Today’s Menu: Bison Chopped Steak w/ Cut Green Beans – Potatoes and Light Texas Toast

For Breakfast this morning I prepared a Poached Egg and served it on a slice of Aunt Millie’s Light Whole Grain Bread. Also had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Had a few flurries out today, nothing major. High of 33 degrees and cloudy. After Breakfast I went to the new Kroger up the road, really like the bigger store and added selections just wish the prices were lower. For Dinner tonight I prepared a Bison Chopped Steak w/ Cut Green Beans – Potatoes and Light Texas Toast.

For Dinner tonight it’s one of my favorites, the SayersBrook Ranch Bison Chopped Sirloin Steak. I love this Chopped Steak. To start I preheated the oven on 400 degrees. To prepare it I’ll need McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Peppercorn Medley, McCormick Crushed Rosemary, and McCormick Thyme Leaves (all seasoning to taste). I got the Cast Iron Skillet out to prepare it. I first sprayed it with a very light coat of Pam Cooking Spray and then added a tablespoon of Extra Light Olive Oil. Heated it on medium heat. When the pan was heated I added the Chopped Steak. I cooked each side 2 minutes. Then finished it in the oven, at 400 degrees for 7 minutes. It cooked up beautifully, perfect medium rare! Had a nice little char on the outside and moist and juicy inside. These are so tender you could slice them with a spoon and have an excellent taste to them.

For one side I heated up a can of Del Monte Cut Green Beans and Potatoes. I really like using the Del Monte Cut Green Beans and New Potatoes, contains 2 of my favorite vegetables (Green Beans and Potatoes). Plus both work perfect with the Bison! To prepare it just empty the can into a small sauce pan and heat until heated through. I also baked a slice of the New York Bakery Light Texas Toast. For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn and a Coke Zero to drink.

Today’s Menu: Kitchen is closed today!

I had to fast this morning. I had to be at the doctor’s office for my 4 month check up for Cholesterol, sugar and all the vitals. 30 degrees and flurries outside this morning. 35 degrees and cloudy for the day. I normally don’t eat out but I told Mom I would take her out to eat for Dinner the day I go for my check up. So tonight I took her to Outback Steakhouse. We both had the Sirloin Steak Dinner. Sorry no pictures, I don’t like taking pictures in restaurants. Kitchen back open tomorrow. Enjoy all, later!

Hand-Chopped Steak Burgers with Caramelized Fennel
Chopping steak instead of using ground beef to make these healthy burgers gives them a more toothsome texture. Come summer, give this a cooler spin by tossing the raw fennel with 2 tablespoons vinegar and 1 tablespoon oil to serve alongside………

Puttanesca Pork Chops
This flavorful pork chop dinner recipe is proof that bold Neapolitan puttanesca sauce can liven up more than just spaghetti. Unlike brined olives like Kalamatas, oil-cured olives have a meatier bite because they’re coated in salt then macerated in oil. Look for them on olive bars or with other Italian products. Serve with sautéed broccoli rabe and whole-wheat orzo……….

Slow-Cooker Braised Beef with Carrots and Turnips
The spice blend in this healthy beef stew recipe—cinnamon, allspice and cloves—may conjure images of apple pie, but the combo is a great fit in savory applications too. Serve over creamy polenta or buttered whole-wheat egg noodles…………

Today’s Menu: Bison Chopped Steak w/ Cut Green Beans – Potatoes and Light Texas Toast

Started my day off with a Poached Egg, toasted 2 slices of Aunt Millie’s Light Whole Grain Bread (lightly buttered), and a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Still adjusting to our life without Dad around. It seems to hurt less each day. I had to have Mom at her family doctor at 9:15 this morning. She had to get a check up and an EKG. Mom goes next week to have Cataract Removal on her left eye. She goes back in 2 weeks to have the right eye done. Afterward I took Mom to the Gordon Food Service Store. Back home I did some work around the yard and shed.

Today’s Menu: Bison Chopped Steak w/ Cut Green Beans – Potatoes and Light Texas Toast

Started my day off with a Poached Egg, heated up a couple of Johnsonville Turkey Breakfast Sausage Links, toasted 2 slices of Aunt Millie’s Light Whole Grain Bread (lightly buttered), and a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Just wondering if Spring will ever stay in Ohio! We had about 3 or 4 days of 70 degrees plus and now it’s around 32 degrees with a light snow and rain mix! Everyone is ready for that Spring Time Weather! So not much I can do outside so I cleaned the house. Then later cleaned the refrigerator, microwave, and stove. Wasn’t able to go see Dad today with the rain and light snow out. For Dinner tonight I prepared a Bison Chopped Steak w/ Cut Green Beans – Potatoes and Light Texas Toast.

Today’s Menu: Bison Chopped Sirloin Steak w/ Hash Browns and Cut Green Beans

For Breakfast this morning I prepared Skillet Potatoes and Ham for Breakfast. I used 1 package of Simply Potatoes Steakhouse Seasoned Diced Potatoes and a package of Meijer Diced Ham to prepare it. Just cook the Potatoes according to the package instructions and with about 5 minutes of cooking time left add the Diced Ham. Topped it off with a Sunnyside Up Egg and also made that morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Mom went to Church and I stayed home and did a few things around the house. Mom had some Homemade Chili Soup in the freezer she had prepared and froze. It’d Dad’s favorite so I grabbed a container and heated it up for Dad’s Dinner tonight. I took over to the rehab unit about 5:00 to him. Mom had some to and had Dinner over there with him. For my Dinner I prepared a Bison Chopped Sirloin Steak w/ Hash Browns and Cut Green Beans.

I cooked each side 4 minutes. Then finished it in the oven, at 400 degrees for 5 minutes. It cooked up beautifully, perfect medium rare! Had a nice little char on the outside and moist and juicy inside. These have an excellent taste to them and cook up beautifully, another very good item from SayersBrook Ranch! I topped the Chopped Steak with some A-1 Sauce Thick/Hardy. Also cooked up some Sauteed Mushrooms.

As the Chopped Steak was cooking I heated up another skillet for my Hash Browns. Sprayed the skillet with Pam Cooking Spray and added a tablespoon of Olive Oil, I use Berolli Extra Light Olive Oil. With the skillet heated I fried up the Simply Potatoes Hash Browns. Seasoned them with Sea Salt and Ground Black Pepper. I love all the Simply Potatoes products! I topped these with a sprinkle of Sargento Reduced Fat Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese.

For another side I heated a can of Del Monte Cut Green Beans. To prepare them just empty the can into a small sauce pan and simmer until heated. I love the taste of these, just season with a bit of Sea Salt and it’s ready! Love these Bison Chopped Steaks from SayersBrook! For Dessert later a Weight Watcher’s Cookies and Cream Ice Cream Bar.

Today’s Menu: Bison Chopped Sirloin Steak w/ Oven Fries and Baked Whole Grain Loaf Bread

For Breakfast this morning I prepared 2 Jennie – O Turkey Breakfast Sausage Links, Simply Potatoes Shredded Hash Browns, toasted a slice of Healthy Life Whole Grain Bread, and made a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Well 001yesterday morning I had went for my 4 month check up at the family doctor and he gave me a heads up on what Medicare might be doing, and it’s not good! Forcing Flu Shots, full Eye Exams, and few other things that you must have done or face a penalty of some sort. He said doctors are fighting this, As I will be also!! I don’t need anyone, especially the government, telling me how to take care of myself! He said hopefully President Trump is going to look at this and repel it, hope so I’m not happy at all over this. Anyway later in the day I went up and seen Dad at the rehab center. He’s doing real good and there’s a possibility he could be home earl next week! So for my Dinner tonight its a Bison Chopped Sirloin Steak w/ Oven Fries and Baked Whole Grain Loaf Bread.

bison-chopped-sirloin-steak-w-baked-steak-fries-002

I love this SayersBrook Bison Ranch – Bison Chopped Sirloin Steak! I had ordered some more packages of it along with some more of the SayersBrook Elk Burger Patties, another new favorite of mine, a while back and had them in the freezer. I got one of them out of the freezer and let it thaw overnight in the fridge.

I preheated the oven on 400 degrees. To prepare them I’ll need McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Peppercorn bison-chopped-sirloin-steak-w-baked-steak-fries-003Medley, McCormick Crushed Rosemary, and McCormick Thyme Leaves (all seasoning to taste). I got the Cast Iron Skillet out to prepare these. I first sprayed it with a very light coat of Pam Cooking Spray and then added a tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Heated it on medium heat. Had a nice little char on the outside and moist and juicy inside. These have an excellent taste to them and cook up beautifully, another very good item from SayersBrook Ranch! I topped the Chopped Steak with some A-1 Sauce Thick/Hardy.

For a side I prepared some Alexia Oven Fries with Olive Oil, Rosemary and Garlic. I think this is the first time I tried 004_cropthese. I picked a couple of bags of these up at Jungle Jim’s International Market on my last visit there. They are already seasoned with Olive Oil, Rosemary and Garlic. I also seasoned them with some Morton’s Lite Salt. They baked up perfectly and tasted great, as all the Alexia Potato Products. I also baked a LaBrea Bakery Whole Grain Loaf Bread. For Dessert /Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop Popcorn.

For Breakfast this morning I scrambled a couple of Eggs, fried 2 Eckrich Smoked Turkey Sausage Links, and toasted bison-chopped-sirloin-steak-w-baked-steak-fries-0062 slices of Healthy Life Whole Grain Bread. I also had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. After Breakfast we had to drop Mom’s car off for an oil change. While we waited on that we went over to Jungle Jim’s International Groceries. Love shopping there, they have everything including the best Deli, Produce Dept., and Seafood Dept. I’ve ever seen! You could spend all day there and still not see everything, but we only had about an hour. Took Mom back over to pick her car up and back home after stopping for gas. It’s another fairly warm day for the end of November, 57 degrees but cloudy. Got the leaf blower out and cleaned up some leaves around the deck and driveway. For Dinner tonight its a Bison Chopped Sirloin Steak w/ Baked Steak Fries.

For Breakfast this morning I scrambled a couple of Eggs and toasted 2 slices of Healthy Life Whole Grain Bread. I also had a cup og Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. After Breakfast I went to Kroger for a couple of items and stopped by McDonald’s to pick up Breakfast for Mom and Dad. What a beautiful Fall Day out there today! Mostly Sunny and 65 degrees. Got a few things done around the house and got the cart out afterward. Took a couple of spins around the neighborhood and then down by the lake, very relaxing! For Dinner tonight I prepared a Bison Chopped Sirloin Steak w/ Baked Steak Fries.
