Today’s Menu: Baked Chicken Wings w/ Baked Fries and Light Texas Toast

Just a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea for Breakfast. Dealing with some bad Sinus Headaches today. I haven’t felt real good the couple of days. Hopefully better tomorrow. For Dinner tonight its Baked Chicken Wings w/ Baked Fries and Light Texas Toast.

I’m using Kroger Oven Roasted Chicken Wings. I started by heating the oven on 425 degrees F., same temperature I’ll need for my Fries and Texas Toast. I took a small Baking Sheet and lined it with foil. Then sprayed it with Pam Non Stick Cooking Spray. Spread the Wings out across the sheet and baked them for 33 minutes, turning them once after 17 minutes. I love Wings, and these are excellent Wings! Served them with Dipping Sauces of Hidden Valley Buffalo/Ranch Dressing and Litehouse Light Blue Cheese Dressing.

With the oven already heated I baked my Fries. I used Ore Ida Crinkle Cut Fries. Like all the Ore Ida Products, they are easy to prepare and delicious. I just baked them for 19 minutes and done! Served them with a side of Hunt’s Ketchup.

I also baked up some slices of New York Bakery Light Texas Toast. For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn and a Diet Peach Snapple to drink.

Slow “Roasted” Tomatoes
There’s nothing more delicious than tomatoes roasted with tart balsamic vinegar and fragrant herbs. Before serving, remove the tomatoes from the slow cooker and be sure to allow a full ten minutes for the cheesy breadcrumb topping to soak into each savory tomato half…………

Slow-Cooker Sichuan Chicken with Scallions and Baby Bok Choy
Sichuan peppercorns give this brothy slow-cooker chicken dish a distinctive lemony, mouth-numbing flavor. Unrelated to peppercorns, they’re the dried berries of the prickly ash tree. Look for them in specialty markets and online. If you’ve never had them before, try one first and add more or less to taste. Serve with sesame baby bok choy (which takes just a few minutes to prep) and Chinese noodles for an easy, healthy dinner that’ll get you out of your same-old-chicken-dish rut………………..

Thai Chicken Wings with Peanut Sauce
Chicken wings are great for game night and a perfect appetizer for a party, but don’t get stuck in the rut of always serving BBQ wings. Add variety to game nights with this easy slow-cooker recipe for Thai wings with peanut sauce—and BBQ wings may just become a thing of the past!……….

Today’s Menu: Baked Chicken Wings w/ Baked Fries and Light Texas Toast

It’s one foggy morning out there this morning. I can see the house next door and that’s about it. For Breakfast this morning I heated up a Jimmy Dean Turkey Sausage, Egg White, and Cheddar Cheese Breakfast Scramble Cup. Also had a cup of of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. After Breakfast I went to the Kroger up the road to pick up a Prescription for Mom and a few items she needed. Then stopped by McDonald’s and picked up Breakfast for her, she loves those McDonald’s Breakfasts! Got the leaf blower out and cleaned off the deck and driveway areas. Then spent most of the afternoon on the phone with a computer problem, finally got it fixed but it took a while! For Dinner tonight I prepared Baked Chicken Wings w/ Baked Fries and Light Texas Toast.

Why not an American Favorite Food on Labor Day! For the Wings I’m using Kroger Oven Roasted Chicken Wings. Today’s Menu: Dry Rub BBQ Chicken Wings and Baked Crinkle Cut Fries

For Breakfast on this Monday Morning I Scrambled a couple of Eggs, toasted a Healthy Life Whole Grain English Muffin, and had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. It’s 85 degrees and humid again outside rain moving in later. I was on the phone most of the day, We are in the process of moving Dad to a different Long Term Care Facility. We are not happy with the care that Dad receives. He’s not mistreated or anything like that but the Center is understaffed and the Food is pretty bad. So we’ve found a different place for him. Hope it all works out. For Dinner tonight I prepared Dry Rub BBQ Chicken Wings and Baked Crinkle Cut Fries. It’s Freezer Week Dinners for this week. The freezer is getting a little full. You buy an item and it gradually gets pushed back by other items bought and slowly becomes a “Forgotten Freezer Item” So this week I’m digging through the freezer for my meals this week. Tonight Wings and Fries.

I prepared some of the Kroger Dry Rub BBQ Chicken Wings. I really enjoy these Kroger Brand Wings! they 3 or 4 different types of Seasoned Wings. I like these and the Buffalo Wings. I’ll be baking these, I preheated the oven to 425 degrees. Used a baking sheet, lined it with foil and sprayed it with Pam Non Stick Cooking Spray. I lined the Wings up on the foil and seasoned them with the BBQ Dry Rub that came with the Wings. I then baked them for 17 minutes, flipping them over after 8 minutes. These turned out to be an excellent Wing! Excellent BBQ Dry Rub. Served these with a side of Litehouse Light Blue Cheese Dressing.

To go with my Wings I prepared some Ore Ida Golden Crinkle Cut French Fries. Like all the Ore Ida Products, they are easy to prepare and delicious. I just baked them for 19 minutes and done! Served them with a side of Hunt’s Ketchup. For Dessert later a Jello Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Pudding topped with Cool Whip Free.

Kitchen Hint of the Day!

Love those Wings……….

Making Wings for your next get together – Serving wing sauces on the side allows your family or guests to make the choice, plus it removes one more step for you to do and it keeps the wings crispier longer. Also a time saver; Chicken wings can be baked or steamed ahead of time, then fried, grilled, or broiled at the last minute to get them crispy.

Kitchen Closed – Buffalo Wings and Rings tonight!

For Breakfast this morning I toasted a Healthy Life Whole Grain English Muffin and topped it with Smucker’s Sugar Free Blackberry Jam. Also had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. 40 degrees out this morning with rain showers. We had a high of 50 degrees! The rain and warmer temps are melting the snow and all the salt off everywhere. I went to McDonald’s and picked up Breakfast for Mom and Dad. Mom went to Church and I stayed home to keep an eye on Dad. His health and mind continue to fade. Not much we can do. Not much else going on today. Last minute change of menu. Kitchen is closed and it was Wings and Rings tonight! Some old friends I had not seen in at least 10 years called and wanted me to meet them at a local restaurant, Buffalo Wings and Rings. It just opened up a couple of months ago. It was great to see everyone and the Food was fantastic! We had Wings and watched some Football Kitchen will reopen tomorrow! Take care all!
