Today’s Menu: Tuna Cheesy Pasta w/ Dinner Rolls

Just a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea to start the morning off. 87 degrees, humid and partly cloudy outside today. Well the Cicadas are out here around the neighborhood! The house across the street had quite a few already. After Lunch I took Mom over to the Dollar Store and then by Walmart. She wanted a couple of new bushes for the back side of the house. Back home I did a few chores around the house. Really getting humid out there today. For Dinner tonight I prepared Tuna Cheesy Pasta w/ Dinner Rolls.

I bought a box of Betty Crocker Tuna Helper Tuna Cheesy Pasta at Meijer the other day and it just sounded good for Dinner tonight. I’ve fixed many of the Helper styles before, first time we had the Tuna in a while. To make the Dish I’ll need; 1 Box of Tuna Helper, Water, 2% Milk, Butter, and 2 cans of Chicken of the Sea Tuna.

So to prepare it is very easy. I start by stirring the Pasta, Sauce Mix, Hot Water, Milk, Butter, and Tuna  in 10-inch skillet. I heat to  to boiling. Then I reduced the heat. Covered and simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender. Then I uncovered it and cooked, while stirring, an additional 3 minutes. Done and ready to serve!

Good Dinner and so easy to prepare! Pasta was excellent with a lot good Cheese and the Tuna was perfect with the Noodles. The Dish is 280 calories and 21 net carbs per serving. I also heated up some of Aunt Millie’s Live Carb Smart Dinner Rolls. These are great for those of us with Diabetes 2, or for anyone who loves good rolls. The Rolls are only 35 calories and 1 carb per roll! That’s right 1 net Carb per roll! So a big thank you to Aunt Millie’s for these! For Dessert later a Jello Sugar Free Dark Cherry Jello.

Today’s Menu: Tuna Helper Tuna Cheesy Pasta and Rustic Sesame Loaf Bread

To start this Saturday morning off I opened up a can of Turkey Spam. I sliced off 3 slices and fried it up in a 1/2 tablespoon of Extra Light Olive Oil. Next using the same skillet I Scrambled up a couple of Eggs, when done topped them with a sprinkle of Sargento 4 Month Aged Off the Block Gouda Cheese and some Ortega Smoked Chipotle Taco Sauce. Then I toasted a slice of Aunt Millie’s Light Whole Grain Bread and a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Excellent Breakfast! 46 degrees and cloudy out today, with snow coming in tomorrow along with a Artic Freeze!. Afterward I did a load of laundry. Then after Lunch I got the cart, leaf blower, and rake out of the shed. I cleaned up around the house, flowerbeds, deck, and driveway areas. Feels good to get outside! For Dinner tonight I prepared a Tuna Helper Tuna Cheesy Pasta and Rustic Sesame Loaf Bread.

I came across a box of Betty Crocker Tuna Helper Tuna Cheesy Pasta at Jungle Jim’s the other day and it just sounded good. I’ve fixed many of the Helper styles before, first time for the Tuna. To make the Dish I’ll need; 1 Box of Tuna Helper, Water, 2% Milk, Butter, and 2 cans of Chicken of the Sea Tuna.

To prepare it I started by heating oven to 425 degrees. Stir Pasta, Sauce Mix, 11/2 cups boiling Water, 2 cups 25 Milk, 3 Tbsp. Blue Bonnet Light Butter and the Tuna in ungreased 2-quart casserole. Cover it with some aluminum foil and bake about 35 minutes or until pasta is tender. Uncover carefully; stir. (Sauce will thicken as it cools.)

This came out an excellent dish! The Pasta was great, very good Cheese, and the Tuna worked perfect with Pasta. Plenty of Leftovers for a few Lunches! I also baked the other half of the Rustic Sesame Loaf Bread from the other night. For Dessert later a bowl of Breyer’s Carb Smart Vanilla Bean Ice Cream topped with Smucker’s Sugarless Hot Fudge Topping.

Today’s Menu: Baked Tuna Casserole w/ Whole Grain BreadTuna Noodle Casserole 004

I hope everyone else is having a better stretch of weather than what we are having. I’m glad the warm weather is here but we always seem to get the humidity with it, and that’s not good. Did anyone watch the guy tightrope across the Grand Canyon last night? Nerves of steel! For dinner I baked a Tuna Casserole and had some sliced Whole Grain Bread with it. Nice light dinner tonight.

I used a box of Walmart Brand Great Value Cheesy Tuna Skillet Meal as my base for the Casserole. It came with Pasta and a Cheesy Sauce Mix. I added a can of Chicken of the Sea Light Chunk Tuna in Water (10 oz.), 1 1/2 cups Water, 2 cups 2% Milk, 3 tbsp. Blue Bonnet Light Stick Butter, a couple of shakes of Hungarian Paprika, and Progresso Italian Style Bread Crumbs. I mixed all those ingredients up in a 2 qt. baking dish, except the Bread Crumbs which I added to the top of the mix. I then covered it with aluminum foil and baked it at 425 degrees for about 37 minutes. It really came out very good! Nice and creamy, hearty dish. I also had a couple of slices of Healthy Life Whole Grain Bread topped with I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter. For dessert later a Healthy Choice Chocolate Swirl Frozen Yogurt.
