Today’s Menu: Baked Ham, Pepperoni, and Swiss Mini Sub w/ Baked Fries

I’d like to start off by saying congratulation to my Mom and Dad, today is their 67th Wedding Anniversary! Wow, 67 years! Love you both and hope you have many more. We have another humid day out again. They say we’ll have this humidity around for several more days before it ends. Lot of heavy rain again with more on the way. I went to Kroger early this morning for a few items and then stopped by McDonald’s and picked up Mom and Dad’s favorite Breakfast Sandwiches. For dinner tonight I prepared Baked Ham, Pepperoni, and Swiss Mini Sub w/ Baked Fries for everyone.

Bummed around the kitchen and pantry and nothing sounded good. Finally settled on a Baked Ham, Pepperoni, and Swiss Mini Subs. I used Smithfield Anytime Hickory Smoked Boneless Sliced Ham. The Ham is precooked so it’s a breeze to prepare. Heat it up for 30 seconds and it’s ready! Then I also used Kroger Brand Private Selection Old World Deli Sliced Pepperoni, Sargento Ultra Thin Swiss Cheese, LaRosa Sauce, and a Perfection Deli Mini Wheat Sub Bun.

To assemble the Sub I started by preheating the oven to 400 degrees. I grabbed a small cookie sheet and lined it with foil. I wrapped the Sub Bun in foil and heated it up in the oven for 5 minutes, just to get it a bit crispy. To start I spread LaRosa Sauce on the bottom bun. Then I layered 3 slices of the Pepperoni, followed by the Sliced Ham, and the Swiss Cheese and top Bun. Put the Sub on the pan and baked it for about 8 minutes. One good Sub Sandwich! Both Meats were perfect, then the LaRosa Sauce added the fantastic flavor, and topped with that melted Swiss Cheese! Sometimes it’s a good thing to have no dinner plans and then throw something together!

I also baked some Ore Ida Simply Cracked Black Pepper and Sea Salt Country Style Fries, served these with a side of Hunt’s Ketchup for dipping. For dessert later a Healthy Choice Dark Fudge Swirl Frozen Greek Yogurt.
