  1. I don’t know why everyone keeps telling people to make the vortex in the pot when poaching eggs. That is a sure way to create stringy whites, and you can only poach one or two at a time!

    • My Mom has an antique Egg Poacher and its the only way we have ever made Poached Eggs. It’s a thin metal pot that you add water to and it has top that can poach three eggs. Then just put the lid on it and when you see a whisp of steam coming out they will be done in 3:15. The 3 minute egg. They com out perfect every time and no mess to clean up. We love that old thing!
