Corn-Sausage Chowder
With plenty of meat and potatoes, this delicious down-home soup makes a satisfying meal in a bowl.

Recipe Ingredients:
1 pound bulk pork sausage
1 cup coarsely chopped onion
4 cups peeled potatoes cut in 1/2-inch cubes
2 cups water
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram, crushed
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1 (17-ounce) can cream-style corn
1 (17-ounce) can whole-kernel corn, drained
1 (12-ounce) can evaporated milk

Cooking Directions:
1 – In a Dutch oven or kettle, cook the pork sausage and onion until the sausage is brown and the onion is tender. Drain mixture on paper towels.
2 – Return sausage mixture to Dutch oven. Stir in potatoes, water, salt, marjoram, and pepper. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, about 15 minutes or until potato is just tender.
3 – Add the cream-style corn, whole-kernel corn, and the evaporated milk. Heat through.
Makes 6 servings.

Easy Corn Chowder
Cream-style corn and frozen diced hash browns put the ‘easy’ in this hearty corn chowder.

Recipe Ingredients:
6 bacon slices, cooked and crumbled
2 (17-ounce) cans cream-style corn
4 cups milk
3 cups frozen diced hash brown potatoes
3 green onions, chopped
1 teaspoon salt or to taste
Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Cooking Directions:
1 – Combine first 5 ingredients in heavy medium saucepan.
2 – Simmer over medium heat until soup is slightly thickened, stirring occasionally.
3 – Season with salt and pepper and serve.
Makes 4 servings.

Slow Cooker Corn Casserole

Slow Cooker Corn Casserole is the cream of the comfort food crop! It’s a fluffy, buttery mix of corn muffin, creamed corn, cheddar cheese, and green chilis sprinkled with jalapeño turkey bacon. Just toss the ingredients in the slow cooker and brace your appetite for serious satisfaction! It’ll be east to hibernate through the winter with this on your plate!


1 (8.5-ounce) package corn muffin mix
2 eggs or ½ cup egg substitute
½ cup sour cream
1 (14 ¾-ounce) can cream-style corn
1 (10-ounce) package frozen corn kernels
1 (4-ounce) can chopped green chiles, undrained
¼ cup melted butter
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
4 slices JENNIE-O® Lower Sodium Turkey Bacon made with Sea Salt


1) In lightly greased slow cooker, stir together corn muffin mix, eggs, sour cream, corn, chiles, butter and Cheddar cheese. Cook, covered on HIGH 4 hours or LOW 6 -8 hours.
2) Cook turkey bacon as specified on the package. Always cook to well-done, 165°F as measured by a meat thermometer. Chop bacon and sprinkle over corn casserole.
* Always cook to an internal temperature of 165°F.
