Today’s Menu: Bacon Blue Buffalo Burger w/ Baked Fries

 

 

For Breakfast this morning I made some Simply Potatoes Shredded Hash Browns, Heated up some Meijer Diced Ham, fried an Egg Sunnyside Up, made a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. I made a bed of the Hashbrowns in a bow and sprinkled some Sargento Reduced Fat Sharp Cheddar Cheese. Next I put the Diced Ham over top the Hash Browns then put the Sunnyside Up Egg on to top it off! One delicious Breakfast! Outside partly cloudy and 84 degrees. Took Mom’s car up to be washed and the inside cleaned. Then stopped by the bank. Next took my car up to have it washed and stopped and got gas. Not a lot going on today, watched some College Football. For Dinner tonight a Bacon Blue Buffalo Burger w/ Baked Fries.

 

 

I’m having another one of the Wild Idea Buffalo – BACON BLUE BURGER. I’ve had a couple of these now and love them! This time I’m adding a couple of slices of Simple Truth Hickory Smoked Bacon. Love these new Wild Idea Buffalo Products. It comes frozen and there’s 3 – 1/3 lb. Burger Patties. The Premium Ground Buffalo is mixed with Wild Idea Buffalo Bacon, Blue Cheese, and seasoning. I’ll be preparing it as I do all Wild Idea Buffalo Burgers.

 

 

 

 

To prepare it I’ll need; Wild Idea Buffalo – BACON BLUE BURGER, McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Black Peppercorn, Simple Truth Hickory Smoked Bacon (2 slices), Jack Daniel’s Honey Smokehouse BBQ Sauce, and a Aunt Millie’s Reduced Calorie Whole Grain Hamburger Bun.

 

 

 

 

To start it I seasoned it with the McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Black Peppercorn, lightly seasoned. I then pan fried it, on medium heat, in Extra Light Virgin Olive Oil about 4 minutes per side. Buffalo gets done rather quickly due to it’s so lean. As the Burger was cooking I fried the 2 slices of the Simple Truth Hickory Smoked Bacon. To serve the Burger I grabbed the Bun and added the Burger, topped it with some of the BBQ Sauce, and topped it with the Bacon. Every bite you can taste the Bacon and the Blue Cheese and there was bits of the Buffalo Bacon throughout the Burger. The added Bacon worked great! This Burger is quickly becoming a favorite! Just a flat out excellent Burger!

 

 

Then for a side I baked some Alexia Organic Yukon Select Fries. Seasoned them with McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Black Peppercorn Medley. Baked them at 425 degrees for 16 minutes. They bake up beautifully and seasoned just right! Plus they are only 120 calories and 15 net carbs. Served them with a sprinkle of Crumbled Blue Cheese on top. For dessert later a Weight Watcher’s Cookies and Cream Ice Cream Bar.

For Breakfast this morning I made some Simply Potatoes Shredded Hash Browns, fried an Egg Sunnyside Up, toasted a couple of slices of Aunt Millie’s Light Whole Grain Bread, and made a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Mostly cloudy today and a high around 75 degrees. Not feeling up to par today, had those Phantom Pains throughout the night. They finally ended around 10:00 this morning. Got a few things done around the house then I caught up on some sleep. For Dinner tonight a new Buffalo Burger from Wild Idea Buffalo! I prepared a Bacon, Blue, Cheese, and Egg Buffalo Burger w/ Hash Browns.

 

 

I’m having another of the Wild Idea Buffalo – BACON BLUE BURGER. I tried this for the first time last week and could not wait to this Buffalo Burger again! This time I’m dressing it up a bit more. Adding Cheese, a fried Egg, and A-1 Sauce! It’s another new Wild Idea Buffalo Product. It comes frozen and there’s 3 – 1/3 lb. Burger Patties. The Premium Ground Buffalo is mixed with Wild Idea Buffalo Bacon, Blue Cheese, and seasoning. I’ll be preparing it as I do all Wild Idea Buffalo Burgers.

 

 

 

To prepare it I’ll need McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Black Peppercorn, a slice of Kraft Deli Deluxe Sharp Cheddar Cheese, 1 Egg, Jack Daniel’s Honey Smokehouse BBQ Sauce, and a Aunt Millie’s Reduced Calorie Whole Grain Hamburger Bun.

 

 

 

 

To start it I seasoned it with McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Black Peppercorn, lightly seasoned. I then pan fried it, on medium heat, in Extra Light Virgin Olive Oil about 3 1/2 minutes per side. Buffalo gets done rather quickly due to it’s so lean. After flipping it I added the slice of Sharp Cheddar with about 1 minute of cooking time left. As the Burger was cooking I fried my Egg in another skillet. The Egg got done as the Burger was finishing.

 

 

 

To serve the Burger I grabbed the Bun and on the bottom Bun added the Burger, topped it with some of the BBQ Sauce, and topped it with the Egg and the top Bun. This Burger is loaded and ready! Like the first time I tried this Burger there was nice bites containing the Blue Cheese and there was bits of the Buffalo Bacon throughout the Burger. The added Cheese, Egg, and BBQ Sauce sent this one into another level!It’s a bit messy after the Egg Yoke starts to flow but well worth it! First time I prepared a Buffalo Burger topped with an Egg, and not the last! I love all the Wild Idea Buffalo Products but this one is quickly becoming a favorite! Just a flat out excellent Burger!

 

Then for a side I prepared some Simply Potatoes Shredded Hash Browns. Seasoned them with Salt and Pepper and served them sprinkled with Sargento Reduced Fat Shredded Sharp Cheddar. For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn and Diet Peach Snapple to drink.

Today’s Menu: Bacon Blue Buffalo Burger w/ Baked Fries

Well another new item from the folks at Wild Idea Buffalo, the Wild Idea Buffalo – BACON BLUE BURGER (3 BURGER PER LB). If you follow my blog you know I love Buffalo (Bison) and use it when ever I can. My favorite brand is the Wild Idea Buffalo. The best Buffalo Steaks and Burgers that I’ve found! They have been coming out with some new Buffalo Products of late and I’m trying the Bacon Blue Buffalo Burger. It comes frozen and there’s 3 – 1/3 lb. Burger Patties. The Premium Ground Buffalo is mixed with Wild Idea Buffalo Bacon, Blue Cheese, and seasoning. I’ll be preparing it as I do all Wild Idea Buffalo Burgers.

I think next time I may top it off with some Wild Idea Buffalo Bacon and some Smucker’s Sugarless Blackberry Jam. But a great Burger from Wild Idea Buffalo!

Today’s Menu: Montgomery Inn Pulled Pork BBQ Sandwich w/ Baked Fries

 

 

It was Toast and Gravy along with Turkey Sausage Links for Breakfast. I prepared a packet of Pioneer Peppered White Gravy, my favorite. Then I toasted a couple of slices of Aunt Millie’s Light Whole Grain Bread. I also fried up a couple of Jennie – O Turkey Breakfast Sausage Links and made a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Good Breakfast to start my day! After Breakfast I did a load of laundry. Outside its mostly sunny and a high of 82 degrees low humidity. After Lunch I got the cart out of the shed and did some yard work. For dinner tonight I prepared a Montgomery Inn Pulled Pork BBQ Sandwich w/ Baked Fries.

 

 

When it’s Pulled Pork BBQ Sandwiches it’s always Montgomery Inn Hardwood Smoked Pulled Pork with BBQ Sauce. Montgomery Inn is one of the original Barbecue and Ribs Restaurant in the Cincinnati area. It has some of the finest BBQ food anywhere! They also sell their Ribs and Pulled Pork and Chicken at all Kroger. So when it’s Pulled Pork I almost always use the Montgomery Inn brand. Anyway you just heat it in a medium sauce pan until it’s warmed and you have BBQ. It’s the perfect combination of the Pork and the mouth watering Montgomery Inn Sauce that makes this so delicious! Plus it’s only 110 calories and 8 carbs per serving. I served it on a Aunt Millie’s Reduced Calorie Whole Grain Bun.

 

For the Fries I’m using Alexia Organic Yukon Select Fries. Seasoned them with McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Black Peppercorn Medley. Baked them at 425 degrees for 16 minutes. Directions

Today’s Menu: Dry Rubbed Santa Maria Boneless Petite Pork Shoulder Roast – Pulled Pork Sandwiches w/ Slow Cooked Yukon Gold Potatoes and Carrots

 

 

For Breakfast I had the Smithfield Anytime Favorites Sliced Ham again. This made such a delicious Breakfast Sandwich yesterday I couldn’t wait to have it again! To prepare it just heat up the Ham for 1 minute in a skillet and it’s ready! I then toasted a Healthy Life Whole Grain English Muffin. I topped the Ham with a slice of Sargento Reduced Calorie Swiss Cheese and served it on the Muffin. Made a delicious Breakfast sandwich. I also had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Hot and muggy with a passing shower outside today, as it was yesterday. After Breakfast I went to Meijer for a few items I needed and back home. After Lunch I got the leaf blower out of the shed and cleaned off the deck and driveway areas. Then got the clippers out and trimmed back the vines along the driveway. For Dinner tonight I prepared a Dry Rubbed Santa Maria Boneless Petite Pork Shoulder Roast – Pulled Pork Sandwiches w/ Slow Cooked Yukon Gold Potatoes and Carrots.

 

I got the Crock Pot out and lined it with a Plastic Liner and then sprayed that with Pam Cooking Spray. Added 3/4 cup of Water to the Pot and turned it on high to warm up. I began by slicing up my Yukon Gold Gourmet Potatoes and Whole Carrots. Put them into a large bowl and seasoned them with Extra Light Olive Oil, McCormick Grinder Italian Herb Seasoning, and McCormick Grinder. Tossed them in the bowl making sure they were well seasoned on all sides. I then added them to a large Pot of boiling Water and cooked them for about 12 minutes. I then added them to the Crock Pot and closed the lid. Potatoes and Carrots both take a while to get tender so that’s why I first boiled them for 12 minutes.

 

 

I had picked up a Swift Premium Dry Rubbed Santa Maria Boneless Petite Pork Shoulder Roast at Kroger the other day and preparing it for Dinner tonight. The Dry Rubbed Santa Maria Boneless Petite Pork Shoulder Roast comes packaged already seasoned. You can roast this in the oven or use the Slow Cooker as I am today. I removed the Shoulder Roast from the package and place in slow cooker on top of the Potatoes and Carrots. Put the lid on and cook on high for 4 hours or until everything was fork tender. A special “Thank You” goes out to whomever invented the Crock Pot Liners! You’ve made cooking so much easier!

 

Removed the Roast from slow cooker and allow to cool slightly. Then shred meat with two forks for my Sandwiches. The Roast came out mouth-watering delicious! Tender, moist, and well seasoned. So tender it broke apart while taking it out of the Slow Cooker. I’m serving it on a Aunt Millie’s Reduced Calorie Whole Grain Hamburger Bun and topped with some Jack Daniels Honey Smokehouse BBQ Sauce. Love this Sandwich! I’ll use the leftovers for Sandwiches for Lunch the next few days. The added Potatoes and Carrots worked great, giving it added flavor. Both came out fork tender and delicious! Later tonight I’ll have a Jello Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Pudding topped with Cool Whip Free.

 

 

 

 

Swift Premium Dry Rubbed Santa Maria Boneless Petite Pork Shoulder Roast

Cooking Directions:
Slow Cooker (preferred method):

1 – Remove meat from package.
2 – Place in slow cooker with 1 inch of water in bottom.
3 – Cover and cook on HIGH for 4 hours or until fork tender. Increase cooking time to 6 hours if cooking from frozen.
4 – Remove from slow cooker and allow to cool slightly.
5 – Shred meat with two forks.
Oven:

1 – Preheat oven to 350°F.
2 – Remove meat from package.
3 – Place pan on stovetop, add two tablespoons of oil and heat pot briefly on medium-high heat.
4 – When oil is hot, brown the roast on all sides.
5 – Place roast in oven safe dish with 1/2 cup of water. Cover and cook for 3 hours or until internal temperature in the thickest part of the meat reaches 185°F.
6 – Remove from oven and allow to rest for 15 minutes.
7 – Slice and serve.
8 – If shredded roast is desired, cook an additional hour.
*Slow cooker and oven temperatures may vary, adjust cooking times accordingly.

Seasoning Ingredients: Spices including paprika, sea salt, dextrose, dehydrated garlic & onion, yeast extract, natural flavors and citric acid.

Today’s Menu: Thousand Island Ground Chicken Cheese Burger w/ Baked Fries

 

 

 

For Breakfast this morning I prepared an Egg Suunyside Up, reheated the remaining piece of pork Chop, toasted a Healthy Life Whole Grain English Muffin, and had the morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Cleaned the house today, vacuumed and dusted. Then after Lunch I took Mom’s car to have the oil changed and then took it to washed and the inside vacuumed. Another hot and humid day out. Looks pretty good for an older car. For Dinner tonight its a Thousand Island Ground Chicken Cheese Burger w/ Baked Fries.

 

 

I had purchased a 1 lb. package of Ground Meijer Chicken while there the other day. I had no t had a ground Chicken Burger in a long time and it just sounded good! To make the Burger I’ll need; Pam Cooking Spray, Extra Light Olive Oil, Ground Chicken, Dried Sage (just a pinch), Sea salt, Ground Black Pepper, Litehouse Thousand Island Dressing, Kraft Deli Deluxe Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Aunt Millie’s Reduced Calorie Whole Grain Hamburger Buns.

 

 

 

 

To prepare it I was able to make 4 Burgers out the package of Ground Chicken. I added just a pinch of Rubbed Dried Sage to the Chicken and formed it into 4 Chicken Patties. I got a 10″ skillet that I lightly coated with Pam Cooking Spray and added a 1/2 tablespoon of Extra Light Olive Oil also. I then preheated the skillet on medium heat. I then fried the patties, 2 at a time. I fried them until the juices ran clear and I had an internal temperature reading of 165 degrees. Flipping the Burgers one time. After flipping it, with about 1 minute of frying time left I added my Cheese on it. I served it on an Aunt Millie’s Bun and topped the Burger with Litehouse Thousand Island Dressing. Love the Chicken Burger! Came moist and delicious, nice flavor to it and the Sharp Cheddar and Thousand Island Dressing was perfect with it.

 

To go with my Burger, what else but Baked Fries. I baked some Alexia Organic Yukon Select Fries. Seasoned them with McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Black Peppercorn Medley. Baked them at 425 degrees for 16 minutes. They bake up beautifully and seasoned just right, excellent Shoestring Fry! Plus they are only 120 calories and 15 net carbs. Litehouse Original Thousand Island Dressing and Dip

This flavorful favorite is made with quality ingredients, from our homemade mayonnaise, ketchup and sweet pickle relish. Litehouse Thousand Island is one of the original two flavors served in our restaurant over 40 years ago!

INGREDIENTS

Today’s Menu: Dry Rubbed Santa Maria Boneless Petite Pork Shoulder Roast – Pulled Pork Sandwiches w/ Baked Fries

 

 

To start my day off I had a Poached Egg and served it on a toasted Healthy Life Whole Grain English Muffin. Also had a cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Another rainy day outside again. We have several areas that had flooding from yesterday’s rains. So more on top of that, 85 degrees and muggy. So I stayed in and cleaned the house today. Started by getting a couple of loads of laundry started. Then dusted and vacuumed. Next into the kitchen and laundry room. Cleaned the oven, self-cleaning oven. Then dusted and cleaned around the washer and dryer. For Dinner tonight I prepared a Dry Rubbed Santa Maria Boneless Petite Pork Shoulder Roast – Pulled Pork Sandwiches w/ Baked Fries.

 

 

I had picked up a Swift Premium Dry Rubbed Santa Maria Boneless Petite Pork Shoulder Roast at Kroger yesterday and preparing it for Dinner tonight. The Dry Rubbed Santa Maria Boneless Petite Pork Shoulder Roast comes packaged already seasoned. You can roast this in the oven or use the Slow Cooker as I am today. I got my Crock Pot out and put a plastic liner in it and sprayed that with Pam Cooking Spray.First remove the Shoulder Roast from the package and place in slow cooker with 1 inch of water in bottom. Put the lid on and cook on high for 4 hours or until fork tender. A special “Thank You” goes out to whomever invented the Crock Pot Liners! You’ve made cooking so much easier!

 

 

 

Removed the Roast from slow cooker and allow to cool slightly. Then shred meat with two forks for my Sandwiches. The Roast came out mouth-watering delicious! Tender, moist, and well seasoned. So tender it broke apart while taking it out of the Slow Cooker. I’m serving it on a Aunt Millie’s Reduced Calorie Whole Grain Hamburger Bun and topped with some Jack Daniels Honey Smokehouse BBQ Sauce. This is a Sandwich! I’ll use the leftovers for Sandwiches for Lunch the next few days.

 

 

To go with the Pulled Pork Sandwiches I baked some Alexia Organic Yukon Select Fries. I seasoned them with McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Black Peppercorn Medley. Baked them at 425 degrees for 18 minutes. They bake up beautifully and seasoned just right, excellent Shoestring Fry! Plus they are only 120 calories and 15 net carbs. For dessert later a Jello Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Pudding.

 

 

 

 

 

Swift Premium Dry Rubbed Santa Maria Boneless Petite Pork Shoulder Roast

Cooking Directions:
Slow Cooker (preferred method):

1 – Remove meat from package.
2 – Place in slow cooker with 1 inch of water in bottom.
3 – Cover and cook on HIGH for 4 hours or until fork tender. Increase cooking time to 6 hours if cooking from frozen.
4 – Remove from slow cooker and allow to cool slightly.
5 – Shred meat with two forks.
Oven:

1 – Preheat oven to 350°F.
2 – Remove meat from package.
3 – Place pan on stovetop, add two tablespoons of oil and heat pot briefly on medium-high heat.
4 – When oil is hot, brown the roast on all sides.
5 – Place roast in oven safe dish with 1/2 cup of water. Cover and cook for 3 hours or until internal temperature in the thickest part of the meat reaches 185°F.
6 – Remove from oven and allow to rest for 15 minutes.
7 – Slice and serve.
8 – If shredded roast is desired, cook an additional hour.
*Slow cooker and oven temperatures may vary, adjust cooking times accordingly.

Seasoning Ingredients: Spices including paprika, sea salt, dextrose, dehydrated garlic & onion, yeast extract, natural flavors and citric acid.

Today’s Menu: Bacon and Cheese Bison Burger w/ Baked Fries

 

 

For Breakfast I tried a new Breakfast Sausage, al fresco Country Style Chicken Sausage Breakfast Patties. It’s a precooked Chicken Sausage Patty, it’s already seasoned also. I heated it up in a small skillet for a total of 6 minutes a side. Heated up quick and seasoned perfect. I served it on a Healthy Life Whole Grain English Muffin that I toasted. The Sausages are only 80 calories and 1 carb, I’ll have to keep these in stock! Also had my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Well the rains have finally let up. We’ve had close to 2 inches of rain here the past 2 days. A cool morning out, 39 degrees this morning. After Breakfast i went up to the local Kroger and bought Mom a Mother’s Day Card and Roses for Mother’s Day. Back home did some laundry and cleaned the oven and cleaned the fridge out. After Lunch went over to see Dad for a while. He seems to be doing better so we’ll wait and see. For Dinner tonight a Bacon and Cheese Bison Burger w/ Baked Fries.

 


It just felt like a Bison Burger type of day! And a Bacon and Cheese Bison Burger sounded even better! I normally use Wild Idea Buffalo Patties for my Burgers but I’m trying a new one this time from SayersBrook Bison Ranch, 3 oz Bison Patties. I’ve tried a lot of the other SayersBrook items and all were great so I thought I would give their Bison Patties a try. So I’m using the SayersBrook Bison Patties, for the Bacon I’m using SayersBrook Wild Boar Uncured Bacon, Kraft Deli Sharp Cheddar, and Healthy Life Whole Grain Hamburger Bun.

 

 

I first prepared the Wild Boar Uncured Bacon. The slices were not as long as most Bacon Slices, perfect size to use on Burgers. It fried up as normal Bacon and tasted great! Wild Boar Bacon has a richer taste and is leaner than Pork. As usual when preparing Bacon, you have to use Bacon Math to calculate how many slices you need to prepare. If you need to use 3 slices you should fry at 5 slices, 3 to use and 2 to munch on while you’re preparing Dinner. Bacon Math!

 

 

 

Next I preheated the oven to 425 degrees to bake my fries and on to the Burger. I prepared it as I do the Wild Idea Buffalo Burger.I seasoned it with McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Black Peppercorn. I then pan fried it, on medium heat, in Extra Light Virgin Olive Oil about 3 1/2 minutes per side. All Buffalo gets done rather quickly due to it’s so lean. After I flipped it, I topped it with a slice of Kraft Sharp Cheddar Cheese. I then topped it with Wild Boar Bacon and then served it on an Aunt Millie’s Reduced Calorie Whole Grain Bun. The Burger was excellent! It fried up great and its a very tasty Bison Burger.

 

 

The oven was preheated and I baked the Alexia Organic Yukon Select Fries. Seasoned them with McCormick Grinder Sea Salt and Black Peppercorn Medley. Baked them at 425 degrees for 16 minutes. They bake up beautifully and seasoned just right, excellent Shoestring Fry! Plus they are only 120 calories and 15 net carbs. For Dessert/Snack later a bowl of Skinny Pop – Pop Corn. We really enjoy the Skinny Pop – Pop Corn!

Today’s Menu: Cubed Steak Sandwich w/ Baked Waffle Fries

 

 

Started off the morning with a Poached Egg on a Healthy Life Whole Grain English Muffin. Also had my morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. I had this for Breakfast yesterday and it was so good I’m having it again! Beautiful day out here today. Well the deck is all done and it turned out great. Mom bought a new table for the deck and I put that together today. Caught up on all the cleaning so I got the cart out for a while and took a spin around the neighborhood and down by the lake. For dinner tonight I prepared a Cubed Steak Sandwich w/ Baked Waffle Fries.

 

 

It’s very seldom I use Beef but when I do it’s usually my favorite Cubed Steak, Meijer Beef Cubed Steak. When I go to Meijer I always pick up a package or two. The best Cubed Steak I have ever found by far. They’re good size patties so I’m able to cut them in half and get 2 meals out 1 pattie. I had a package in the freezer so I let it thaw overnight in the fridge. I first grabbed a small sauce pan and heated up a jar of Heinz Brown Mushroom Gravy. I added some sliced Portabella Mushrooms to it for some extra Mushrooms. To prepare the Cubed Steak I seasoned them with Sea Salt and Ground Black Pepper and I then dusted them in flour that I had mixed with a bit of Hungarian Paprika. Shook off the excess flour and pan fried them in Extra Virgin Oil, about 4 minutes per side. They came out delicious! Excellent flavor and very tender, especially for Cubed Steak which sometimes can be somewhat tough and stringy. Served it on toasted Healthy Life Whole Grain Bread and topped it with some Heinz Mushroom Brown Gravy. I’ll have the other half for breakfast in the morning.

 

To go with Cube Steak I baked some Ore Ida Waffle Fries. I preheated the oven to 425 degrees. I used a small baking sheet that I lined with foil and sprayed the foil with Pam Cooking Spray. The Waffle Fries are a little higher in calories than the Crinkle Fries I normally prepare, but it’s good to change it up a bit. So I lined the Fries on the baking sheet, seasoned them with Sea Salt and Ground Black Pepper, and baked them for about 17 minutes (until a light golden brown). Just a flat out excellent Fry, as all Ore Ida Products! I had a side of Hunt’s Ketchup for dipping the Fries and a Snapple Diet Half and Half Lemonade/Tea to drink. For dessert later a Weight Watcher’s Cookies and Cream Ice Cream Bar.

 

 

 

 

Cube Steak
Cube steak is a cut of beef, usually top round or top sirloin, tenderized by fierce pounding with a meat tenderizer, or use of an electric tenderizer. The name refers to the shape of the indentations left by that process (called “cubing”). Many professional cooks insist that regular tenderizing mallets cause too much mashing to produce a proper cube steak, and insist on either using specialized cube steak machines, or manually applying a set of sharp-pointed rods to pierce the meat in every direction. In Canada as well as in some parts of the United States, cube steak may be called a minute steak, because it can be cooked quickly.
Others distinguish minute steak as:
* simply referring to the cut, which is not necessarily tenderized;
* thinner than cube steak (hence does not need tenderizing);
* cut from sirloin or round, while cube steak cut is from chuck or round.
The term “minute steak” is also used in the United Kingdom, where the term “cube steak” is little known.

For Breakfast this morning I fried up a couple of Jennie – O Turkey Breakfast Sausage Links along with some Simply Potatoes Shredded Hash Browns. Also had that morning cup of Bigelow Decaf Green Tea. Lot of rain out there today. Showers on and off all day, had a high of 55 degrees. Good day to stay in and I did! So today I cleaned the house, vacuum and dusted. Then cleaned the fridge and oven in the Kitchen. Later on caught up on some shows I had recorded. For Dinner tonight i prepared BBQ Shredded Pork Sandwiches w/ Potato Chips.

 

 

 

I had used the Hormel Slow Simmered Pork Roast Au Jus but it had been a while since I’ve used it. It comes fully cooked in a sealed microwavable plastic tray. To prepare it first remove the outer sleeve and place vacuum-sealed tray in microwave, do not pierce or vent film. Then heat on high for 4 minutes. Self-venting film expands as it heats, forming a bubble to lock in flavor and juiciness. Let stand for 2 minutes. Peel back film and serve! Excellent Pork!

 

 


I served it on a Aunt Millie’s Reduced Calorie Whole Grain Hamburger Bun. I topped the Pork with some Jack Daniel’s Honey Smokehouse BBQ Sauce. For a side I had some Ruffle’s Reduced Fat Potato Chips. Also had an Ice-Cold Diet Dr. Pepper to drink. For Dessert later a Breyer’s 100 Calorie Vanilla Ice Cream Cup.
