out along with the rake and leaf blower and did some yard work. Took a spin around the neighborhood afterward. So for Dinner tonight its a Sharp Cheddar and Chicken Bacon Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries.

I had this same Burger a while back and it was so good I’m having it again tonight! Because, at least when I fry Bacon, you end up eating as much as you fix as you’re preparing it!

Just love these Burgers, juicy and delicious, and with the Sharp Cheddar and Bacon it makes it that much better! I love this Mayo! I tried the Hellman’s Spicy Chipotle Mayonnaise on the last Turkey Burger and loved it! It’s nice and Creamy with excellent flavor and a little kick to it! I’ll have a supply of this in the Pantry.

I also baked some Ore Ida Crinkle Cut Fries. I just baked them for 19 minutes and done! Served them with a side of Hunt’s Ketchup. For Dessert/Snack later a 100 Calorie Mini Bag of Snyder’s Stick Pretzels with a Sprite Zero to drink.

Today’s Menu: Loaded Potato Hearty Soup and a Grilled Cheese

Just a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea for Breakfast. 97 degrees and humid outside. Not much going on outside due to the humidity and a high Pollen Count. From what they say we are in for a run mid 90’s or higher weather for at least a week. I took Mom to the Bank and Post Office, stopped and got gas before heading home. Too hot and humid to do much of anything outside! Did a load of laundry and cleaned the fridge later on. For Dinner tonight I prepared Loaded Potato Hearty Soup and a Grilled Cheese.

I wanted something light for Dinner so Soup and Grilled Cheese seemed perfect! I’m trying the Idahoan Loaded Potato Hearty Soup. It comes in a packet and easy to prepare. I’ll be preparing the Soup on the stovetop. Start by heating 4 cups of water to a boil in a 2 quart pot. Whisk in the contents of one pouch of soup all at once. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 5 min, stirring occasionally. Remove the pot from heat and let stand 5 min to cool slightly before serving.

Really a very good Potato Soup! I topped it off with Sargento Off the Block 4 State Cheddar Cheese. Plenty of Potatoes and the Soup had excellent Seasoning. I’ll be adding this to the Pantry!

To go with the Potato Soup I prepared a Grilled Cheese, I love Grilled Cheese! I’ll be using; Kraft Sliced Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Blue Bonnet Light Butter, and Aunt Millie’s Light Whole Grain Bread. For Dessert later a Jello Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Pudding.

Today’s Menu: Sharp Cheddar and Bacon Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries

To start my morning off I had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. 89 degrees and very humid out today, not too comfortable out there. Rain moving in toward the evening. After my Tea I headed out to Meijer. I had a spigot installed in the front. I got tired of lugging a hose from the far side to the front. So I had installed yesterday. So off to Meijer to buy a hose for it. Stopped and got the car washed on the way home. Not much else going on. So for Dinner tonight its a Sharp Cheddar and Chicken Bacon Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries.

I started by getting a skillet and spraying it with Pam Non Stick Cooking Spray and heating it on medium heat. For the Bacon I’m using al fresco Uncured Chicken Bacon. It fries up perfect with an excellent taste. I buy it at Meijer, it’s the only store I’ve found to carry it. I need to 2 slices but fried up 5 slices. Always remember when frying Bacon use the Bacon Math. Just decide how many slices you’ll need and double it or so. Added the Bacon, Lettuce, some Hellman’s Spicy Chipotle Mayonnaise and served it on a Healthy Life Wheat Bun. Just love these Burgers, juicy and delicious, and with the Sharp Cheddar and Bacon it makes it that much better! First time I tried the Hellman’s Spicy Chipotle Mayonnaise, nice and Creamy with nice flavor and kick to it! I’ll have to add this the pantry list!

I also baked some Ore Ida Crinkle Cut Fries. I just baked them for 19 minutes and done! Served them with a side of Hunt’s Ketchup. For Dessert/Snack later a 100 Calorie Mini Bag of Snyder’s Stick Pretzels with a Diet Lemonade/Tea Snapple to drink.

Today’s Menu: Sharp Cheddar Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries

To start my morning off I prepared a Simply Potatoes Shredded Hash Browns and Meijer Diced Ham Skillet. I prepared the Hash Browns and made a bed of them in a bowl and topped them with some Sargento Off the Block Three State Cheddar Cheese. I prepared the Diced Ham as the Hash Browns were cooking. Then I put the Diced Ham over top the Hash Browns. Then I fried an Egg Sunny Side Up and topped the Ham and Potatoes. Love this Breakfast Dish! I also had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. 86 degrees and very humid, also a couple of light showers. My Sinuses are running wild today! The high humidity and pollen count did me in today. Had a headache most of the day, just have to wait it out. Anyway for Dinner tonight its a Sharp Cheddar Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries.

I bought a package of the Jennie – O Lean 93% Lean Turkey Burger Patties at Meijer the other day, and having one for Dinner today! And done! Served it on a Healthy Life Wheat Bun. Just love these Burgers, juicy and delicious!

I also baked some Ore Ida Crinkle Cut Fries. I just baked them for 19 minutes and done! Served them with a side of Hunt’s Ketchup. For Dessert/Snack later a 100 Calorie Mini Bag of Snyder’s Stick Pretzels with a Diet Dr. Pepper to drink.

Today’s Menu: Creamy Tomato Soup w/ Grilled Cheese Sandwich

For Breakfast this morning I had a toasted Thomas Light English Muffin that I topped with Smucker’s Sugar Free Blackberry Jam. I also had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Partly sunny, humid, passing thunderstorms and 87 degrees out. Our weather seems to be in a holding pattern. Beats cold weather though! Allergies were a huge problem today, bad headache most of the day. Nothing sounded good for Dinner so I went to a Classic Dish, Creamy Tomato Soup w/ Grilled Cheese Sandwich.

I wanted something light tonight so what better than Creamy Tomato Soup with a Grilled Cheese Sandwich. I heated up a can of Amy’s Organic Creamy Tomato Soup. My favorite Tomato Soup by far. I’ve been using for quite some time now. So creamy with a fantastic flavor and it’s 110 calories and 19 carbs. Just empty the contents into a small sauce pan and heat on medium, stirring often, until heated. And it’s ready to go and so good!

For Dessert later a Jello Dark Cherry Sugar Free Jello.

Today’s Menu: Applewood Smoke Bacon and Sharp Cheddar Cheese Ground Chicken Burger w/ Baked Fries

For Breakfast this morning I had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. After Breakfast I did a couple of loads of laundry. Cloudy, passing rain showers, and a high of 74 degrees out today. Well the Beauty Salons opened back up today and Mom made sure she had an appointment this morning at 10:00! After Lunch and in between thunderstorms I moved 3 bags of extra Dark Mulch over to my neighbor’s house. He’s older and not in great health so I was able to take them over using my Hoveround. Don’t know what I would do without my Hoveround. Being an amputee it is my legs! For Dinner tonight I prepared a Applewood Smoke Bacon and Sharp Cheddar Cheese Ground Chicken Burger w/ Baked Fries.

I had this Burger a couple of weeks ago and couldn’t wait to have another! I had purchased a package of Smart Ground Chicken from Meijer a while back and had it in the freezer. I already had divided the package into 4 equal parts to make 4 Chicken Burgers. So I set a package in the the fridge overnight to thaw. To make the Burger I’ll need; the Ground Chicken (1 lb. package), Litehouse Poultry Herb Seasoning, McCormick’s Grinders of Sea Salt and Peppercorn Medley, and Meijer Italian Style Bread Crumbs. For toppings I’m using Kraft Reduced Fat Mayo w/Olive Oil, Heinz 57 Sauce, John Morrell Applewood Smoked Bacon, and Kraft Deli Style Sharp Cheddar Cheese. Served it on a Healthy Life Wheat Hamburger Bun.

First thing I did was fry the Bacon. I’m using John Morrell Applewood Smoked Bacon. I rarely use John Morrell but you have to use what you can find in stock right now at the stores. John Morrell Bacon is great tasting Bacon, just don’t use it. So I grabbed a large skillet and sprayed it with Pam cooking Spray. Then heated it on medium heat. When the skillet was heated I added the Bacon. Mom loves Bacon so I just fried the whole package. Fried up great and was delicious! I set it aside until I needed it.

Next I made my Chicken Burger patties. To prepare them, in a large bowl, combine Chicken, Ground Cumin, Paprika, Garlic Powder, Dried Oregano, Sea Salt and Peppercorn Medley, and Italian Style Bread Crumbs. The Seasonings amount are to taste and 2 tablespoons of the Italian Style Bread Crumbs. Make a little depression with your thumb in the center of each burger so they cook evenly.

In a Skillet over medium heat, heat oil. Add burger patties and cook, flipping once, until golden and a thermometer inserted into the center registers 165°, 8 to 10 minutes. Top with Cheddar and cook until just started melting, 2 minutes. Remove from heat and transfer patties to a plate. Serve on the Buns and top with Mayo, Heinz 57 Sauce, and the Bacon. The Ground Chicken Burger is juicy, moist, and flavorful! I’ll have to start having a lot more often!

To go with the Chicken Burger I prepared Ore Ida Golden Crinkle Cut French Fries. Like all the Ore Ida Products, they are easy to prepare and delicious. I just baked them for 19 minutes and done! Served them with a side of Heinz 57 Sauce. For Dessert/Snack later a 100 Calorie Mini Bag of Snyder’s Waffle Pretzels with a Sprite Zero to drink.

Smart Ground Chicken
Ground chicken is a healthy start for any meal since one serving (100 grams, or about 3 ounces) meets one’s protein needs for a nutritious meal – plus it’s lower in calories and fat than many meat sources. Lean ground chicken is high in protein and offers less saturated fat than ground beef.
