Today’s Menu: Sharp Cheddar and Bacon Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries

 

To start my day off I had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. 20 degrees out this morning, but no new snow overnight! First time in a while. I had to have Mom out to Ross, Ohio for her 2nd Covid Virus Vaccine shot. Her appointment was at 10:00 but we got there at 9:15 so she could get in line early. Good thing we did as the line later stretched through the store! I waited outside and there was just a steady stream of people going in. All were elderly so there was a lot of canes, walkers and wheelchairs. So glad that the elderly are getting theirs finally. So for Dinner tonight its a Sharp Cheddar and Chicken Bacon Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries.

 

So I started by getting a skillet and spraying it with Pam Non Stick Cooking Spray and heating it on medium heat. For the Bacon I’m using al fresco Uncured Chicken Bacon. It fries up perfect with an excellent taste. I buy it at Meijer, it’s the only store I’ve found to carry it. I need 2 slices but fried 5 slices. Always remember when frying Bacon use the Bacon Math. Just decide how many slices you’ll need and double it or so. Because, at least when I fry Bacon, you end up eating as much as you fix as you’re preparing it!

 

I had bought a package of the Jennie – O Lean 93% Lean Turkey Burger Patties at Meijer and had them in the freezer. I grabbed a couple of them last night and let it thaw in the fridge overnight. To prepare the Burger I grabbed a skillet sprayed it the Pam and added 2 teaspoons of Extra Light Olive Oil, heated it on medium heat. When ready I added the Turkey Burger and cooked it for 14 minutes flipping it several times. With a minute of cooking time left I added a slice of Kraft Deli Deluxe Sharp Cheddar Cheese. And done!

 

Added the Bacon, Lettuce, some Hellman’s Spicy Chipotle Mayonnaise and served it on a Healthy Life Wheat Bun. Just love these Burgers, juicy and delicious, and with the Sharp Cheddar and Bacon it makes it that much better! I love this Mayo, you have to try it! I tried the Hellman’s Spicy Chipotle Mayonnaise on the last Turkey Burger and loved it! It’s nice and Creamy with excellent flavor and a nice little kick to it!

 

 

 

I also baked some Ore Ida Crinkle Cut Fries. I just baked them for 19 minutes and done! Served them with a side of Hunt’s Ketchup. For Dessert later a Jello Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Pudding.

Today’s Menu: Chunky Baked Potato Soup with Cheddar and Bacon Bits w/ Grilled Cheese

 

 

 

For Breakfast I had a toasted Thomas Light English Muffin topped with Smucker’s Sugar Free Blackberry Jam and a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. 28 degrees, windy, cloudy and snow flurries out today. It snowed about a 1inch overnight again, with more on the way. Did some things around the house. For Dinner tonight it’s the perfect Winter’s Day Comfort Food! I prepared Chunky Baked Potato Soup with Cheddar and Bacon Bits w/ Grilled Cheese.

 

 

The wind was really blowing out there today so what better for Dinner than Potato Soup with a Grilled Cheese! I’ve always loved Soup and the Campbell’s Chunky Baked Potato Soup with Cheddar and Bacon Bits is one of my favorites! Easy to prepare item; just empty the contents of the can into a sauce pan and heat. Heated it on medium low heat, stirring often. I love a thick and hearty Soup and this one is perfect. Campbell’s Chunky Baked Potato Soup with Cheddar and Bacon Bits is one of the best there is, at least to me.

 

 

Then for my Grilled Cheese I’ll be using; Kraft Sliced Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Blue Bonnet Light Butter, and Healthy Life Whole Grain Bread. I started by buttering the outside half of a slice of bread. Layered 2 slices of the Sharp Cheddar on top. Added my top half of the sliced bread, buttering the outside of the slice. I then got out a skillet, heated it up on medium heat and lightly coated it with a 1/2 pat of Butter. When the Butter was melted I added my sandwich. Grilled it on both sides until it was golden brown and the Cheese melted. For Dessert later a Jello Sugar Free Dark Cherry Jello.

Today’s Menu: Sharp Cheddar Cheese Ground Pork Burger w/ Baked Fries

 

 

To start my morning I Scrambled a couple of Eggs, toasted a couple of slices of Aunt Millie’s Light Whole Grain Bread, and made a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. 36 degrees and rain, and a whole lot of it! I seen a couple of houses up the street where the ambulance stopped and to take people off to the hospital. Bad way to start the week off! Did a couple of loads of laundry after Breakfast. Then after Lunch I had to go to Kroger and Pick Up my Grocery Order. A lot safer to order on line and then they deliver to your car. Back home all caught up today. Caught up on some shows I had recorded. For Dinner tonight I prepared a Sharp Cheddar Cheese Ground Pork Burger w/ Baked Fries.

 

I first fried about 5 slices of al fresco Chicken Bacon. I love using this Bacon, fries up perfect and only 35 calories for 2 slices. I sat aside until I added to the Burger. I only needed I only needed 2 slices but using the Bacon math you should always make double the amount. You have to have some eat as your preparing everything!

 

I bought a 1 lb. package of Ground Pork at Meijer the other day. With a 1 lb. package of Ground Pork you can easily get 4-5 Burgers. To make them I got a large bowl and added the Pork. I then added all the Spices; Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Cumin, Mustard Powder, Dried Cilantro Leaves. I mixed the Spices with the Ground Pork until well mixed. Don’t overwork the Pork, you don’t want to break the Pork down. Next just form the Pork Mixture into Burgers. To cook the Burgers I’m using a large Cast Iron Skillet. I first sprayed it with Pam Cooking Spray and added 1 tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, heated the Skillet on medium heat. When the Skillet was heated up I added my Burgers.

 

After 3 minutes flip the burgers. Continued cooking for 6-8 minutes more. Flipped one more time, cover and cook for another 3-4 minutes or until cooked through. If you’re adding on Cheese, go ahead and do so with about a minute before removing from them pan. I’m using Kraft Deli Style Sharp Cheddar. When cooking Pork Burgers, you want to make sure that they are cooked all the way through. Which means taking them to 160 degrees internally. I served the Burgers on Healthy Life Whole Grain Hamburger Buns. The Burgers were topped with Sharp Cheddar Cheese, al fresco Chicken Bacon and Hellman’s Organic Mayonnaise – Spicy Chipotle. One delicious Burger!

 

To go with the Burger I I also baked some Ore Ida Crinkle Cut Fries, served with a side of Hunt’s Ketchup. For Dessert/Snack later a 100 Calorie Mini Bag of Snyder’s of Hanover Stick Pretzels with a Diet Trop A Rocka Diet Snapple to drink.

Today’s Menu: Chicken Bacon and Sharp Cheddar Cheese Burger w/ Baked Fries

 

 

For Breakfast this morning I Scrambled a couple of Eggs that I sprinkled some Sargento Off the Block Sharp Cheddar Cheese and Ortega Smoky Chipotle Taco Sauce. Next I toasted a couple of slices of Aunt Millie’s Live Light Whole Grain Bread that I topped with I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter. I also had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Another Cold and Gloomy Day out! We had a high of 33 degrees and windy out today. After I ate I went to McDonald’s and picked up Breakfast for Mom. Back home a while back I had purchased some new Furniture Coasters. I put the Coasters under all the Furniture, that way it’s easy to move if need be and easy to move to vacuum and clean under it. The ones I had under a lot of Furniture are worn out so it was time to replace them. That was about it for the day. For Dinner tonight a Chicken Bacon and Sharp Cheddar Cheese Burger w/ Baked Fries.

 

I had bought Mom some Omaha Steaks Burgers, yes I’m using Beef! I rarely use Beef but Mom had tried these a while back so I purchased a box for her. So we are having a couple more of them tonight for Dinner, I think these are the last 2. Anyway they come frozen 6 (4 oz.) burgers. So I laid a couple of them in the fridge overnight to thaw. To prepare them I’ll be needing the Burgers, Extra Light Olive Oil, Salt and Pepper, al fresco Chicken Bacon, A-1 Thick and Hearty Steak Sauce, Kraft Deli Style Sharp Cheddar Cheese, and Healthy Life Wheat Hamburger Buns. The Bacon was already cooked I just heated it up a bit.

 

 

To prepare the Burgers I preheat a small amount of the Olive Oil in non-stick pan over medium heat. Add burgers, pan frying for 6-8 minutes per side or until internal temperature reaches 160°F. checked by a meat thermometer. After 4 minutes I flipped the Burgers and with 1 minute of cooking time left I added a 1/2 slice of the Cheese.

 

 

 

 

 

I served the Burgers on the Healthy Life Buns. I topped the Burgers with the al fresco Chicken Bacon and served! The Burger was delicious! Nicely seasoned and juicy! The Bacon and Cheese worked perfect. I guess I’ll have to have Beef a bit more often, good job Omaha Steaks!

Today’s Menu: Creamy Tomato Soup w/ Grilled Cheese Sandwich

 

 

For Breakfast this morning I had a toasted Thomas Light English Muffin that I topped with Smucker’s Sugar Free Blackberry Jam and I heated up a couple of Johnsonville Turkey Breakfast Sausages. I also had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Today it was miserable out. High of 48 degrees, gloomy, cloudy, and rainy all day! A good day to stay in and do nothing all day! And that’s what I did, a huge slug all day! And nothing sounded good for Dinner so I went to a Classic Comfort Food Dish, Creamy Tomato Soup w/ Grilled Cheese Sandwich.

 

I wanted something light tonight, too lazy to cook, so what better than Creamy Tomato Soup with a Grilled Cheese Sandwich. I heated up a can of Amy’s Organic Creamy Tomato Soup. My favorite Tomato Soup by far. I’ve been using for quite some time now. So creamy with a fantastic flavor and it’s 110 calories and 19 carbs. Just empty the contents into a small sauce pan and heat on medium, stirring often, until heated. And it’s ready to go and so good!

 

Then for my Grilled Cheese I’ll be using; Kraft Deli Deluxe Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Blue Bonnet Light Butter, and Aunt Millie’s Light Whole Grain Bread. Today’s Menu: Sharp Cheddar and Bacon Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries

 

To start my day off I had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. 39 degrees out this morning, a bit chilly out there! We had a high 58 degrees and sunny, beautiful Fall day! So after Tea I headed out to Meijer. With this Virus starting to get worse I thought I would go to Meijer and get a few stock items like Canned Goods, Frozen Items, Cleaning Supplies and Paper Products. Meijer was packed this morning, I guess everyone had the same Idea. Stopped and picked up Breakfast for Mom at McDonald’s. Back home Me and Mom both went to Walgreen’s and got our first Flu Shots! First one me or Mom had ever gotten. Love our local Walgreen’s, so friendly and helpful! Back home raked the front and side lawns. For Dinner tonight its a Sharp Cheddar and Chicken Bacon Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries.

 

So I started by getting a skillet and spraying it with Pam Non Stick Cooking Spray and heating it on medium heat. For the Bacon I’m using al fresco Uncured Chicken Bacon. It fries up perfect with an excellent taste. I buy it at Meijer, it’s the only store I’ve found to carry it. I need 2 slices but fried 5 slices. Always remember when frying Bacon use the Bacon Math. Just decide how many slices you’ll need and double it or so. Because, at least when I fry Bacon, you end up eating as much as you fix as you’re preparing it!

 

I had bought a package of the Jennie – O Lean 93% Lean Turkey Burger Patties at Meijer and had them in the freezer. I grabbed a couple of them last night and let it thaw in the fridge overnight. To prepare the Burger I grabbed a skillet sprayed it the Pam and added 2 teaspoons of Extra Light Olive Oil, heated it on medium heat. When ready I added the Turkey Burger and cooked it for 14 minutes flipping it several times. With a minute of cooking time left I added a slice of Kraft Deli Deluxe Sharp Cheddar Cheese. And done!

 

Added the Bacon, Lettuce, some Hellman’s Spicy Chipotle Mayonnaise and served it on a Healthy Life Wheat Bun. Just love these Burgers, juicy and delicious, and with the Sharp Cheddar and Bacon it makes it that much better! I love this Mayo, you have to try it! I tried the Hellman’s Spicy Chipotle Mayonnaise on the last Turkey Burger and loved it! It’s nice and Creamy with excellent flavor and a nice little kick to it!

 

I also baked some Ore Ida Crinkle Cut Fries. I just baked them for 19 minutes and done! Served them with a side of Hunt’s Ketchup. For Dessert later a Jello Sugar Free Dark Cherry Jello.

Then stopped by McDonald’s and picked up Breakfast for her. Back home I did a load of laundry and then outside to do some yard work. Got the cart, rake, shovel, and Leaf Blower out of the shed. Pulled up a couple of dead bushes on the side of the house. Then cleaned off the deck and driveway areas. For Dinner tonight its a Sharp Cheddar and Chicken Bacon Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries.

Today’s Menu: Chunky Baked Potato Soup with Cheddar and Bacon Bits w/ Grilled Cheese

 

 

 

For Breakfast I had a toasted Thomas Light English Muffin topped with Smucker’s Sugar Free Blackberry Jam and a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. 78 degrees and sunny out today. I went to Kroger after Breakfast and picked up Mom’s prescriptions for her and then stopped at McDonald’s and picked up Breakfast for her. Did a few things around the house and then got the cart out of the shed and enjoyed this beautiful day! For Dinner tonight it’s all Comfort Food! I prepared Chunky Baked Potato Soup with Cheddar and Bacon Bits w/ Grilled Cheese.

 

Not real hungry tonight and I wanted something a little lighter for Dinner and Potato Soup with a Grilled Cheese sounded pretty good! I’ve always loved Soup and the Campbell’s Chunky Baked Potato Soup with Cheddar and Bacon Bits is one om favorites! Another easy to prepare item; just empty the contents of the can into a sauce pan and heat. Heated it on medium low heat, stirring often. I love a thick and hearty Soup and this one is perfect. Campbell’s Chunky Baked Potato Soup with Cheddar and Bacon Bits is one of the best there is, at least to me.

Then for my Grilled Cheese I’ll be using; Kraft Sliced Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Blue Bonnet Light Butter, and Healthy Life Whole Grain Bread. I started by buttering the outside half of a slice of bread. Layered 2 slices of the Sharp Cheddar on top. Added my top half of the sliced bread, buttering the outside of the slice. I then got out a skillet, heated it up on medium heat and lightly coated it with a 1/2 pat of Butter. When the Butter was melted I added my sandwich. Grilled it on both sides until it was golden brown and the Cheese melted. For Dessert later a Jello Sugar Free Dark Cherry Jello.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Campbell’s Chunky Soup – Baked Potato with Cheddar and Bacon Bits

Campbell’s Cheddar and Bacon Bits Chunky soup satisfies hunger with big chunks of real baked potatoes and crisp bacon bits in a creamy soup base with cheddar cheese. Do not add water. Stove: Pour soup into medium saucepan. Heat slowly until hot, stirring occasionally. Microwave: Pour soup into medium microwave-safe bowl or 2 individual microwave-safe bowls. Cover; microwave on high for 3 1/2 minutes or until hot, stirring once during heating. Careful, keep covered 1 minute. Stir before serving. Promptly refrigerate any unused portion in separate container. Recommend use by date on can end. Store unopened can at room temperature.
