Today’s Menu: Cast Iron Skillet Pizza – Turkey Pepperoni and Turkey Sausage

To start the morning off I toasted a Thomas Light English Muffin that I topped with Smucker’s Sugar Free Blackberry Jam. I also had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Cloudy and and a high of 31 degrees. I had to have my Mom out to Ross, Ohio at the CVS Drugstore. She got her 1st COVID Vaccination Shot. I’m really surprised that she got it, she’s been saying she was not getting one. Her friends talked her into it, they all got theirs this past Tuesday at the same place. I’m glad she did though, she’ll be 93 next month! I’m so lucky to still have around! Back home just did a few chores around the house. For Dinner tonight Cast Iron Skillet Pizza – Turkey Pepperoni and Turkey Sausage.

I had not made this in quite some time and a Pizza sounded good for tonight! Cast Iron Skillet Pizza, it uses my favorite piece of cookware, the Cast Iron Skillet, and it’s making one of my favorite foods, Pizza. I use Pillsbury Classic Pizza Crust when making my own Pizza. For my toppings I’m using; Hormel Turkey Pepperoni, Jennie – O Turkey Ground Sausage, Sliced Mushrooms, Sliced Black Olives, Sliced Green Olives, Sargento Shredded Mozzarella Cheese, and Ragu Original Pizza Sauce. Using a medium size Skillet, I fried the Jennie – O Turkey Ground Breakfast Sausage ahead of time. When that was done I drained what little grease there was and put the Sausage in a small bowl, and set aside.

I preheated the oven to 425 degrees. I then took out a large Cast Iron Skillet, spraying it with Pam Cooking Spray w/ Olive Oil and added a tablespoon of Extra Light Olive Oil. Got the tube of Pillsbury Pizza Crust from the fridge and removed it from the packaging. I then got a flour board out and added a little bit of flour and Cornmeal to it. I then took the Pizza Dough on it and formed a ball with it. Sprinkled on some Cornmeal and rolled it out and shaped it by hand I love that crunch texture Cornmeal gives the bottom of the Pizza Crust.

I added it to the Cast Iron Skillet and worked it out by hand, fully covering the bottom of the Skillet. I flipped the Dough Crust one time, that way I had a light coating of the Olive Oil on both sides.

Ready for the oven…

I then added my toppings; Hormel Turkey Pepperoni, Jennie – O Turkey Ground Sausage, Sliced Mushrooms, Sliced Black Olives, Sliced Green Olives, Sargento Reduced Fat Shredded Mozzarella Cheese, and Ragu Original Pizza Sauce. Slid that baby into the oven and wait for it to get done! Baked it a total of about 15 minutes.

It came bubbling hot and just flat out delicious! All the toppings and Sauce work great together, this makes one delicious Pizza. As all Pizzas you decide what toppings you want to use.

….and done!

Really enjoyed this. For Dessert later a Jello Sugar Free Dark Cherry Jello.

Today’s Menu: Turkey Pepperoni and Turkey Sausage Pita Bread Pizza

For Breakfast I prepared a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. 38 degrees and mostly cloudy out today. Then it was off to Kroger, Mom needed a couple of items. I was in and out of there by 6:45, trying to avoid the crowds. Did a load of laundry and then wiped down the microwave and all the counters and cabinets with Lysol Disinfectant Wipes. Did a few other light chores around the house. For Dinner tonight I prepared a Turkey Pepperoni and Turkey Sausage Pita Bread Pizzas.

I used Joseph’s Flax/Oat Bran and Stone Ground Whole Wheat Pita Bread for my Pizza Pie instead of regular Dough Pizza Pie. I love using Joseph’s Pita Breads, always fresh and they’re only 60 calories, 1.5 grams fat, and 5 net carbs! But I can only find them online so I have to order them now. A huge saving of calories and carbs over using normal Pizza Crust, without sacrificing taste. I preheated the oven on 400 degrees. To bake the Pita Pizzas I used a large Cookie Sheet. To prepare them I brushed them with a light coat of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, the coating of Oil browns it up just right. I then baked it for 5 minutes, just to brown it up a bit. Removed them from the oven and made my Pizzas.

For my toppings I used Ragu Homestyle Pizza Sauce, Jennie – O Lean Turkey Ground Breakfast Sausage, Hormel Turkey Pepperoni, Sliced Black and Green Olives, sliced Baby Bella Mushrooms, 2 Anchovies Fillets, and Sargento Reduced Fat Shredded Mozzarella Cheese.

It took less than 10 minutes in the oven until everything heated up and the Cheese melted. Pizza is served! Everything combined makes one delicious Pizza! And the good thing is you can load these Pita Bread Pizzas up with toppings and still not have a lot of calories and carbs, my type of Pizza! Bakes up ans tastes like a Thin-Crust Pizza. For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn and a Diet Dr. Pepper to drink.

Today’s Menu: Leftover – Banquet Homestyle Bakes Pizza Pasta w/ Cheesy Bread

For Breakfast this morning I prepared a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea.80 degrees and sunny out today! A perfect day out there today and our warmest in a while. Got the cart out early to get some yard work done, mainly raking leaves! My neighbor across the street from us has a huge tree in his front yard and it provides enough leaves to keep 6 houses busy raking leaves! After I was done, I took the cart out for a spin around the neighborhood. So I’m having the leftovers from the other night’s Dinner, Banquet Homestyle Bakes Pizza Pasta w/ Cheesy Bread. I never let these leftovers go to waste! I’ve left the original post from the other night for recipe description and directions. Take care all!

I Love this Pizza Pasta from Banquet and haven’t had it in a while! This is one of my favorite boxed foods, Banquet Homestyle Bakes Pizza Pasta. Nothing like a quick, easy and delicious comfort food. I can only find it at Walmart or online now.

Anyway it’s got two of my favorites in it, Pasta and Pizza! The box contains 1 can of Pizza Sauce w/ Pepperoni and Sausage and 1 Pouch of Rotini Pasta. I also added a few slices of Turkey Pepperoni and sliced Portabello Mushrooms to the mix. For the preparation you can bake it or prepare it on the stove top, which is how I prepared it. Add 1 cup of water, stir and mix, and simmer and you have your dinner! This came out fantastic! Really had a good Pizza flavor to it and excellent Sauce! The Sauce with the Mushrooms, Sausage, and Pepperoni provides the great flavoring. Easily prepared and makes a hearty and delicious meal. I know it’s a boxed meal, I can’t help it. It’s always been a favorite of mine since the first time I tried it!

Along with the Pizza Pasta I also prepared some Baked Cheesy Bread. I’ll be using Healthy Life Sour Dough Bread, Sargento Reduced Fat Shredded Mozzarella Cheese, Kraft Reduced Fat Grated Parmesan Cheese, and I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter. Just Butter the Bread and add your Cheese on top. Then bake on 400 degrees until the Bread is toasted and Cheese is melted. For Dessert later a Dole Diced Peach Cup.

Today’s Menu: Banquet Homestyle Bakes Pizza Pasta w/ Cheesy Bread

For Breakfast this morning I prepared a Skillet Diced Potatoes and Ham for Breakfast. I used 1 package of Simply Potatoes Steakhouse Seasoned Diced Potatoes and a package of Meijer Diced Ham to prepare it. Just cook the Potatoes according to the package instructions and with about 5 minutes of cooking time left add the Diced Ham. I topped it with a sprinkle of Sargento Off the Block Sharp Cheddar Cheese. I also had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. 71 degrees and sunny out, one beautiful day out there! After Breakfast I had to go to Home Depot. We needed a new Kitchen Sink Faucet. A local handyman that does a lot of the work here in the neighborhood will be installing it. Got the cart and leaf blower out of the shed and cleaned off the deck and driveway. Then took it around the house and cleaned out the flower beds. So for Dinner tonight I prepared Banquet Homestyle Bakes Pizza Pasta w/ Cheesy Bread.

Today’s Menu: Ancient Grain Mini Naan Bread Pizza – Turkey Pepperoni and Turkey Sausage

For Breakfast to start this morning off I made an Egg Beater’s Egg White Cheese Omelet, for the Cheese I used Sargento Off the Block Sharp Cheddar. I also toasted a slice of Aunt Millie’s Light Whole Grain Bread that I topped with Smucker’s Sugar Free Blackberry Jam. Had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. 85 degrees, passing rain showers, and humid out today. Its all indoor work today. Did a load of laundry, cleaned the house, and did a Pantry purge today. I straightened the Pantry and had a few expired items I pitched. So for Dinner tonight its a Ancient Grain Mini Naan Bread Pizza – Turkey Pepperoni and Turkey Sausage.

We love these Naan Bread Pizzas so much! These are so easy to fix and so delicious! I had a package of Stonefire Mini Naan Ancient Grain Bread in the freezer, laid it in the fridge overnight to thaw. For my toppings for the Pizza I’m using Hormel Turkey Pepperoni, Jennie – O Lean Turkey Sausage, Black Olives, Green Olives, Oscar Mayer Hickory Smoked Bacon Bits, Sargento Shredded Mozzarella Cheese, and Ragu Traditional Pizza Sauce. I love this Stonefire Mini Naan Ancient Grain Bread, it tastes so fresh and bakes up perfect!

I first Preheated the oven to 400 degrees. Next I grabbed a small skillet, sprayed it with Pam No Stick Cooking Spray, and heated it on medium heat. As the skillet was heating I opened up a roll of the Jennie – O Lean Turkey Sausage. I cut off a slice of it and crumbled up. Added it to the heated skillet and fried Sausage Crumbles. When they were browned and heated through, removed them from the skillet into a small bowl until ready to use.

With the oven preheated I lined the Naan Bread to the baking sheet and baked it for 2 minutes. When the Bread cooled I added the toppings on top. I started with the Ragu Pizza Sauce. Next slices of Hormel Turkey Pepperoni. Then the Jennie – O Turkey Sausage Crumbles, next the Black and Green Sliced Olives, Lite House Dried Oregano, Oscar Mayer Bacon Bits, and finally the Sargento Shredded Mozzarella Cheese. Slid the baking sheet back into the oven to bake.

I baked the Naan Bread Pizzas for about 8 minutes, until the ingredients had heated through and Cheese melted. Pull the baking sheet from the oven and let the Pizzas cool for 3 minutes. With the first bite you’ll know the Naan Bread is the perfect Pizza Crust! The Crust has excellent taste and bakes up perfect. Then with all my toppings had some great Pizzas. Plus a lot fewer calories and carbs than normal Pizza Pies. I keep a couple of packs of the Stonefire Mini Naan Ancient Grain Bread and keep them in the freezer. For Dessert/Snack later a 100 Calorie Bag of Snyder’s Pretzels with a Coke Zero to drink. Stay Safe and Take Care All!

Usually there will be a few without one but today everyone had one on. I sure hope we can get back to normal life soon! Back home did some yard work. Today’s Menu: Italian Pasta Salad with Rotisserie Chicken

To start this Sunday morning off I toasted a Thomas Light English Muffin that I topped with some Smucker’s Sugar Free Blackberry Jam. I also had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. It’s a hot one out there today! We had a heat index of 107 degrees. Light Rain and high winds came through in the late afternoon and cooled it off a bit. Not much going on today, did laundry and did a few things around the house. For Dinner tonight I prepared an Italian Pasta Salad with Rotisserie Chicken.

I prepared a Italian Pasta Salad, made about noon today. It always taste even better after chilled for a while. A Light and tasty dish that includes Ronzoni Garden Delight Tri Color Rotini Pasta, Black Olives, Kalamata Olives, Hormel Turkey Pepperoni, Anchovies, Kraft Reduced Fat Grated Parmesan Cheese, Kraft Zesty Italian Fat Free Dressing, McCormick Italian Seasoning. Prepared the Pasta according to the box and added all the ingredients and tossed until well mixed. Then refrigerated until ready to use.

Boiled the Pasta for 10 minutes and drained it. After it cooled I seasoned and added it with the Black Olives, Kalamata Olives, Hormel Turkey Pepperoni, Anchovies, Kraft Reduced Fat Grated Parmesan Cheese, Kraft Zesty Italian Fat Free Dressing, McCormick Italian Seasoning. I can’t wait to dig in!

While at Kroger yesterday I picked up a Kroger Rotisserie Whole Chicken. We love Rotisserie Chicken, delicious and easy to prepare. When it was time for Dinner I heated the oven on 325 degrees. Got a small baking pan and sprayed it with Pam Non Stick Cooking Spray. Took the Chicken out of the package and into the baking pan. Reheat it for 30 minutes. After the Chicken cooled a bit I pulled all the Chicken from the bones and it was ready to serve!

To serve made a bed of the Pasta and topped it with Kraft Reduced Fat Grated Parmesan Cheese and some more of the Kraft Zesty Italian Fat Free Dressing. The Pasta Salad and Rotisserie Chicken are a perfect combination. The Kraft Italian Dressing provides some great flavor for the Pasta and the Rotisserie Chicken was seasoned perfectly! I enjoy Simple and Delicious Meals so much! For Dessert later a Jello Sugar Free Dark Cherry Jello. Take Care and Stay Safe Everyone!

Today’s Menu: Ancient Grain Mini Naan Bread Pizza – Turkey Pepperoni and Turkey Sausage

For Breakfast to start this morning off I prepared Sausage links and Scrambled Eggs. I fried up a couple of Jennie – O Turkey Breakfast Sausage Links. Next I Scrambled a couple of eggs, topped them with a sprinkle of Sargento Off the Block Cheddar Cheese and Ortega Smoky Chipotle Taco Sauce. I love the Ortega Sauce, it gives food such excellent flavor. Also had my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. A whole lot cooler out today! It was 31 degrees this morning and a high of 46 degrees, it was a record high of 84 degrees 2 days ago! This Ohio weather is something! Still windy out there! I got the cart, rake, and leaf blower out and did some storm cleanup from the bad storm the other night. Lot of Tree Limbs and branches, leaves, and trash all over. I got my yard and helped 3 of my neighbors out cleaning theirs. I’m so glad I’ve got the 4 wheel mobility cart so I can do things like this! For Dinner tonight Ancient Grain Mini Naan Bread Pizza – Turkey Pepperoni and Turkey Sausage.

I first Preheated the oven on 400 degrees. When they were browned and heated through removed them from the skillet into a small bowl until ready to use.

Pulled the baking sheet from the oven and let the Pizzas cool for 3 minutes. With the first bite you’ll knew the Naan Bread is the perfect Pizza Crust! For Dessert later a Sugar Free Dark Cherry Jello.
