The first full weekend in October of each year brings thousands of people together to enjoy the free continuous live entertainment. The aroma of an endless variety of foods is there to enjoy while strolling the streets lined with booth after booth of quality crafts and home grown produce in the Farmer’s Market. Raffles, contests, a baked goods auction and a pet parade are just part of the many things to take in.

No better time in life to be alive than in the fall.. And in the fall is no better time to enjoy a wholesome and exciting craft festival celebrated on main street in Spring Valley, Ohio. Over 460 craft exhibitors, entertainment, and Sauerkraut…served in many traditional and some VERY unusual ways!

Sauerkraut, it’s not just for breakfast anymore!  Because with this festival, you can have sauerkraut for breakfast, lunch and dinner!  Even dessert if you want!  Sauerkraut ice cream is just one of MANY sauerkraut food versions available at this long running festival!  We could do the Bubba Gump thing with sauerkraut….sauerkraut balls…. sauerkraut pizza….sauerkraut fudge….get the idea?  Literally TONS of sauerkraut will be used for this festival!

Now in it’s 42nd year, the Ohio Sauerkraut Festival will swell downtown Waynesville to it’s highest levels of the year!  Literally, hundreds of thousands of people will visit this popular event featuring sauerkraut, and hundreds of arts and crafts vendors, about 450 from 28 different states!

While at the festival…be sure to visit the SHOPS OF WAYNESVILLE!
