Turkey Burger and Gravy Sandwich
Topped with cabbage, carrots, celery and onions, this turkey burger recipe is piled HIGH with veggies. The baguette makes it great for dipping. Under 500 calories per serving and ready in under 30 minutes!

INGREDIENTS
1 (16-ounce) package JENNIE-O® Lean Seasoned Turkey Burger Patties
1 cup shredded Napa cabbage
½ cup shredded carrot
⅓ cup thinly sliced celery
¼ cup sliced red onion
¼ cup rice vinegar
2 tablespoons canola oil
salt and freshly ground pepper, if desired
4 small baguettes, split and toasted
½ cup turkey gravy, heated

DIRECTIONS
1) Cook turkey patties according to package directions. Always cook to well done, 165°F. as measured by a meat thermometer.
2) In medium bowl, combine cabbage, carrot, celery, onion, vinegar, oil, salt and pepper, if desired.
3) Place turkey patties on each baguette. Top with cabbage mixture. Serve with gravy, if desired.
* Always cook to an internal temperature of 165°F.

Southwest Pesto Turkey Burgers
Avocado? Salsa? PEPPER JACK CHEESE? These are the makings of an epic burger. The addition of cilantro pesto cinches it. Get ready for a tasty southwestern weeknight dinner that’s ready in under 30 minutes.

INGREDIENTS
1 (19-ounce) package JENNIE-O® Lean Seasoned Turkey Burger Patties
4 slices pepper jack cheese
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon prepared cilantro pesto
4 Kaiser rolls, split
1 ripe avocado, peeled and sliced
4 tablespoons CHI-CHI’S® salsa, divided

DIRECTIONS
1) Cook turkey patties as specified on the package. Always cook to well-done,165°F. as measured by a meat thermometer. Add cheese to patties during last minute of cooking.
2) While patties are cooking, combine mayonnaise and cilantro pesto in small bowl; mix well. Top cooked patties with mayonnaise mixture. Serve on rolls with avocado and salsa.
* Always cook to an internal temperature of 165°F.

Grilled Turkey Burger Supreme
When you’re in the mood for a great burger, nothing else will do. This recipe features pre-seasoned, pre-formed turkey burger patties, making your job easier than ever.

INGREDIENTS
1 (16-ounce) package JENNIE-O® Lean Seasoned Turkey Burger Patties
4 slices Provolone cheese
4 onion or bakery style hamburger buns, split and toasted or grilled, if desired
4 romaine lettuce leaves
4 slices tomato
4 slices red onion

DIRECTIONS
1) Prepare grill. Grill burgers as specified on the package. Always cook to well-done, 165°F as measured by a meat thermometer. Place cheese over patties during last minute of cooking.
2) On bun bottoms, layer lettuce leaves, grilled patties, tomato and onion; add bun top. Serve with condiments, if desired.
* Always cook to an internal temperature of 165°F.

Today’s Menu: Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries

 

 
For Breakfast this morning I toasted a couple of Eggo Waffles, topped them with I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter. Alsoturkey-burger-w-baked-fries-007 had my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Lot of rain overnight into the day today, even a thunderstorm overnight. Had a high around 57 degrees today. I managed to go to Kroger in between the rain showers. Picked up Breakfast at McDonald’s for Mom and Dad. Stopped and filled the car up with gas while the price was down. Back home after Lunch I installed a new Virus Protection and did some other work on some programs. For Dinner tonight its a Jennie – O Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries.

I using the Jennie – O Seasoned Turkey Burger Patties. I pan fried these using Extra Light Olive Oil and seasoned with McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Black Peppercorn. In a preheated, medium heat, medium-sized skillet I cooked the Burger for about 8 minutes per side, 165 degrees internal Burger temperature. And what a Burger! Meaty, juicy, and flavorful. Another excellent Jennie – O Turkey Product. I served it on a Aunt Millie’s Reduced Calorie Hamburger Bun and topped the Turkey Burger with some Heinz 57 Sauce.

 

 

Grilled Cheese and Baked Fries 003
To go with my Turkey Burger I baked some Alexia Organic Yukon Select Fries. Seasoned them with McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Black Peppercorn Medley. Baked them at 425 degrees for 16 minutes. They bake up beautifully and seasoned just right, excellent Shoestring Fry! Plus they are only 120 calories and 15 net carbs. I also reheated a couple of slices of Pillsbury French Bread that I had baked yesterday. For Dessert later a bowl of Dole Sliced Peaches.

An all-natural burger conveniently preseasoned with a touch of onion and garlic to reduce prep time.

STOVETOP METHOD:

Cook approximately 15-17 minutes, turning occasionally (2-3 times).
Always cook to well-done, 165°F. as measured by a meat thermometer.

Today’s Menu: Turkey Burger w/ Baked Fries

 
I toasted a Healthy Life Whole Grain English Muffin and a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea for Breakfast this morning. After that i did a load of laundry for Mom and then it was off to Costco, they open at 10:00 am. And if you need an electric cart like myself you have to get there before opening to get a cart, they only have 4 and 1 of those were broke this morning. It’s a shame a store as big as Costco can’t have more carts for the disabled and senior citizens!!

Came back home to get a few things done and then it was back out to see Dad at the rehab center. He fell this morning but wasn’t hurt bad. He’s not supposed to get up without calling the nurse to help! I took him some Chocolate Chip Cookies and Reese’s Cups up, his favorites. Back home and rested for a while, my leg has been giving some trouble from using it so much lately. Tomorrow will hopefully be a rest day, with only my right leg I can always tell if I’ve been using it lot. Anyway for dinner tonight I made me and Mom Turkey Burgers with Baked Crinkle Fries. I used the Turkey Burgers Jennie – O sent me yesterday, thank you again Jennie – O!
